Q: My iPhone asks for a WiFi password when I try to connect to the dongle. What is the password?
A: The wireless CarPlay adapter is paired by Bluetooth, not WiFi. No password is required to connect to Bluetooth. Make sure your iPhone’s WiFi is turned on and unoccupied when pairing. The WiFi password is only required for the firmware upgrade.
Q: There is a delay when changing songs with the wheel buttons.
A: Even with the Original Wireless CarPlay in the car, audio delays can still be present when watching videos. This is because video transcoding is more complex and takes longer to process than normal audio file transcoding. This is a normal issue with wireless CarPlay, not an adapter issue.
Q: Why does the adapter have audio delays or sound quality problems when playing music and calling (not including audio delays during video playback) ?
A: 1. Please check if your phone’s Bluetooth is connected to another device. If so, please ignore other Bluetooth devices that are automatically connected.
2. When using the dongle, please clear any programs running in the background of your phone.
Q: CarPlay does not start when paired or the car indicates that the device is not compatible/USB is not recognised…

Basically bought to make the connection of my Iphone with the car easier.

This is smaller than it looks in the pictures which is no bad thing as it tucks neatly away out of sight using the supplied adhesive.
I bought this as my car has a wireless charging pad on the dash but you still have to plug in to use android auto so what’s the point of that. With this the problem is solved.
Quick and stable.
The device just takes a couple of mins to setup. I use a Google pixel 6 pro with vauxhall grandland X 2018. After the first setup, the reconnection and android auto just pops up within 20 secs of entering the car.
There is a small led on the device that blinks when android auto is used and a constant led when the device is on and not connected.
There is UI is as good as wired connection.
Checked if the device will still be ON on locking the car. Once the car electrics shut down. This too does. Seems like a perfect way to enjoy wireless android auto!

This works well with my Audi A6, as long as you’ve already had Android Car Play activated. I was getting fed up or plugging the cable in daily and needed a wireless solution. This does the job. Plug it into the USB port underneath thr arm rest with the phone symbol and then switch to car play on the MMI. Pair the phone to the adapter and its sorted.
The only thing us sometimes the menu sticks when using certain apps but other than that it’s a decent wireless solution for a decent price.
P.S if you have apple car play then doesn’t won’t work for you, this specific one is for Android.
So glad I picked this up for my Polo GTI MK6 which comes with wired Android Auto only. Plugged this in to the available USB port as shown in the photo and connected my phone to bluetooth without issue. This reconnects each time I get in the car and start the engine without any issues. Has worked flawlessly for me – very impressed and definitely worth the purchase.

I have been pleased with this android auto wireless adaptor so far. The item came packaged well and feels built to last. This is further emphasized by the 6-month warranty provided with the product.
I have a 2018 Seat leon that has apple carplay and android auto installed on it. Our other vehicle has wireless android auto and we enjoy the conveniences it brings. Therefore, I decided to give this adaptor a go to see if we could get the same experience in both cars.
Connectivity was a lot more straightforward than I expected. You just plug it into your car, connect via Bluetooth and say yes to activating android auto and that’s it. So far it has been working seamlessly, but I am keeping an eye out for any dropouts, however none so far.
You also get a type c adaptor included which is useful for any vehicles with type c fitted. Whilst using this adaptor is great, you do lose usage of a USB port and sadly in the Seat, I only have 2.
Overall, very impressed with how easily and seamlessly this has been working so far.

Convert older usb Carplay to never wireless one!!! Plug and play setup from car side – on phone just search and connect to device. Just make sure running latest ios for best results. Had to update my wifes phone to get it working. So much better experience in car now!!!
I recently bought this for my new car for update my CarPlay experience it is very hard to play with wires and stuff so wireless is best option I have kids they usually travel with me so it becomes much easier it was so easy to install took only five minutes I am so much impressed with this new technology this is very stable very easy to use for music and sat nav everything is in my hands easy to change all settings in one go no problem with signals at all very easy with iPhones my 8 years old son can do all the settlings this is that easy

I ordered this as my cable easily disconnected whilst driving causing my CarPlay to stop randomly. Now with the wireless dongle CarPlay runs great.
Looks nice and discrete in the car, comes with a usb-b to usb-c adapter and a 3m sticker if you want to secure the device.
Instantly connected, smart-dongle on your device and then just respond to the prompts on screen as you would for any new device/car.
Instructions come with the device and the supplier emailed to see if I had any problems which was nic.
I bought this for my partner, who used a cable attachment to use the Android auto. He has loved it from the first day and uses it all the time. It is also great for small journeys where you are in and out of the car and saves having to get your phone out and plug it in. Would be ideal for delivery drivers who are in and out of cars and need directions quickly.
Connected first time without an issue, and has had no issues with connection interruptions, it also meant that he was not having his phone charging all the time damaging the battery.
The only thing that would make it better would be a longer cable option, to possibly hide the box and also a USB socket to connect the phone if need to charge rather than disconnecting etc.
Would definitely buy again and will tell others about the device.
So, I bought this because I did not like having my phone left in my cup holder whilst plugged to my car for Carplay. Setup was easy and only had to do it once. Now, I can have my phone tucked away and have access to my cup holder.

I actually got this for my wife, as I have an Android phone. She has used Car Play, but when your phone is in your pocket and you suddenly decide you want to use Maps or something, it means pulling over which is a pain.
This is simplicity itself. Simply pair it via Bluetooth and then you are automatically connected as soon as you start the car. All your favourite apps will then appear on your car’s big screen.
The USB port is in the ‘stowawy’ area in the car, but there is no problem with the signal, it connects instantly.
It really is easy peasy, and I really recommend it.

This CarPlay Wireless Adapter is very easy to set up and works fine.
I just followed the instructions, plugging it into the car and connecting to it via Bluetooth on my phone. Within a few seconds the screen in the car changed and my phone asked to pair, and that was it. CarPlay was on my car screen.
Of course, your car needs to have wired CarPlay capability for this to work, it won’t convert a non-CarPlay system.
Each time I switch on the car it takes about 10 seconds and the CarPlay screen appears.
Very happy with this wireless CarPlay adapter for my new BMW. My car is 2020 model and this was connected to it very easily. It was super simple to set up. I connected it in the arm rest adapter that my car has, to the USB port, searched for Wifi and paired it simply.
It means I can use Spotify easily and can use Alexa and Siri to help me on my way 🙂
I was impressed that it stays paired after first pairing and pairs to my husbands phone as well.
Its expensive but so worth it! Would not be without.
Such an easy device to install works perfectly every time I get in the car collect straight CarPlay very easy. I use some double bike tape to stick it up under the dash out of the way
I am very happy with this product I can’t speak for everyone but I personally found it annoying having to plug the phone in and see cable hanging eveywhere within my site. So when I see this product I had to try it the price is a bit much but I would argue put that feeling aside and buy it as its such a great convenience small little box I’ve plugged into my car usb port I’ve even used a little off cut of gorilla mounting tape and tucked it up out the way so you can’t see it. Get in the car now start it and within a few seconds away you go. 9/10! 1 point down due to the price.
Annoyingly the manual doesn’t tell you what the password is! But fortunately I stumbled across it when searching for a fix, the password is 88888888.
If your car doesn’t have Wifi, then try connecting your phone to the box using the above password, then connect the box to your car via bluetooth.
After a frustrating few days trying to get it to work, for me it’s now a 5* product.
UPDATE: I’ve noticed that having a smart watch connected to your phone’s Bluetooth also seems to interfere with the connection to Android Auto. I don’t know if there is a fix for this yet but I can confirm that for me at least, no smart watch = absolutely perfect connection to Android Auto with this device.

The first time I plugged it into my car it connected to my car perfectly with no lagging or issues. Every time I tried using it afterwards it would connect fine but wouldn’t let me play any music, I solved the problem by turning the car bluetooth off..seemed like this device and my car were fighting eachother over the phone connection
It has worked well ever since I turned the bluetooth off in the car.
The only reason I probably will stick to using a wired connection instead of this is when I use my indicators or reverse gear the cameras surrounding my car come on when I reach a certain speed they turn off and with a wired carplay connection it will automatically go back onto the carplay screen I was on e.g apple music or maps whereas with a wireless connection using this device it doesn’t do that and will go back to my standard car display something that bugs me as I frequently switch between music/maps in carplay whilst driving. If it did go back to the carplay screen I’d happily continue using this.
Overall it does work well and does give the connection it says it does.
This product is an absolute necessity. Instead of plugging in the device via a cable, solving the tangles beforehand and making sure it’s secure and not gonna fall anywhere, you can now just wirelessly connect which is much simpler! Does it’s job, and it’s absolutely brilliant!
If you already have CarPlay in your car, but are a little bit fed up of having to plug your phone in each and every time you get in the car just to have your music then this is the device for you.
It’s a set it and leave it device, meaning that once you have plugged it in and connected it, you don’t have to worry about it anymore and it will connect every time you start the ignition.
There doesn’t seem to be any lag at all, it just works the same as if it was plugged in so it’s seamless.
This device works as it should. Finally, I don’t need to plug in and unplug my phone every time I use the car.
Very easy to connect, literally it takes less than 30 seconds and works without any issues. Once the device is paired with your phone you will see a solid white light. Please note this will not work with cars that haven’t got the Apple car play functionality activated.
One small problem I’ve noticed is that the connection sometimes is breaking up and you lose the audio briefly.
I’ve used another brand of wireless CarPlay dongle in the past, and this one is by far the easiest of the two to get going. MUCH easier. I plugged it in to my Skoda Fabia carplay socket, paired it up using Bluetooth, and the Infotainment system screen suddenly sprang to life. Excellent.
I’ve driven about with it and navigated my way around with no issues. Except…
Number one, the dongle itself. It should come with a detachable lead, rather than the very short fixed lead that it does have. It just hangs in mid air, and really I want to tuck it out of the way.
Secondly, every once in a while the audio will cut out briefly. Only a fraction of a second but it’s off-putting and also you might miss part of an instruction. The issue seems to be universal, because my other dongle did exactly the same thing and the makers told me that it was to do with the way that the iPhone outputted audio. So you could say that it’s Apple’s fault, or you could say that the dongle people should come up with a solution seeing as they’re selling an iPhone only product.
Other than that, this is brilliant and a lot cheaper than a certain other CarPlay box that’s on the market.
Been using this in my car for the last few days it’s great. Easy to set up. I’ve an iPhone 12 and it connects instantly. No wires which is great I hate wires. I found there’s no skipping or jumping it’s a good solid connection. Very happy with my purchase.
As anyone will know, who is reading this review, this is a piece of software that allows your iPhone to interface with your car’s built-in dashboard screen, entertainment system. It doesn’t work with all makes of cars, so we need to check the list before purchasing.
The kit consists of the dongle and a small adapter, which you might, or might not need, depending on the make and model of your car. Like other devices we add to our phone, a short, and easy pairing is required, done in seconds, no skill required.
Once connected, I place my phone in it’s cradle, and can make calls, receive calls etc. using my dashboard screen, and car speakers; and more importantly, without having to actually handling my phone. All the apps from my phone are also now available; so I have basically transferred all my data over to the in car computer dashboard.
The most important issues are obviously reliability, connection, and clear sound; after using for the last week or so I can confirm that this mid range priced software kit works very well, no problems experienced. I just need to plug in, and I’m automatically connected every time I use the car. I see that there is an icon on screen that when pressed will let me revert back to the car’s computer settings, if required.
I am sure over time I will find lots of additional uses for this extra technology; but basically purchased for safer use of incoming, and outgoing calls whilst driving.
Good piece of kit, work well; competitively priced, happy with purchase.
