I needed a small cooler to keep perhaps a few coke sized cans in. This is perfect. I would say you can get 6-8 cans in there. With some ice it’ll keep those cans cold for a couple of days. Mines lasted a whole weekend. Top notch

I’ve already got a Coleman 45 cool chest, which is great for small events, but a little too big for just myself for a day trip out. The 4ltr (5 Qt) cool box is ideal for this, however I wished I’d gone for the slightly larger 9Qt box, so I can stand a milk carton or drinks bottle, as the 4 ltr is a little dumpy.

An excellent personal cooler big enough for your lunch at work or a couple of cans at the beach! Put a couple of freezable blocks in and it’ll keep cool all day! I use mine all the time now whilst travelling in the car or out and about!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent personal coole

I bought this little guy for road trips and it did not disappoint. It is small therefore easy to store. Practical to keep ice in it.(no room for anything else) I’d recommend to place a freezer block on the bottom and the ice won’t melt for 12h at least. Very pleased and it is great quality for money. Much recommended!

The cooler was the exact size I needed just to keep my food warm and it does the job.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLove this cooler, perfect for picnics, not too big and fits a few cans of your favourite drink. Best Summer purchase ever. Highly recommended, good quality, sturdy and light enough, also keeps things cold longer than I expected. I left some ice overnight and I was surprised when I still found many ice cubes next morning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for picnics

I bought this little cooler to function as a lunch box. I use a special cool pack(curved one available on Amazon too) that allows me to keep 6 standard soft drink cans cool (or one can and a sandwich and snacks). It keeps contents cool and un-squashed all day.

    Coleman Personal Cooler
Compact size – ideal for carrying a packed lunch or cold drinks in the car – especially in this summer heat.

Absolutely perfect for my needs, I use mine in my broadcast van to keep a sandwich etc cool, be aware this is small, perfect for one person but even then it will only hold a small amount. Sturdy and well made.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love this little dude! It’s the perfect size for a wrapped pork butt or brisket. It’s like it was made specifically for this. The inside is one piece so is super simple to clean too. What more do you want?!? 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect little cooler for resting BBQ

Slightly more space for ice to keep drinks cold. Not the flip top with can recess like the previous version but the seal on the lid is much better and snug when closed compared to the flip top. Still use both but this one is the go to one for the beach or longer car journeys. Slightly rounder design. Nice.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersThis is simply perfect.

Quality design, easy flip lid as clearly advertised (ignore the one star review he didn’t read the spec nor understand the description,)

Easy to open, and lid remains closed when carrying
Does not slide on car carpet floor, bonus when travelling
    Keeps genuinely cold for hours
Works with warm food as well
Easily get 6 standard cans and a cooler pack as well
    Lightweight
    Easily cleaned

I use this daily, I also own 15 plus other brand name coolers and this is one of. The best

    Can’t fault it In anyway

Edit 2 years down the line, this keeps on going no issues, it just works ! If I’m doubt buy it.
Some mention flip lid, my version on flips up I.e. hinged and fixed.

Edit again, it’s simply great any stains or marks due to cans etc wipe off with ease. It still looks like new.

    If in doubt buy It.

A few more years ! Still working fine !

Another edit it’s simply amazing !!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this product to make clear ice and also to serve said clear ice cubes. For this purpose the product is pretty good but if you are doing that (I realise it’s pretty niche) the bottom tends to crack and spill as you are getting it out and you have to bend the lid back quite far to remove the block a fully removable lid would be better but this is perfectly serviceable and of adequate size.

Since storing of ice is closer to what most people would use it for I’d say the product slightly underperforms its stated 24 hour claim especially if you open it a few times. Always add your items pre chilled with ice in too to keep cool. This would easily hold a six pack of 330ml beer cans or a 1 pint of milk for example if this is of use to you.

Very good slightly underporms its claims but not enough to harm the product too much for the vast majority of uses as most things in there will probably need to be kept around 2-6 C rather than sub 0 anyway.

I liked this product but have found “to open” a little tricky, it is rather fiddly and its easier to open if picked up,but as it is used for milk delivery this is not ideal.

purchased this for work. I use one medium ice block and 3 mini one’s and the box is still nice and cold a good 10 hours later. Sturdy material and decent handle. Much better than a standard tupperware lunchbox

My son wanted this for a school lunch box as he used to have one of these in the past and loved it. He sat on it, stood on it so yes it’s very durable! The lid flips over so it can be used as a cup holder. A regular 500ml bottle of water will not stand upright in it so I buy the 330ml water bottles. In the winter I put in warm food in a thermos and it does keep warm till lunch time. In the summer this is perfect as a cooler box for packed lunches 🙂

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersSimple no-nonsence product that delivers what it promises with few things to break. Keeps things effectively cold for a long time. It is small – it will hold 6x330ml cans and cooling elements (or equivalent) as advertised. It is made in USA which was a refreshing surprise. Only thing I would wish for, would be a possibility to lock the lid, and I don’t really understand the need to make the lid reversible – the can holding indents could as well have been permanently placed on the top – but it does not take away from a 5 star rating.
BTW: It stays comfortably within the measurements that some cruise ships have set as max for cooling boxes.

Just tested. The food stayed very cool for 24 hours (with blue ice packs) in the car boot and outside (10-15 Celsius temperatures), hotel (22 degrees). We then bought some ice in the shop (as didn’t have access to the freezer) and the food stayed cool for another 24 hours.

I wouldn’t use it in the summer for longer than 24 hours if you don’t have access to fresh ice. To make food safely last 48 hours (baby food, for instance) you need to freeze it in advance and put quite a lot of ice packs with it. I also kept the cooler itself in the fridge overnight before the trip. Maybe put it in a cool bag as well (advice for the especially neurotic parents :))

We bought 2 coolers, one was used within the first 24 hours (cooled food and ice packs), and the other one was full of frozen food and ice packs. We didn’t open the second one until the next day and it was very very cool. It does lose coolness if you open it even a couple of times.

Overall, performance as expected, but I wish there was a latch on the lid to prevent accidental opening, and, maybe, a rubber seal under the lid to improve performance. For the money, it’s OK.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this to store tinned cat food in a garden shed that serves as a home for a cat who lives on my allotment: the tins, once opened, were going off in the very hot weather. I place ice-packs around the tins inside the cooler, and now, even in the hottest weather (and it really can get exceptionally hot in the shed) the food stays between ice-cold and nicely cool without going off at all for between 36 and 48 hours. In all but the hottest weather, however, I do not use ice-packs, and have found it absolutely exceptional in the way it picks up the cool ambient temperature in the shed overnight and then maintains the contents at that same cool temperature during the day.

Overall, I highly recommend this product, and am certain it would perform well in more commonplace usage, e.g. picnics etc…
