Having researched golf nets came to the conclusion that if I didnt want to injure someone or damage something with real golf balls you have to stand soooooo close that any feedback re ball flight well just isnt going to happen.
So practice balls may be a solution, Ive tried the plastic ones with holes and the cheap multi coloured foam ones and didnt realy see the point and they dont look like a golf ball more pets playthings.
I found these Callaway Balls and bought along side the Chamkey balls [which were half the price].
The Callaway ball comes in at 10g the Champkey at 5-6g The Callaway ball is denser are branded look the part ie a real golf ball and seem to fly better [weigh more] hower a tenner for 9 balls is very very expensive and even more so when Callaway sell 42 foam balls in a wire range bucket stateside for about 20$ !!!!! only difference I can tell is the balls are not printed Callaway, I have written to Callaway to enquire why this line is not brought to the uk and indeed are the balls of the same manufacture, I bet they are and this is just another example of ripping off Britain.
OK so if you need practice balls take the pain and go Callaway but please all these reviews about feel of the face etc etc is the stuff of fancy the thing weighs 10g cheaper versions far less,
Update Ok Callaway said bulk balls are an American offering, so I read that as rip off UK in full force,,,, that said needed more than 9 balls bought this 18 ball offering at a discount cos best of bunch here uk,,, but deffo rip off for sure, waiting for the Pro v1 practice balls at 3 each to arrive ffs, pays your money takes your choice but here in UK we get it in the tight one all the time.
Enjoy
Good practice balls. Love callaway and these foam balls don’t disappoint. Used them all through lockdown in the garden, been smashing them with the driver etc and there still just as good!
The foam balls are nice and quite light. Callaway balls have a better feeling and a better weight than the foam ones however I believe that they are quite expensive give the material. In any case I will continue using the foam (because of low cost) and the Callaway balls since the purpose is to practise in my garden and not to cause any damage.
Note: If you use callaway balls for chipping be aware that they fly more than the real balls. The other foam balls are not for chipping.
