Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s very good for finer hairs but not for any stubborn hairs. Good value though.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFor the cleansing brush, applying cleaning lotion was easier to put on my skin and run the brush over. Otherwise the lotion ran off the brush.
The Epilator was easy for me. I have fine hair and it dealt with longer hair but had to run over short hair several times. Apart from the initial pin pricks, there was no ‘pain’. But it depends on your hair type and whether you regularly use tweezers or other treatment.
I have sensitive skin and I followed the instructions to cleanse well before using the Braun.
One caution – I brushed the tweezers with Surgical Spirit (Ethanol) recommended by Braun. If using Surgical Spirit, dillute it. The bristles fell out of the brush! This caused some humour in our house.
It was my choice to buy the single battery product because it would be difficult to use a recharger in our household in private.
Overall I am more confident than I’ve been in years and so far have used it 4 times and am satisfied with it. Thank you Braun.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersNow I don’t know why other people are saying it’s not painful, they are outright liars! I’ve never epilated anything begore and secided to give the ol’ upper lip a go and bloody Nora did it hurt! I had to do it in stages throughout the evening, just to get over the intense feeling of my tash being violently ripped out bit by bit. Saying that, it’s now been done and my lip is super soft and I no longer look like I have an eyebrow perched above it. I think it won’t be so bad to keep on top of… At least I hope not.
It did the job, so that’s good, but the battery did start to die quite soon. Maybe I was a bit much for it, who knows.
I haven’t used the face brush, I have a flannel for that, so I can’t comment on how well that works.
Anyway, there you go. Works great but use at your own risk!

Ok at removing soft hair but not so good with more coarse hair.
Overall not too bad a purchase, would have been a bit disappointed if I had paid full price for it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersLove this, wish I had bought one earlier. I am now 66, since I was 15 I’ve been plucking my eyebrows, and got used to a little bit of stinging.

This is fabulous, easy to use, to me it’s no different than plucking one or two hairs, but it’s actually plucking quite a few at the time. First time I used it was a little bit pinky coloured skin, but thereafter no problem with skin discolouration. It does what it says on the tin, I mean box. Now it’s used on my chin area too, also upper lip.

    Bravo Brau

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGreat epilator for the face. Does what it says and removes face hair. I don’t find it too painful and it feels alright. Looks very good and seems well made. The only issue I have with it is that you have to go over an area a few times to get all the hairs. Also wish the motor was a little bit faster and stronger but maybe this is designed this way on purpose. All in all I like it and would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s great, saves a lot of fiddling about with tweezers. It’s quick. But for some reason new batteries seem to lose power very quickly. Mine after a while start really slow then gather up speed, but this is unpredictable and annoying. It’s flat out right after battery change but then just flakes out. Sometimes knocking it makes it speed up. But overall it’s miles better than tweezing individual hairs. I’ll put up with its fickle temperament for the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersgreat product I was looking for a new face exfoliator and when I saw this had an epilator I though why not give it ago… not normal a fan of epilators but this is fine. works well on the face and don’t feel I have to do it very often. took me a while to work out how to change the attachment I was trying to twist… you just pull.

I’m a guy and was looking for an easy way to remove those ugly annoying hairs that sprout out of a guy’s ears for no apparent reason! After reading reviews on here I wasn’t holding much hope this was man enough for the job but I experimented with my wife’s plug in full power leg epilator before ordering. Now even though I nearly lost half an ear and practically burst both eardrums from the noise I saw that it could work and decided to go for this less powerful option! Well I wasn’t disappointed! On my ear hairs atleast it does a perfect job. Every hair plucked out leaving me with smooth bald ear holes and lobes! I would be telling lies if I said there was no pain but it’s way less painful (and quicker) than a pair of tweezers in my wife’s ungainly hands! The noise level is also much more palatable and you can always put a bit of cotten wool in your ears if it’s too loud for you. So for simple removal of ugly ear hairs I 100% recommend! Should be marketed as a male grooming aid for unsightly ear hairs.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’ve tried various methods for years to remove unwanted upper lip hair. Hair removal cream is rubbish and always leaves some hairs behind. Also irritating to skin. Waxing worked but the area is red for 24 hrs after, it hurts, leaves dry patches and forget it in summer or you’ll have a different coloured moustache zone. So for maybe 5 years I’ve just given up and half heartedly plucked a few at the corners of my mouth while crying silently. Because ouch.

I dubiously bought this after reading the top few negative reviews and decided I’d return it if it was terrible, but I have avoided epilators forever since I bought a crappy leg epilator in 2007 and it hurt so much I threw it away, so expectations were very low. Well what can I say, this thing worked SO WELL!

Firstly, yeah it hurts a bit. But if you’re a regular tweezer, it’s not half as bad as individually plucking! It plucks like 30 at once and the numbness sets in pretty quickly. I’d say if individual tweezing is an 8/10 on the pain barometer then this is more like a 5-6. Secondly, it not only got rid of the longer hairs but also removed those annoying tiny blond hairs too- completely smooth. Thirdly, my upper lid was red afterwards, but it disappeared after a few hours (helped with a cold flannel).

I’m just really happy with the results. No more hours of painful tweezing for me, no sir. Give me a few minutes of less painful epilating with this tool and I am very, very happy. Highly recommended for fellow tweezer users who get depressed every time they have to get the tweezers out.

So I’ve been plucking my chin hairs for a while now. It’s a pain in the bum, and I am very self conscious about it. Decided to try an epilator as I was finding it a bind all the time and I didn’t always get everyone only the ones I could see.
This was easy. I didn’t think it hurt at all, and it was really good for those awkward eyebrow hairs that just won’t pluck out. All in all a worthwhile purchase.

I was sceptical how easy the epilator would be would be to use and how uncomfortable but pleasantly surprised. Probably not great if you have very heavy hair growth and require frequent use over large area of skin but so far for me upper lip hair regrowth not even visible after 2 weeks and no problems with spots or ingrowing hairs. Less discomfort and easier hair removal if you stretch area of skin being treated.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI use it everyday on my top lip, if I left it a few days the hair would be quite thick, this makes me wonder why the hair is coming back so quick, a wax would keep the hair away for a few weeks. This must mean that it isn’t plucking the lip hair at root, but some of it is shaving or breaking the hair. You really have to work hard to get most of the hair from the top lip and you could be an hour making strange faces trying to get some stubborn hair, I end up plucking the stubborn out with my nails or a tweezers. The bikini line is a nightmare, there are hairs that are 1cm long and no matter what you do, it won’t remove them, if you bunch your skin together it will bite your skin and that hurts a lot, you can spend up to 2 hours trying to do the bikini line and it just won’t work on some hair, so I would say it is 80% effective on bikini hair. I try it on my legs and again, it will do 80% of the hair and you will be about 2 hours on one leg. I have found it to be more effective at keeping hair away for longer on the legs and bikini line, but it is also obvious that some hair appears after a few days, so this was either shaved or broken off. I dream of having a much better one, but when I am at home, I will use this on lips, face, chin, neck everyday and it is beside me on the chair the whole time, so I’d be lost without it.

I bought this during lockdown when beauticians were shut as I normally get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded every two weeks. I was a bit worried by other reviews over the battery life but I’ve had no problems – I’ve used it three times already and still have battery power. It works well on the upper lip – the sensation is prickly and exactly the same as threading so if you’re used to that, it’s fine. I did get an annoying breakout of pimples on my chin after my first attempt, even though I cleansed before and after. The second time, I used witch hazel on the area which improved the breakout a bit. The third time, I left the chin – it’s difficult to decide which is worse – fine hair or spots?! I tried to tidy my eyebrows with it but wouldn’t recommend as it would be too easy to rip too many hairs out and totally ruin the shape. I’m pleased I bought it as I will continue to use it for my upper lip and maybe chin – it will save me loads of money in the long run as I will only get my eyebrows threaded professionally from now on.

I bought first time epilator because of my excessive hair growth on my chin as I have PCOS. My hair are thick and this epilator can plug it well after using twice or third time on the same area I can see this epilator plug my hair up to 90 % from its roots and till two week I don’t have to worry about threading. In starting it gives little pain then slowly I use to of it but honestly it a bit relief for me to do threading every week. This machine makes my life Easy the only problem is this epilator use the power of battery more and I use three times up till now and can feel the speed of the epilator has decrease. But other wise i really like this product.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAfter reading the reviews I wasn’t sure if this was going to work, but it was in the sale for 30 and I thought I’d give it a go, I have (embarrassingly) a lot of thick hair on the chin similar to underarm hair when it grows in and I have been shaving/plucking for years, it’s something I’m so conscious and embarrassed about, I have to do this every morning so it takes me longer to get ready, I also can’t not wear full coverage make up as I need to hide my 12 o’clock shadow, I’ve tried everything waxing does not work for me, bought this and I am so happy! It is easy to use, battery powered and gets all over the hairs out you can see it has pulled to the root! I wish I could get a good before and after photo because it has literally done under my chin in minutes, it takes a few seconds to get the right angle and yes it does hurt but no more than plucking etc it is not unbareable at all! So happy, I don’t usually write reviews but for this I had to, honestly I wish I knew about this earlie

Hi all, this was my first time using an epilator, and quite frankly it terrified me. The pinchers rotate very fast and I was scared to put any pressure on the skin, but eventually I did get some results – around half of hair was removed in that area, the rest I had to pluck. That could be my lack of bravery or the product, I’m not sure; hence why the 4 star rating I gave. It did miss single/double hairs entirely, but patches of hairs I had more luck with. Maybe practice is needed!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAs a 50+ lady who has upper lip hair (not peach fuzz) which has thickened with age, the time came to remove it! I have fast growing, thick hair. Hair removal creams are ineffective so I discovered. So epilating was the way to go.

Does this work on thick coarse hair? Yes it does, but do not expect miracles. It does not get every hair and loses power quite quickly.

That said, after a few months I am now having to epilate less often. It does pull the hairs out with the root ball which you can see if you rinse out.

I sterilise it with surgical spirit after every use so have had no problem with area getting infected.

I purchased rechargeable batteries to overcome the loss of power problem (if only they made one for mains power).

So I would recommend because it has been effective but it does take perseverance if you have quite a lot of coarse hair. Rechargeable batteries are a must. Of course were it more powerful I suspect it would hurt the upper lip a lot more! It is portable which means you could easily put it in a handbag should you wish. It’s not very noisy either.

It is not effective on my few chin hairs but years of plucking have made this a tough area which doesn’t give up hair without a fight! For this I use a more powerful mains epilator with a top for sensitive areas.

Have not star rated the brush because I use a different one.

    Hope this helps.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI am generally quite sceptical of grooming devices specifically for the face and have made do with a pair of tweezers for this sensitive area for most of my life, but I decided to buy this product due to it’s claims of being speedy, and because I have owned a more conventional epilator by Braun before that has never let me down. So far, I’ve only used the device once or twice, and will leave another review in a couple of months to provide some more clarity.
I am very happy with it at this early stage. I’m by no means unused to epilation on the skin so can’t judge how painful it would feel to someone not used to the pulling sensations – only that the tiny epilator head feels gentle enough and is easy to manipulate around really tricky areas above and below the brow – an absolute win for me, as it takes ages to manually groom thick eyebrows with tweezers! It is indeed speedy and effective and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Though I bought this thing for the epilator alone really, I did try out the cleansing brush attachment and was shocked at how effective that was as well. I tend to wear foundations at least 5 days a week and need to be careful to keep the T-zone of my face clean as this is a problem area for spots and blocked pores. The brush worked beautifully at helping apply my current cleanser and though it sounds rather silly: my face felt really good after my cleansing routine was done, (glowing would be the word). I am seriously impressed here, this is finally a device with an attachment that I won’t simply keep in my cupboard and completely forget about: both the epilator and the brush parts have proven to be quick and effective alternatives to manual tweezing, which is glacially slow, and using wash cloths to help with makeup removal, which pull the skin about too much and can actually cause fine lines. The attachments are easy to clean, but I have made a note to be mindful of keeping any moisture out of the main parts as certain reviews I have seen online suggest it isn’t as waterproof as intended.
Overall, I am hopeful that this device will continue to prove reliable in the coming months and continue to knock time off my cleansing/tweezing routines. If the good results remain (and my face continues to glow like it has been doing!), I’d wager it’ll be hard going finding a better facial epilator on the market at this price range.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs someone with a combination of dark hair and relatively fairer skin i needed something that would remove excess hairs thoroughly and without much pain. After scrolling through a number of products I came this Braun Face epilator. What appealed to me about this product was firstly the respected brand name and the positive reviews. The fact that it came with a cleaning brush was also a bonus!

Upon using the item for the first time it did take some getting used to. Having said that, the instructions and functionality became easy to get the hang of after a couple of minutes of use. Depending on where on your face you use this item dictates the degree of discomfit you experience. For example the sides of the face are largely pain free but once you move inward towards the centre of the face the pain increases also.

Having used the epilator i can honesty say that it gets the job done and removes almost all if not all hairs from any given area. However, after using the item i noticed in the area that i removed the hairs i would (in the following hours) get small irritated pimples which would engulf my face and cause it too itch. Therefore i believe that it is also important to prep your skin before and after commencing any exfoliation to ensure that long term damage is not caused especially if you have sensitive skin. This is where the brush came in very handy, as it removed all dead skin and excess oils leaving my skin feeling super clean! Personally i use the brush head only (strange i know) without the the electronic counterpart as i find it easier to simply pick up and use without changing the heads on the item. I also find that this allows me to have more control and is gentler on skin.

Overall, this item is great and efficiently gets the job done. However, i have currently stopped using the epilator as my skin is recovering from a previous side effect of its use where i got crazy acne which i have NEVER EVER had before. This is causing me to be apprehensive in continuing to use the product as an epilator. Therefore make sure that you monitor the condition/ changes in your skin throughout its continued use. Just in case.

The epilator I excellent for my eyebrow area, I have another Braun epilator for my legs with a face attachment but it is too awkward to get underneath my eyebrow area, but with this it makes it so easy.

I am dark haired and only get the odd stray dark hair under my eyebrows which are easily plucked every couple of weeks, but I always get loads of very fine blonde hairs under my eyebrows which takes ages to pluck them all, but they were gone within seconds using the epilator attachment.

The brush attachment was not what I was expecting, I thought it was a rotating brush but the brush head just vibrates. Just down to lack of research on my part.

When I first put the brush attachment on my face I was disappointed, firstly because it didn’t rotate and also I felt it wasn’t powerful enough, however as I carried on I began to feel the brush exfoliate my face which left my a skin glowing afterwards.

I have excema so have very sensitive skin and have to be very careful with what I use on my face. This item makes it so much easier to cleanse my face using only water.

Also I would like to add when I used this I had already cleansed my face beforehand and was shocked how much dirt was on the brush after just a few seconds.

Overall I am delighted with my purchase, I see you can also get different brush attachments to suit your skin type so intend to buy the multipack to try them all ou

Golden Review Award: 207 From Our UsersMaybe a bit dramatic saying this is a life changer but it really is.

Being diagnosed with PCOS almost 20yrs ago I have always battled with facial hair. Sunshine was my enemy making those dark or freakishly long hairs sparkle and shine like a super bright beacon for everyone to see.

In my 20’s I spent a fortune on electrolysis and epil 2000 treatments that were painful and pointless. They made it worse. I had small patches on either side of my chin which seemed to spread with these treatments.

So I resigned myself to a lifetime of weekly waxing and daily tweezer top ups. Using my long hair or my hand to hide my chin whenever anyone came close enough. Flinching and cringing whenever a boyfriend touched my chin.

At 38, I finally decided to try a facial epilator. I am not sure why this has never occurred to me before. Maybe because I used one on my legs once when I was 16 and screamed with the pain and never thought epilating was for me.

Ok it’s painful. Especially the 1st time but not anymore painful than waxing. And it’s quite a nice pain as I know those ugly little hairs are getting pulled out.

You do have to figure out which way to switch the switch so you are going against the hair growth. And it slows down a bit when it’s got a really thick stubborn hair.

It gives a fantastic smooth result. It feels so much better than after a waxing. It’s a great size for chin and upper lip.

I used the face brush in the shower a couple of times but I think I went to hard with it on the sensitive area around my nose as I came out with a small graze.

The only downside of it is that it does seem to eat batteries. You need it rolling fast to decrease the pain so you need the batteries at full strength. Cheap batteries will only last a few treatments. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. For something so small you would think a decent Duracell battery would last forever.

All in all I WISH I had bought this years ago. I don’t care about sunlight anymore. When out with friends for lunch or dinner I don’t have to make sure I am sitting with my back to the sun so my face is in shadow.
I don’t cringe when my husband touches my face.

I am hoping with time the hairs will get finer or even stop growing all together. I keep everything crossed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis seemed like the answer to two needs together in one piece of kit,(I don’t want a cupboard full of kit cluttering up my life).
    First the cleansing brush.
Well, it is certainly gentle, didn’t really work up the foam on my face wash product, but I used it after I have cleansed with baby wipes and eye makeup remover, and was not too surprised to find that the brush had picked up quite a lot of remaining makeup, since I normally wet wash my face after my ‘baby wipe and eye makeup remover ritual). After rinsing off the face wash, my face felt clean and soft, and after 3 days of using the brush morning and night, I do think my skin has changed. I need less moisturiser and less makeup. Mmm! does that tell you I had a mucky face till now?
    Now the epilator.
It is quite ‘ouch!’, but needs must, so I carried on. After several ‘passes’, it didn’t removed all of the fuzz on my chin and top lip, I finished off with tweezers. Not a lot of redness after using it, but not a lot of result either. Not why I bought it, so not sure it is worth the extra cost or the ‘ouch’…but the ‘ouch’ tells me it was doing something, if not everything. Maybe with a couple of tries I will get the hang of the process and will do better.
A nice thing was that the battery was included so I didn’t have to go ferreting round my battery store to find one. Changing the heads is simple and easy. Delivery was fast and packaging good/secure.(one star is for these points, three for the product)
Overall, I think it is probably a bit overpriced given the epilator is not great.

This is the third one I have bought after temporary problems with a Chinese “epilator” which was a glorified razor and created horrible ungirly stubble. This came with a battery already fitted, plus a spare battery. It worked straight away. There are 2 opposite direction buttons. One removes hair, the other doesn’t. Still haven’t figured out why. They still haven’t worked out how to do a proper top so there is still the easy to demolish groove in the plastic cap. This is unsuitable for fine upper lip hair unless you are on Who Dares Wins – seriously painful. Stick to wax strips for that. However, removes nearly all the rest so I have given it an extra star as my chin looks so much better. Still grossly overpriced for a cheap-looking plastic device with limited life. This is my previous review:Given the price, the design could have been much more sensible. The instructions are poorly printed and the diagram small, confusing and badly drawn. The battery is awkward to fit and it got me several goes to get the thing to switch on. The plastic groove to undo the battery part at the bottom of the handle is awkward and the plastic slightly soft there. Not very durable. The top has an asymmetric fit inside which is difficult to place because there are no arrows to match it up. The device has a tinny whine when in action. The switch goes 2 ways, allegedly to allow for different hair directions. However, results are patchy and there are some hairs (not mini stubble either) which it doesn’t get at all, whichever way the switch has gone. Nevertheless, it gets rid of a lot which would be daunting to attack with just a pair of tweezers and is better than nothing. However, it is very overpriced for what it is and the brush attachment is nothing amazing, so doesn’t justify the cost, either. Strangely, although I have sensitive skin, didn’t find it very painful and there has been no reddening. This is a welcome time saver but doesn’t do a total job.

Bought this and like it a lot. I spend most mornings trying to remove individual hairs which is just frustrating & time consuming. I used the Braun epilator today and I’m quite pleased with the results so far. If you’re used to using tweezers then you’ll be fine with this. It’s not 100% perfect as there were a couple of hairs it couldn’t pull, but only the tiniest ones that you might struggle to pull with a pair of tweezers. Hopefully this will save me more time in the mornings getting ready & to be able to take it anywhere with me for quick use if needed. I found it better to roll the epilator vertically (repeating a few times), rather than horizontly. The face brush is very good too, my skin felt nice & soft after using it. I’d give this product 9/10.
(For any tiny hairs I would recommend ‘Tweezerman’ tweezers. Just bought these and they’re the best I’ve ever had, not cheap but worth the money.)

Golden Review Award: 95 From Our UsersI’ve only just started using this but so far, I’m happy with the results. I bought it equally for the epilator and the cleansing brush head, so for the double duty it has, the price is really impressive (I got it for 1/3 off, but even full price I’d have been happy).

The epilator is good, the small head is nice and precise, and it doesn’t pinch too much – just make sure you do hold your skin as taut as possible. The only quibble I do have with this is that it claims to work to 0.2mm, but I’d say it struggles to manage quite that.

The brush head is nice and soft, so won’t hurt your skin. It’s much more affordable than the near-identical Clinique version which I had been tempted by, so it has that going for it. Although buying replacements will cost about 5 a go, they only need replacing every 3 months so it’s not expensive at all. It does leave you feeling lovely and clean and my skin does look more radiant due to the removal of dead skin cells, without it feeling harsh.

Overall, really glad I purchased, will be using this a lot. It’s also completely battery powered making it nice and portable.
