Hubby kept going on about all our yesterdays and how his mum bought Colgate for their family as there was nothing better.
To give him a treat ( and to stop his moaning!) I bought him a tube of this colgate alongside our normal Oral B. As there was 3 people in the family using Oral B it soon was down to the last squeeze, so I had to ‘borrow’ my hubbys colgate …… and I really was shocked. It left my mouth with a fresher taste than my trusty oral b.I bought two tubes of it when it ran out and since I’ve been using it I’ve found no reduction in whiteness and some days I’ve even gone without mouthwash , something I would never have done before. So I’ve now stopped buying oral b and have a regular delivery with amazon subscribe and save for 2 tubes of Colgate.
Only trouble is hubby has not stopped wittering on about how his late mum knew best. I’ve conceded on this product but there’s no way hes getting me to swap our grandsons Savlon antiseptic cream, for his mums trusty smelly germolene!
This is a nice smelling toothpaste which is minty. The whitening does not really whiten your teeth that much but still whitens it a little. This toothpaste is still really good so I use it all the time.
Teeth always feel like theyve had a good clean after using, can’t really say they look any whiter though. Kids say its a bit too minty but they still use without a fuss
After trying a few brands over the years, I prefer Colgate Total (incl. Whitening) as it seems to manage my mild teeth sensitivity, cleans the furry plaque/tartar and freshens my breath.
Colgate is one of those brands that are generally quite inexpensive but also not as good as Sensodyne. I think it may have something to do with the overall composition of said toothpaste because my teeth never feel quite as good as when i use sensodyne.
That being said its not like Colgate is bad or anything like that, its quite a good toothpaste, just not as good as Sensodyne but its also far cheaper than most toothpaste.
I’m just repeating myself at this point but I think you all get my point.

I’m a fan. Sure, it’s just toothpaste. There’s many out there and if anything, I’ll select based on price (which introduced me to this version). It has a nice flavour that the family enjoys, which appears to last longer than our previous brand. It seems to do the job and since the price decreased, we’ve stocked up.
Teeth feel lovely and smooth after using this paste. Slightly smaller tube than some other pastes but well worth the money. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
I’m no dentist or oral hygienist, but I can confirm that this toothpaste does its job —great flavor with no unnatural residue left on your teeth after brushing.
For the whitening, I can say some improvement is noticeable; however, being an avid coffee drinker, I think continuous use for a few weeks should show a much noticeable change.
Been using this Total range for several years now for the entire family, since my daughter was recommended to use it by her hygienist when she had braces on.
It must be doing something good, no cavities or fillings whatsoever to date, no tooth aches, no sensitivity etc and all the kids are now middle to late teens.
Also from a personal point of view, this toothpaste feels like the brushed teeth feeling lasts much longer than other brands.
