Bought a 1440p / 144Hz Freesync monitor and realized I need better cables when monitor would constantly cut out at 144Hz. These cables did the trick, even though I use a KVM to switch between PC and work laptop. Can’t comment on durability yet but will come back to take a start away if they fail in the next months.

Does what it says it does, better picture and sound. Future proof upgrade.

I was sceptical as to the impact a HDMI cable could have to picture quality.
Well that disappeared when I fitted these! They make a noticeable difference on all of my TV’s when replacing all my old “standard” cables. I’m sure there are better one’s out there but the quality is great for me and the price is just right too.

I like these cables, even down to the ability to colour code your devices so you can remember which device was using which wire.

Had no issues at all with them.

I installed my TV on a stud wall (fake chimney breast) and wanted long cables to hide in the wall. These were a great choice as the colour coding made it very simple to plug the correct devices into the chosen TV ports.

I originally ordered 2 metre cables and then decided to return and re-order 3 metres so I had more to play with at the device end.

This review is for Cable Matters 3-Pack 48Gbps Ultra HD 8K HDMI Cable 2m with 8K 120Hz.

At the time of purchase, the 3 pack at 2 meters cost: 13.99.

Quality: For this price point these are great cables and well built.

Specifications: This item is advertised with the following specifications: 48Gbps Ultra HD 8K HDMI Cable 2m with 8K 120Hz. I have been able to test them to 4K 60Hz so far with no issues, I will shortly test at 4K 120Hz in game mode but doubt I will have any issues.

Connection: Definitely better than my last cables that dropped sound completely at times which was resolved by hard reset. This happened every morning with my active fireplace screen saver. For 2 days running, this issue has now been resolved.

Picture / sound quality: I have personally noticed a slight improvement in picture quality (65″ TV) including lip sync and a remarkable improvement to sound through 5.1 home cinema system connected via ARC.

    Would I recommend: Yes

    Rating: 5 stars.

Please note I am not an Amazon Vine reviewer therefore this review is based on item(s) I have purchased with my own hard earned cash.

Cheap and cheerful cables, working perfectly fine and the different colours makes them easy to identify,
if you have them tugged away behind a rack or cabinet. There’s pretty much no reason (with the odd exception) to spend much more money on these cables.
I do only have 4k (AV receiver 5.1, 4k player, 4k TV with eARC), so cannot comment on 8k.

What brilliant cables! There was a very noticeable improvement in the sound and picture quality when two of these were added to my chain of AV equipment. Cannot praise them enough. They are very highly recommend. What a bargain…….

I am using these cables as replacement for older cables for Panasonic 4K to connect devices including Playstation 5 , Xbox Series X, Apple TV 4K, Nintendo Switch to a new Samsung soundbar.

No handshake issues or issues with Dolby Atmos, DTS X, 4K, 1080P and HDR.

So far are very good quality for the money. Have tested them and support HDMI 2.1 as listed on 4K devices.

Great cable colour coding allows for easy identification of the device that cables are attached to, rather than the usual duplicate coloured cables.

The only thing I can not confirm if they are ‘Ultra High Speed HDMI Certified” as there is no certificate or barcode with the cables to prove they have been approved by HDMI Licensing Administrator.

Beautiful cables I just wish I’d bought longer ones as I decided to move the TV now and need longer.
These are really the best picture I’ve seen produced via hdmi and it had been a while since updating mine last (v1.1 and v1.2).

I have had one die on me after a month but I believe that was my fault, placed it directly on a magnet by accident, whoops might have to buy the bigger ones now.

Overall a great set of cables and an amazing price will be buying again (but longer).

Great cables and they work as intended with my Samsung Q60r tv linked up to my HDFURY Vertex2, HDFURY Arcana and my Sonos Arc and I have not experienced any visual loss or sound dropouts.

    These came recommended to me.
And I’ve got to agree and recommend them myself.
    Great build quality
Value for money for 3 cables
Using on a 4K UHD Nanocell TV with Apple TV.

Ok, so i spent far too much time looking into HDMI cables as i required an upgrade from my old 1.4’s after a purchase of a new TV. I don’t review things often but reading through the reviews of this cable there were some people who had issues with HDR and thought i would chime in with my experience as this would have been helpful to me when i was looking.

So for reference, i have a Panasonic HZ1000 OLED and a connected straight to it I have a PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and a Panasonic 820 4k blu-ray player.

All work with no dropouts, HDR from all devices work fine (TV displays the signal it’s getting) and this includes from the blu-ray player HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Really like they have different colours as makes them easy to identify which device is which in my jungle of wires.

I recently purchased a HD Fury box to enable my non Earc tv to connect to mySonos Arc soundbar, in order to be able to experience Dolby Atmos. Cutting a long story short, these cables were the answer to my prayers. If you want and/or need high speed cables that are up to the job, then I really can’t fault these for the price.
The cables were well packaged, a very reasonable length (2 mtr), and work perfectly. I’m now able to listen to films in Dolby Atmos sound and the picture quality on my OLED 4K tv looks incredible too. After buying one pack of 3 cables a couple of days ago, I’ve now just received my second pack. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersIve had a lot of 4K hdmi cables before. I’ve always considered hdmi cables to be digital and as such can’t possibly be any better quality in the picture as they just carry a digital signal of 0 and 1s.

I purchased these because my current cables were failing with Apple TV on 4:2:2. These cables pass the test and so far so good. I asked my wife if she could tell the difference in quality over the previous picture, and she thought the picture was better. I think the colours look better, but I’m not 100% sure or convinced, but may just be the better format of 4:2:2 that’s making it look better.

Sky does look a little sharper, but again as it’s digital I can’t see how. May just be a smoother transmission with these being higher speed?

Anyway, so far so good, I’ll update as I know more in durability or future tests in quality. I would like one extra cable so it would be nice if other colours were available rather than the separate black one.

3 pack is good value, although no cable is truly certified, so only time will tell if this is 100% compatible with HDMI 2.1, and I’ve only tested in 4K not 8.
