I bought this exact brand and model about last year. Somehow it just stopped. So I had a Boss crossover. While it was ok, it’s not as great as the Clarion. This crossover is in a class by itself none come close. It has my system bumping.
What I needed only downside the bass control knob dosent work. And in order to get one that works would have to uninstall it to get a new one which is pointless I could have just sent the bass knob back but they want it all back
I purchased this MCD360 to adjust the signals going to a five channel Memphis amp, and it does a great job. There’s no unwanted noises just a clean filtered signal going to the amp. The adjustments on the crossover are much better than what’s on the amp so for mids and highs I set the amp on full without a filter and use the MCD360. For the sub channel I use the crossover for the low pass filter however the MCD360 does not have a sub sonic filter so I use the amps built in crossover to keep out the very low frequencies. This crossover works great and I would definitely recommend it unless you really need a sub sonic filter.
This eq makes it super easy to tune the sound of your car very quickly. It sounds great and performs amazing.
It consumes very little power so you can just jump some cables form your amplifier to power it making it super easy to install.
I was on the fence about getting this crossover, but decided to get it after determining where I was going to install the amp. Although amps have built-in crossovers, I needed something easily accessible and easy to adjust. This thing is perfect. Not much to add about that. I will say that considering everything comes with bass knobs nowadays (my system now has three in total: amp, crossover, AP4-CH41 module), the one they provide is perfect. It’s actually metal as opposed to the cheap arse plastic everything else comes with. I guess it’s the little things that make me happy now! Lol! Anyways, I highly recommend
If You’re Reading Reviews, Don’t be Deterred by The Negative Ones…
Here’s how To Avoid the Whine Noise That’s Being talked about in the (few) negative reviews:
BEFORE you install The Crossover, be SURE that you DO NOT Run ANY of your RCA Cables along side your Power wire, run the power wire on The complete opposite sides of the vehicle…
Then make sure your ground point is clean and free of paint…
Once installed it’s Amazing, no Matter what type of music you listen to…
I Make Beats (InstrumentalHQ.com) so I like my music (especially my bass) to be tight and punchy, This Gives you that Control…
I do wish they’re was a way to boost 2 frequencies in the sub range at the same time…
All & All it’s a Great Addition to any audio system…
Well worth the money!
