Realistically this includes things I’m probably never gonna use but since it was I think very fairly priced I figured why not. Nice to have an all in one box for amateur uses. Very happy with this and everything I’ve used so far is high quality.

A great little set of screwdriver bits, hexagon sockets, HSS twist drills, wood bits and masonry bits all in onehandy and easy-to-open box.

Being a cheap set, there isn’t a huge range of sizes of drill bits but good enough for most jobs.

Quality of the bits is fine although the masonry drill bits don’t like the engineering-type of bricks that my house is made from (but then, in all fairness, no masonry drill bits cope well with my bricks!) and tend to overheat and blunt easily.

hese are the best drill bits for this price. They are high quality bits that look and feel really good. the only downside is that the holes are a little to small for the items that are in there so it is a bit hard to remove items and insert them but other than that it is great.

Great all round set. Incredible value for money and good quality products. Its really helpful having some of the pieces in the set that you do not use that often but come in really handy for those few occasions. All comes in a handy case that isn’t too big to lug around.

The case is really cheaply made sadly. Not what I’d expect of Bosch. The bits so far are all performing really well. Fiddly to take in and out if the case though.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had the identical “Drill bits only” set of these forever, I consider them my “good drills” – but after losing so many bits over the years I decided to replace it, and I can say if your a professional / frequent DIY’er you know what your getting with Bosch – but if your just starting out, this is a safe/brilliant purchase.

All the driver bits you’d really need, all the drill bits to do most odd jobs, and some spades for when you get adventurous all stored in a pretty solid case with some care it’ll see you a good long time.

This set is a really good all-rounder bit box, and at a good price point. Has a nice variety of head types (philips, posidrive, flat, torx) and wood/stone/metal drill types in most common smaller sizes (with a handy guide on the back to remind you which is which), plus bit holder and a couple of socket wrenches and a countersink drill. This is actually the second one of these I’ve had, the first one I had to leave behind at my old job.

All of the bits are good quality. not quite the same level as the amazing stuff you pay top money for, but durable and well made. Anyone short of a tradesman who is drilling/screwing things constantly all day should be well satisfied. The case is just ok. I found the hinges on it got battered after a couple of months and I had to tape it together, but I was pretty rough with it. It has a place for everything and it makes it easy to keep track of all the bits.

Definitely worth a buy if you just need a good set of basics without wanting to pay for three or four different sets to cover everything.

Golden Review Award: 66 From Our UsersRecently I’ve taken to destroying drill bits for some reason. I use the correct ones in the correct way but even so I’ve been getting breakages that sometimes have left half the bit in the workpiece (a “bee hotel”, for example), so I’ve become a bit more concerned about finding ones that do the job for me without too much fuss. Bosch is a trusted brand for me; I use a lot of their tools these days, so these were bought to replace older non-branded bits that until now I never knew I was struggling with.

A bit like some screws will drive more easily into a workpiece, drill bits can be the same, and although it is hard to get specific about why these bits would be any better than any other, I find working with them is actually overall just a bit less hassle. I could try to theorise about why, but what’s the point? They’re just easier to use, and this basic set is fine for general DIY, covering most of the situations a typical house and garden will throw at you. It not only has screwdriver bits and drill bits (for masonry, wood and metals, 5 or 6 of each), but the more common socket spanner sizes too. My only gripe is the means of holding the bits in place by the use of small rubbery inserts through which the shanks of the bits are pushed – it could be easier, but I guess that Bosch thought that this approach would be more durable than small plastic clips that would become brittle with age.

What I would emphasise is that if possible you check the contents quite carefully (they’re listed in the product description for the item). There are more comprehensive kits above this most basic one that may suit your needs better if you do a lot of work rather than the occasional fix-up of something. For the price, getting more of the commonly-used bits has seldom been easier. After all, it’s the most used stuff that suffers the most! I’d never really twigged the idea that drill bits could just get old and less effective even when they still look superficially okay, and getting a new set really woke me up to that fact. I needed more screwdriver bits and drill bits so, for me, this was an obvious choice.
