A little expensive but has done the job others have failed to do as partner has extremely sensitive skin and gets lots of ingrowing hairs but this hasn’t done that his only minor for him was the width of the handle could of done to be bigger for him but that maybe perfect for other people. Overall a great razo

I bought this on the basis of the Which? review, and I’m delighted. I’ve been using Phillips 9000 type razors for years – very pleased with them, but genuine replacement heads for them are almost twice the price of this Braun razor, so I took the plunge and bought one. Delighted with the shave it gives, and really impressed by how it deals with those stray longer hairs – very clever design. And the whole thing is about a fifth of the price of my old Phillips.

It works well for the money , but the advertised precision trimmer is not at all what I expected, you can’t trim your side burns with it because it’s In between the ordinary blades, now I will have to buy a razor with a sideburn trimmer ..Bit disappointing that , I think it’s misleading to say it has a precision trimmer when it’s not as we all know a trimmer to be .

Liked the look of this shaver and checked other peoples review which in the main were positive so ordered it and have not been disappointed. Battery life is good and I get a good clean shave.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this razor as it was recommended for sensitive skin and found it to be exactly as described. I use it every day and have had no problems. It gives a decent enough close shave and is really good for sensitive skin. It doesn’t have a trimmer so if you need one this isn’t the model for you. For the price and performance it’s been a good buy.

Why pay a fortune when the same shave can be had for a fraction of the price.
BUT there was nothing on the website to say ‘no clippers on this model’. … so, 1 star lost. Good close shave and 45 mins battery life on a 1 hour charge …. Whats not to like.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this shaver after reading ‘which’ report upon it, after considering replacing my existing Phillips with other shavers costing a lot more. The Braun gives a very close shave, easy to operate and clean, and is excellent value for money. I would say that it is not entirely clear in its advertising that there is no trimmer for sideburns etc., and is a bit ambiguous in that respect, but that is no big deal.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt uses the same shaver cartridge as my old Braun so gives the same good performance. It’s a dty shaver only with no frills and only for dry use but can be used corded, which the wet and dry versions obviously can’t. Cheapest shaver in the range and best value.
The only downside for me is that the shaver head, common across the range, doesn’t give me anywhere near the 18 months suggested as possible – I’m lucky to get half that and I would describe my facial hair as pretty average.

Bought this to replace my old Braun Series 3 shaver. Obviously being brand new it shaves quicker and closer than my old one (which was 4 years old) so we’ll see how it’s doing in a year’s time. Disappointing there’s no sideburn trimmer like my previous one had – this is a basic shaver that does a good job. If I get two years trouble free shaving out of it then I’ll be happy.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe product description for this shaver clearly states ‘with Precision Trimmer’ which I took to mean a separate long hair trimmer for sideburns etc.
However I was extremely disappointed to find on this model there is in fact no Precision Long Hair Trimmer included. It is just an ordinary Electric Shaver for men.
Apart from that I have found it to be a very efficient shaver which gives a very good smooth shave. It is comfortable to hold and very easy to clean. A plastic cover was supplied to protect the shaver when not in use as well as a small brush for cleaning and a 2 pin plug lead for re-charging.
Once fully charged it is sufficient for a daily shave for a full week before re-charging.
Overall it is a very nice shaver, it is just a shame that it does not come with a Long Hair Trimmer as I was expecting.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy husband had always used another make of razor but had started to complain that it was not doing a very good job. After looking at the reviews I decided to buy him the Braun 3000 electric. He is really pleased with the performance of it and together with the ergonomic shape he is a very happy man.

Had a variety of razors over the years but always foil, including Braun. I think this is probably the best although I have only used it for a couple of weeks. Yet to charge it a second time. I am retired and really have never found an electric razor which successfully cuts hair on sides of neck. This one is not 100% but it certainly does a pretty good job providing you stretch the skin as advised in instructions, reducing the times you have to finish with a conventional wet shave around neck area

I am a bit disappointed as it doesn’t give me a close enough shave, despite going over the same area many times, but without better results. It maybe that I have the facial hair akin to that of a badger? However it feels well made and is easy to hold.

The razor is good value and the battery life is excellent.

BUT … the cutter assembly is very difficult to keep clean. The cutter has poor life – mine was cutting poorly after 8 months and I gave up after 10 and ordered a replacement. It is quite bonkers that the cutter costs over half the cost of the whole razor.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI concur greatly with those reviews I’ve read. This is a quality shaver that gives an excellent shave. It is every bit as good as a wet shave due to the quality of the materials used and the design. As reviewers have already mentioned it can be seen as much more comfortable than many wet shaves. This of course is debatable and I believe that it may be a good idea to combine razors with electric shavers in any case. I’ve had a few brands of electric shavers over the years-mainly Remington for foil and Philishave for rotary. Both have been very good but can cause, I suppose mild skin irritation with frequent use. With wet shavers evidently one has to replace blades more frequently to achieve a really close shave. Of course, as some reviewers have mentioned, this can cost quite a lot-commonly about 10.00 for four blades. Even if one has very good shaving cream the cost soon builds up. Of course electric blades cost more but I imagine they can last much longer if properly cared for.
This Braun shaver really does offer almost the best of both worlds. It’s given me the best electric shave I’ve ever known combined with real comfort and convenience. Another very clever feature it has is the precision trimmer. Being between the two main foil cutting blades I felt it wouldn’t be much good compared to a pop-up one. In my experience this has proved not necessarily to be the case. I fell for my frequent habit of wondering where the pop-up trimmer was without realising I didn’t need one if I learned to properly use the one on this model. This saves about 10.00 or so on a more expensive model that provides pop-up. Then you have to deal with slightly more bulk in your hand and, presumably, shorter battery life according to use. You can, of course, pay about 28.00 for the basic model in the 3000 range with no trimmers at all but with similar blade and shave quality. Either way this particular model is an ingenious design and offers excellent value for money for such quality if one sees that other brands can cost 50.00 or more without providing such a great shave.

Seems OK – arrived very quickly – pity I can’t use the damn thing until I have been out and bought a plug adapter – comes with a 2 pin shaver socket plug – would be OK if I had a shaver socket!!!
I think an adapter is about a quid – why on earth can’t they include one with the razor- I will let you know how it performs when I have bought one and charged it up

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s cheaper than many other foil shavers, and lacks some of the features of more expensive shavers, such as remaining-battery gauge, trimmer, or travel case; however, I really like this simple shaver.

Its rubberised case is great to hold and won’t easily slip out of your hands. It charges in about an hour, and each charge lasts about 45 minutes, or about a week’s worth of shaves. The charging cord connects securely to the shaver and is nicely coiled, which means it stretches and contracts nicely, and can easily be used to power the shaver during shaving should you want to use the shaver when the battery is discharged.

The shave I get from it is very good — close, smooth and without irritation. To achieve prefect coverage takes a little more time compared to the best of my more expensive shavers; but overall I would rate this as one of the better shavers I have used, especially at this price.

I have a few electric shavers, some costing a lot more than this. This shaver shaves as well as many of the better ones, and is certainly one that I am very happy to use.
