It’s small but no matter as it has loop recording it’s no problem, with SD card just transfer as on computer it’s not a concern. Front and back camera works for me ,just to add it’s possible to set camera to record a bump when not in the car , it will record for minute or two then shut down .
Saw this and read descriptions about it, sounded like the perfect answer to what I was looking for. Turned out it was. Everything in the box required to fit it, my son and I routed the cable where required and it works well. A tip to anyone getting this item when you route the cables, put the rear one down the passenger side and the front on the driver side, as this is how the connections are on the top of the camera and it will keep the cables a bit tidier. Very pleased in general with this item.
I had this professionally fitted and the auto electrician remarked that the picture quality is very good, especially for such a discrete dashcam. I was so delighted I bought my daughter one.
Second purchase of this dash cam as the first one was really good and had no problems at all. However the second dash cam purchased has an issue with screen less than 2 months of using it. I have attached a picture of the problem and messaged the seller. Hopefully they will send out a new dash cam. *****Update, they sent me a new one when contacted the seller. 30june23*****
For a cheaper insurance price, I bought this dash camera and it feels good after using it.
The instruction is easy to understand and It was super easy to install and hide the wires.
It can automatically start and turn off when the engines are switched on and off, very clever!
It’s definitely worth the price!
Been looking for a while now for quality dash cams that are reliable and going by the reviews I decided to choose this dash cam and I’m absolutely delighted I did because the picture quality is fantastic, just what I need to keep myself right on the road, I would definitely recommend this product!
For driving safety, I bought this driving recorder and it feels good after using it. It features front and rear HD 1080p cameras, plus night vision, motion detection, and looping. The wide angle of the camera is also relatively wide, and the rear camera is still waterproof. Overall it is good and worth recommending.
I purchased this camera based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. It was super easy to hookup and hide the wires. The dash cam works so great that I was able to capture something on video. Solid little camera, no problem with using it so far.
The picture taken by the driving recorder is so clear, recording 24 hours a day, as well as the rear parking function, the small car occupies a small area, and the price is not high, which is acceptable to everyone.
Good product. Safe mind after using it as it is unsafe in my surroundings, and someone drive wildly- this is the reason why I bought it. I choose this one because of the good price and reviews. It does not disappoint me. Working as described and give me peace of mind.
One reminder, buy the memory card in advance; so you do not need to wait the card after already having the camera.
I was involved in an accident a month ago so I decided to buy a dash cam to be on the safe side. Delivery was incredibly quick and it was very easy to set it up in my car. Definitely does what it says.
This product seems to do the job I absolutely love the fact that the wires are completely tuckable as I was worried about wires being everywhere. It was so easy to install with step by step videos on YouTube, love the little sounds the bottoms make and it automatically records once’s the cars switched on so really good and switches off automatically when car switched off. Only thing I will say is the quality isn’t the best however you can very clearly see the situation if being involved in an accident. It’s definitely worth the price! Just remember to purchase a memory card with it 🙂
The camera is good value for money. It was easy to install. For my Vauxhall Corsa I had to put the rear camera wire through the number plate light, which was not a problem. Also easy to connect second wire to the reversing light. I am quite happy with the quality of the camera. There are two reason why I did not give five stars. I find the user menu and buttons not very intuitive. There should also have been a warning not to connect the camera to a normal mobile phone power adaptor to charge, which fried my first camera. While it has an internal battery it’s not supposed to be charged but only connected to the car plug (cigarette lighter) which has the correct voltage and amps.
I’ve been using it for just over a year now and I’m still very happy with it. The power cord did stop working about a month ago, but I contacted the sellers and they were incredibly responsive and willing to help. I received a brand new power cord within a couple of weeks – tracked & free of charge. Amazing customer service; I would recommend this product for this experience alone.
As far as the camera itself goes, I’d say it’s good value for money. It was pretty easy to set up; I have it so the rear camera is inside my car taped to the top of the rear windscreen (I couldn’t connect it to my brake lights like this, so I can’t use the parking function…but I don’t really care about that since I can use the rear camera to look behind me anyway). The mount for the camera has only fallen from my front windscreen once in my entire time using it, plus I don’t find it to block my vision while driving. Additionally, the wires are plenty long enough to allow you to run them along the sides of your car and have them not be stretched out or in the way (for reference, I have a Peugeot 206 and I still had several arm lengths of wire left after setting up the rear camera).
The menu is fairly simple to navigate. The video and audio quality isn’t particularly great, but it does the job just fine. I do find that, at night, bright headlights close behind me completely whites out the image, but I’ll take that over having the camera outside the car as intended. The image is fine if cars are the correct distance away from you and the glass is clean. I have the recording set to loop every 2 minutes and I found that, with a 32GB micro SD card (which doesn’t come with the camera), I can store roughly and hour and a half’s worth of clips at once. I now have a hilarious/scarily large collection of clips showing the bad drivers I’ve come across while recording that I can laugh/cringe at. Having a dash cam brought my car insurance down a little as well. Would 100% recommend.
This dash camera is a nice size, easy to fit & the picture quality is reasonable for its cost. Night vision isn’t so great, but can imagine for the size of the camera & compare to other dash cams of its price bracket, it’s one of the better for quality. Having said that the daytime picture quality is good & can’t be faulted. Overall I’m genuinely pleased with the dash cam, for the price I payed for it & functions fine for its general purpose of use, so would recommend to anyone that’s looking for an affordable dash cam.
The dash cam is good quality for the money but when in installing it the rear cam didn’t want to connect to the front for the dual screen so I rest the dash cam to get it working then I didn’t work so I’m using it as a front dash cam instead of rear and front the picture quality is excellent better than my other dash cam 720p it’s a massive upgrade 1080p I’m very happy with it I would buy agai
my wife bought me this for xmas,we had bought 2 of these last xmas for our daughters cars, they both said that the camera was easy to use and given they have had them for a year now without a problem i decided i wanted the same model and was’nt disappointed, the small instruction booklet was easy to use to set the cameras up in my car, took me about 20 mins as i had to fasten the rear camera and conceal the wiring which was the most difficult task if there was to be one, took my car out for a run to test the cameras and was very impressed with the picture quality and setup
The only issue I have is it fills a 64gb SD card in a couple of days as it’s recording front and back cameras. Meaning we keep having to delete the files every few days. Very annoying. I have reduced the picture quality but will need to reduce it again. Also need to check in the menu if we can set it so it records over the previous files (unless we especially save them)
** UPDATE ** This camera only works with a 32gb or 16gb card. It can’t handle a 64gb card.
That’s the reason why it wasn’t loop recording and we kept having “card full” message and having to format the card every few days.
Since we put in a 32gb class 10 card it’s worked flawlessly.
Picture quality is brilliant. And Night time quality is good.
Even on Low sensitivity the camera records when the door is opened or closed – not a great idea, but as long as it keeps a record when hit I can live with that!
I have a Google Chromebook, and couldn’t initially view the files (they are saved as .AVI), so those users that use Chromebooks you’ll need to download an App to view these files.
Good quality video and rear camera good too. Installed on ford s max so all cables were long enough. Hardwired it in though, with hardwire kit sold separately from elsewhere. My car turns off all electrics after 20 mins from fuse, but to be sure it doesn’t drain your battery, be sure to go to menu and auto shut off and set a time as 1 or 3 minutes. This way it will definitely turn off even if you forget. Remember to test it does!! As default on my car, when ignition is off, the camera will stay on. Be warned.
The whole exercise took me about three hours, but then I was really trying to make a neat job of it, i.e. hiding all the cabling underneath the trim.
Everything works just fine, picture quality is good.
The control menu takes 10 minutes to get your head around and set up the camera the way you want it, but you don’t need an engineering degree for that either.
I am pleased with the end result relative to the price paid and the time invested. Thinking about buying a second one for our other car.
Updated:
Since installing the rear camera the DAB radio is no longer working, so I’ve had to buy snap on ferrite cores to attach to the wire to prevent interference and allow the radio to work properly.
Also, the rear camera also prevents the Key fob from operation correctly, and makes the car flash a warning saying the fob is not present, as well as preventing the fob from unlocking or locking the car from anything further than 5ft away!
Agreed this is a budget camera so I’ve taken that into account, but having to buy an extension cable, ferrite cores just to get it to work 75% correctly means the overall rating is lowered. Taking all this into account you may as well buy an expensive big brand camera in the first place.
Replacing an older unit – was very simple.
Installation: The suction clamp works very well – there is also an adhesive one included
Picture: If you don’t connect the rear camera the forward picture is full screen. If you do, then the rear takes up the upper right quarter.
Recording: It has 2 directories – one for the forward camera and another for the rear camera. You can elect to record 1,2,3 minutes (from memory) but the default seems fine. PARKING – it seems to write the latest file though it would have lost power when I switched the engine off
Looping: There is some text in the manual about formatting the card every month. My old one does a loop record and I thought this was a step back. It does have loop record on by default.
Display change: You need to SWITCH OFF record mode (top right switch). THEN you press the MENU switch on the left, then you JUST PRESS UP OR DOWN to change the screen mode. SHAME is that it seems to always revert but it is an option
Parking camera – if you connect the red wire to the reversing lights then it will engage the reversing camera full display. Not great for hatch backs.
Getting power to the unit. A straightened oat hanger makes this a lot easier. If you don’t have the right tools then I guess I would use a bamboo cane, but don’t push too hard 🙂
You need to charge it else it keeps losing the date and time. Not sure how long that should be for as only been out a couple of times in quick succession. You can get to the SETUP menu by once on top right to SWITCH OFF recording, then PRESS THE MENU button twice. Careful you don’t catch buttons on the right!! 🙂
Overall I hope this lasts – it took a lot of messing to get the instructions sorted and so I hope this helps.
I will add some pictures to my review once I take them but so far so good.
(Having a little trouble with a “Format SD card” Notification that keeps coming up at the moment. Tried a couple different cards no success as of yet)
It was my friends birthday and with him being a bit of a geek I thought he would like it. He was delighted and set to work fitting it as soon as he opened it. He is thrilled and cant wait to test it out. Knowing him, he will test every aspect of it and know it like the back of his hand in a short period of time. Once that is done I’ll give you his verdict.
It’s sort of hard to write a review without the “free gift” of an SSD card that I need to use the dash cam to its full capacity.
However, what I will say is that from opening the box, the product was packaged properly and securely. It appears whole and I damaged.
The quality of the cameras appears high end and has a reassuring weight and feel. At the price listed it feels initially to be a great value product. I will update this in a couple of months to show whether it can last.
One thing that I will say is that I thought this dashcam was meant to have night vision, but can’t honestly say that I have found that setting yet to turn on….
Although I have been able to install it myself, I’ll still need to get someone who can wire it properly to do it for me.
