Really good watch apart from colour it’s more grey than the pictures but everything else good g shock
The watch is very good but without instructions exceedingly difficult to set up. On YouTube there are a few persons whom describe how to set up G-SHOCK watches. See videos, you can reset many things (light shine period)
I love it. Sturdy and beautiful. I’m always been a great fun of G-Shock models. With this one I’m completely sutisfied and not worried of ruining it while climbing. Looks solid!
Ordered a G Shock but for 60 you are at the lower end of the products. Solid watch nice looking and no frills. If you want anything extra you have to pay accordingly but its solid and should last.
I wanted a simple step counter that did not need regular charging. This watch does the job nicely, syncing to my phone using a specific app. I also tells the time! The only annoying thing is the lack of numbers or markings on the watch face, so it can be tricky to see the time at a glance.
Digital display shows date and seconds, and there’s a function to move the hands out the way if they obscure it. Timekeeping is reliable, and syncs to time on your phone, so will reset for different time zones. App seems stable and has the watch manual handily embedded in it.
All round good watch, the negative display can be hard to read and some of the settings that you can change in app via Bluetooth do not work.
Other than that the watch is strong, reliable and comfortable for big or small wrists, have had no issues with waterproofing or shock absorbance
A good affordable g shock
Attractive watch. Comfortable to wear. Easily read. Bluetooth a bit gimmicky. Might be useful if you’re interested in counting steps. Caused a large battery drain on my phone though so disconnected it. Main use for me is setting the time, date etc.
I bought this because I wanted the specific colour (neon)
Very happy with it -SADLY I lost all the instructions -and never got round to programming all the functions.
BUT it does tell the time-with hands !!—so even this old fool ( me ) can read it
Bob (old and stupid- Dr. Bob )
Great time piece. Easy to set up and use. Just download the G-Shock app and do a search on YouTube on how to use. Easy Bluetooth connection with a press and hold of one button and when connected it automatically checks and alters time. Brilliant.
I was worried it would be too big as I’m not much of fan of the ‘actual’ wearing of large watches, they look great but always bug me. But this one is just the right size.
Clean looking, functional and great value for money. Once synced with a phone, the guide functions become so much easier to understand and allow you to really make the most of the watch.
I needed a watch for work, smart watches don’t really have longevity and my dress watches are occasional so needed something for everyday. This watch looks awesome, wears great, easy to use and read, the black dial makes it look far more expensive, Bluetooth is incredibly easy to use, step tracker is great, just a great watch. The only possible downside if you’ve got hairy wrists it can nip, just make sure it’s not on a loose fitting or optionally get a different strap, hope this helps
I had my eye on this watch for a while. Its great keeps time very well pretty easy to use syncs to my phone to keep acurate time and count my daily steps. Its pretty easy to set alarms on through my phone and then sync it to the watch.
The only negative thing I would say is that is loves dirty but I do wear my every day to work. I’ve found it impossible to keep completely clean and retain its colour but it does take alot of punishment and it just keeps on ticking.
FANTASTIC. Finally I got this G shock Casio as I wanted since Sunday. Unfortunately my first order of this watch vanished , but thanks to Amazon staff I placed a new order. I would never know where the first order of G shock went to …
Looks good, it’s great being able to send via Bluetooth the steps recorded to your phone And is easy to do. G shock App on iPhone is very easy to understand. All in all a great cost efficient that looks good (I like the typical G shock retro styling) alternative to a smart watch if you don’t need all the functionality of a smart watch
It might just be my eyes, but the display is not as clear as it appears online. With the light illuminated though it is crystal clear.
I dare say it will need getting accustomed to as my previous watch was black on white not white on black.
I love this watch. But it has two problems.
1. You can’t change the date format. All the funtions and features and I can’t change the date from mm/dd to dd/mm?! That alone cost it a star.
2. The band likes to pull out your arm hairs.
Overall I’m very happy with it. It’s just baffling that such a basic feature is missing.
Absolutely love this watch. Been interested in G-shock watches for years but never bought one……untill now! It is a very nice light weight watch not to bulky, the colours are really nice together, dark grey and a nice shade of lime green it’s not too in your face. The App for the watch is good too, I’m now looking to buy a white G-shock for nice occasions I’m glad I’ve jumped ship from Casio edifice to G-shock I’m not disappointed as I’m looking at my next 3 watches. Good value for money too. I’d whole heartily recommend this nice looking watch to anyone.
I run a filming business so need something that will take an occasional hit, that has a few functions (very useful on set where sometimes our phones are turned off) this is perfect. It’s not a fancy, Swiss time piece but then again I bought a couple of those and they’re next to useless because they don’t have all the little things I need. It’s also a bit smaller than other G-shocks so a bit more discreet which I like.
I know it sounds a bit mad waxing lyrical over such a small purchase but having those little functions is really useful for what I do and the free app makes it easy to program rather than fiddling about. It’s a small thing but really helps in what I do!
I just wanted a simple, stylish (to me any rate!) step tracker without the bells and whistles one finds on Fitbits et al. As a fan of G Shock watches, this appeared to fit the bill perfectly.
Don’t get me wrong – as a G Shock, it’s great. Smaller and with a little less presence than larger Shockers, the negative display is fine in normal light, and the backlight is strong in darker conditions.
However, the tracker (which resets at midnight, or can be manually set to zero), seems veeeeery generous. I racked up over 13000 steps during a day at home, with a quick walk outside (during the lockdown)! Not sure that was accurate. Also, counter to every other G Shock I’ve owned, the resin strap is quite uncomfortable sometimes, pinching the skin on the underside of my wrist regardless of how tight or loose I wear it.
All that said, it’s a nice looking piece, works well with a simple app and does the job I want it to do, albeit a little over-generously perhaps.
Ok I bought the watch for the cool black look but it does make it a bit difficult to read if moyltvusing the light especially the Bluetooth signal etc.
Works well, not sure which is more correct step wise, this and my Samsung watch were 1000 steps out at the end of the day.
Can’t beat a G-Shock for hardiness, still have one lasted me on duty since 2007.
I don’t like the strap on this, too narrow, I have an animal strap on my other one which is great but it seems these are like trying to find a unicorn now. Searched Amazon for web strap to fit, difficult and bit pricey but they are out there.
My son, this way is able to still receive important messages from us and notifications for urgent calls that we might have to make. This has come handy a couple of times now.
Works with both Apple and Android. Really nice looking too.
Size and fit, not a big watch by G-Shock standards and it’s reasonably slim comfortable and light. For the price with the discount code I don’t think it’s a bad buy with the added bonus of super accurate time also a step counter being one of its two main features.
Disclaimer, “I paid for this myself”, either during a lightning deal or full price
I had been wanting the black and red version but I didn’t want one with a dark face. I wasn’t sure about the colours of this however was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and it looked charcoal and lime green.
The mobile app works really well and you can set up the watch from there opposed to having to look through the manual and work out combination of button presses.
Step counter does possibly overestimate but does give you encouragement to set your target higher.
Really pleased with it, definitely recommend.
I returned this. It’s not easy to read, in bright light is fine but in darker rooms it’s quite hard. Comfort and functionality nis excellent and the auto light is good, but batter will probably last a year with that always on.
Nice looking watch, but was smaller than I thought it was going to be for a G Shock. The strap in particular is quite thin and narrow. Sure it will be as tough as normal but would be 5 stars if it was a bit more substantial.
Overall I am very pleased with this G Shock and would recommend it especially at the price I paid.
How long it can take the type of use/abuse I give it only time will tell.
I am going to finish with the AMAZING price I got this for on Amazon, so all round I am really happy with this 🙂 🙂 🙂
The time is easy enough to read. The digital display can be tricky for two reasons – one because it’s in negative and not that easy to read. I was aware before purchasing but if digital is your main need then probably not for you. Second problem can be the hands obscuring the digital display. There is a function to move the hands but it’s not intuitive or simple so I tend not to, instead just tilting my wrist more to try and read it. Not a major annoyance but worth flagging up. Otherwise all functions are useful. Step counter seems to work ok although registers more fake steps than other devices so I wouldn’t use it if your step count is super important – it’s a nice to have for me.
All in all an inexpensive, good looking and robust watch that I really like. Will add more G-Shocks to the collection over time!
My one major complaint – and it’s not the watch, is the terrible Casio app that you have to use if you want the full range of functions such as step count monitoring and elevation tracking. It is truly awful – notifications that you can’t remove from your home screen without killing the app manually, battery sapping for very little reward and very poor connectivity and syncing. Casio aren’t the first and won’t be the last to underestimate how frustrating poor apps can be alongside their products. For me, the step counter and Bluetooth are nice to have – I bought the watch for its aesthetics and build quality. However if I’d bought it for the connectivity I’d be sorely disappointed and would probably have returned it.
It’s about time companies invested properly in their app development otherwise it devalues what would be an excellent product.
G-Shock Connected is currently rated 2.9 on Google Play Store which gives an indication of other’s frustrations.
