Trying to split audio between tv, soundbar, and stereo receiver. Tried several different types of splitters until I read that the best way was to use an optical splitter like this. It arrived overnight, plugged it in and everything works as desired.

Needed this splitter to connect wireless headphones and a soundbar to a Samsung Frame TV. This worked great and is built well. Simple to connect to components and happy with the product.

I have profound hearing loss and wear 2 Phonax hearing aids. This product has made TV viewing so much better. Even having a good sound system I was no longer able to make out TV voices, and closed captioning is not always the best and if having to rely on reading text I get migraines. Now I don’t even bother turning on my sound system. I just plug into this receiver and my hearing aids connect to it right away. It was easy to set up. My blue tooth enabled hearing aids have a phone app so picks up the receiver easily.

After cutting the cable, I needed to share the optical audio output from my TV to both my audio receiver and a device that transmits audio via bluetooth to my hearing aids. This splitter did the job perfectly.

I use this for splitting the audio signal from the TV to an Audio Visual Center and for a friends hearing aid transmitter so he can enjoy movies at our house as he does at his home.

It works!! I’ve purchased 5 1in adapters and they didn’t work, one was defective, one they wouldn’t refund my money, and I gave BlueRigger a chance. I’m so glad I did. Now my Bose sound bar is connected to my JVC dvd/cd player snd tv without having to do switching manually. Thank you do very much! I highly recommend BlueRigger!! Buy their electronic merchandise.

Impressed by construction of product and packaging! Installation was straight forward and simple!
Note: No mention of power requirement from USB source, but not a biggy if you have extra hole! (Cable is supplied) No issues with connections or sound quality! Used two of three outputs! Sound Bar & BT transmitter! Totally satisfied! Being electronic, hopefully all the little critters on circuit board will play together for a long time!

This is a real boon to those people that wear hearing aids and want to connect a streaming device to their TV and Sound Bar. The splitter allows this to happen. I know other devices can also be connected but this one allows me to hear the sound from the TV directly in my hear aids.

Bought 2 After Shokz headphones that our older tv couldn’t play to both headsets at the same time. So I bought a Bluetooth transmitter, but my tv only had an optical audio output. What to do? I bought this splitter. It worked perfectly and now my wife and I can listen to the tv on our own headsets. Didn’t have to buy a newer tv.

It does just what we wanted it to do: sound from DISH box and dvd player to sound bar without using more than one remote.

After buying a set of headphones that used the Digital Optical port I could not also use my sound bar. This device took care of the issue.

At first hookup the sound would go off every few seconds and then come back on. I unplugged from TV and plugged back in, pushing as hard as I could. Then it worked ok. Only heard one click, but it’s working now without any problems so far. A little costly, but I would buy again.

Allowed sending the optical output of the TV to my two channel stereo integrated amplifier & to my ZVox soundbar. The addition of the stereo makes a big difference. The benefit of the dialogue boost by the ZVox remains. It’s kind of a McGuyver 3.0 system!

Transmitted fiber optic sound well. Able to connect accessory headphone a still have a fiber optic source for sound bar for regular TV viewing without having to disconnect/connect any additional cables..

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWorked perfect for my husbands hearing aids and the speakers we use for watching tv. There was only one port on the back of the tv, so we needed the splitter to make both work. There is one more port on the splitter if we need it in the future.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted to have the TV optical out cable split connected to a TV sound bar and a 5.1 audio system. This did the trick and works flawlessly.

The splitter is very easy to install. Plug the TV optical out cable into the connector and connect the two other cables to their respective sound sources. The included optical cable will help so you won’t need to buy another cable.

Overall this simple device is making life simpler and I can switch from regular TV sound (news, talk shows) to 5.1 surround sound for those action movies. Have fun.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersInitially, this item failed to transmit any signal right out of the bag. It fitted the optical audio port very loosely. I returned it and got a replacement. I discovered why it was not working. The manufacturer needs to give more detailed instructions, specifically: Regular optical cables often have a single click into position. With this optical cable splitter, it requires a more vigorous push that results in two clicks on some TVs. I had to push much harder to get the second click into place. It is now working properly. The replacement and the manufacturer’s follow up instructions led me to be much more forceful in pushing the splitter into place.

Absolutely top class for the money spent. No loss of signal, as good as if there is no splitter involved. Fantastic buy as most TVs have only one optical output.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe BlueRigger 1×2 Toslink splitter was a snap to install and sends an excellent signal to both my soundbar and my Onkyo TX-8220 receiver – as if they were directly connected. I had tried an adapter with one Toslink and RCA jacks previously with another receiver that had only analog inputs, and that was less than satisfactory because the analog output was too low to adequately drive the receiver. I have no such issues with the BlueRigger. Unfortunately, my Samsung Smart TV no longer recognizes the soundbar, and also doesn’t recognize the receiver, even when only one is powered on. I have to use the dedicated remote for either the soundbar or the receiver to adjust the volume. Not sure why I could control the volume on the soundbar with the old adapter, but not with the BlueRigger, but it’s a relatively minor inconvenience. The price of the BlueRigger is also a bit high, which surprises me mostly because the old Toslink/RCA adapter cost less, and I’d have thought a unit with its own DAC would be more expensive.

Unfortunately this splitter didn’t work as I had hoped. I was trying to split the audio signal to feed a sound bar and my hearing aids. Sound bar was fine but hearing aids not! I excellent and very prompt technical support from BlueRigger but was unable to resolve the problem. Regrettably had to return the splitter for a refund. Despite BlueRigger confirming the return has been received Amazon, as yet, have failed to refund the purchase. Once again excellent service from BlueRigger.

This item is good but while connecting input to the T.V.and 2 output one connected optical cable to the RCA cable to the Home Theatre and other output optical cable to the HD rush box. The sound was coming through RCA but from other out the sound was not coming. I think it’s one output was not working. Hence I need a excellent blue rigger for my home theatre. Please provide me the best blue rigger. Thanks to Amazon.

This optical splitter really works. We have a Zvox sound bar (which also really works) but when my husband bought some Bluetooth hearing aids I found we only had one optical audio outlet on the TV. This splitter allows me to have the clarity of the sound bar whilst my husband can have the sound straight into his hearing aids.
