Great to cut woods and even I have old elements of panels and plastic. Pure enjoymemt using this disc with my grinder. I used that even at akward cutting of the tree roots.
These are good but expensive so be careful what you cut as they will burn out quickly on some items. I needed to access a pipe behind some tiles that was boxed in, so used this between the tiles in the grout…. However the previous owner had tiled over tiles so I was cutting into tiles rather than wood or plasterboard….it did the job but burnt out quickly! If I’d had known it was tile I’d have used a specific tile cutter. At 10+ it was expensive for 1 job!!
I love this addition to my angle grinder’s arsenal. Particularly useful with reused timber that some clod has left nails in, this thing will surgically remove those pernicious fragments and preserve your expensive carbide cutting tools. Also great for plunge cutting wood where space is limited, such as floorboards or carving away material at a far greater rate than a chisel/die grinder/Dremel, etc. Complements a vibra saw very nicely, for getting out of a tight spot when you’ve painted yourself in a corner. Seems pretty resilient too but I try to avoid cutting anything really hard e.g. hardened steel.
I never had used a Tungsten cutting disc before, but I needed to cut small wooden profiles and beads. I am glad I got this cutting disc. It made a brilliant job. Depending on the pressure and speed, you can be pretty fast cutting or you take it slow and get the cut almost to a polished level. No ripped splinters or anything like that. The cuts turned out to be just perfect. Even trimming off a millimeter or two was no issue at all. I can not yet comment on the ability to cut nails or how it performs with other materials than softwood.
So handy to have this disk. I have a battery powered angle driver and this is the go-to disc for all the small, odd jobs. It doesn’t run away on you and is clean cutting.
I used it to trim plastic window boxes to the size I needed. It cuts quickly and fairly cleanly through the thin plastic, and is also good on wood. Not tried yet on metal so I can’t comment on that. A good cutting disk.
This product looks great, I’ve not had chance to use it yet as I’ve not been in work due to the Corona Virus lockdown, so unfortunately this is all I can say at present.
The delivery was earlier than suggested which is always a plus.
Cut wood fast when new. And same with plastic.
It did cut through 2 nails but then struggled with the other materials afterwards.
I would buy it again but wouldn’t use it on nails. Just change disc
Does the job and a third of the price of a Mexico blade but, you probably only a third of the life from it.
I mainly use it on 110mm soil pipe.
Arrived and tested today. Cuts wood very quickly and cleanly, but if cutting deep, you do get a whiff of wood smoke. But it is not really designed for heavy duty deep cutting. I cut some UPVC profiles. Very good.
Best for quick cuts, thinner materials. (laminate flooring, fence boards etc).
I have not tried to cut nails yet and hope not to, to extend life of blade. But being Bosch (made in Switzerland). I am sure it will do the job.
