Really wanted a hand towel rail but as a renter didn’t want to screw into the walls. This has been solid since it went up (over a month now) and handles regular use with a hand towel. Looks good in the room and easy to fix to the wall.
Fixed this to the bedroom wall next to my full length mirror really handy to pop hairdryer in and out of so it looks neat and tidy, quite pricey but worth i
Needed a small hand towel holder for our guest room toilet. Have used Command products before so had no reason to doubt this wouldn’t be any good.
Planned on sticking the holder onto porcelain tiles. Cleaned the area thoroughly (used sticky stuff remover as a cleaning agent) and applied the stickers as per the instructions. Stuck the towel holders into position and left it 24 hours before attaching the towel rail.
It’s now been over a week since I did this and the towel rail is still very firmly attached to the wall and is the perfect size for a hand towel.
We use this little rack on the back of the door and it works perfect in the downstairs toilet. The first one we ordered arrived broken and when contacted Amazon replaced it within 2 days. Ideal for those who want to set up a small toilet room without drilling holes all over the place.
So far so good! The item has been up for 2 weeks now and is holding approximately 5 bottles of shampoo/shower gel etc. It’s well made, no sharp edges. Install was easy. Will update if it falls off but right now, no issues, couldn’t be happier.
Moved into a house but there was no thought given for a towel rack anywhere. Mounted this on the side of a cabinet just above the sink and it was perfect!
What a great idea! As I don’t have a dressing table often had my hair dryer laying around on the floor, not ideal when it’s hot after use. So now I’ve got this on my bedroom wall and it’s perfect. So easy to install and exactly what I needed.
We just moved in to a rental flat and the landlord hasn’t provided us with anywhere to hang towels in the bathroom.
We opted for a Command towel rail because we can’t drill holes.
Pros:
Looks good.
Sticks well
Very easy to apply – apply pads to rail, stick to wall, hold for 10 seconds, unclip the rail from the holders and leave for 24 hours (better if you have a shower or something during this time – the steam makes it stick stronger), then reclip the rail back on
Cons:
Much much smaller than you think it is. To hang a regular sized bath towel you have to fold in in to quarters length ways. So bear that in mind when thinking quantities you need to buy. Hopefully 3M will get around to releasing a longer one one day
This soap dish was exactly what I was looking for. I live in rented accommodation so didn’t want to drill holes, and previously tried suction cup soap dish was useless at staying on the wall, but Command came to the rescue once again. The soap dish is on the wall and has so far stayed up without fail. One very happy customer. I would definitely recommend this product.
I brought this as we had trouble drilling a towel rail in the bathroom and this was a good alterative. It would only really fit a hand towel and not bath towel/sheet. We applied it to the side of the sink unit and so far so good. A bigger version would be great for bigger towels but does the job for now.
Pleased with this towel rail. Easy enough to fit if you follow the detailed instructions. So far so good, seems very secure as I would expect from Command products (I use their picture hangers). I do have to agree with others that little disappointed that the fittings are plastic and not stainless steel; is this because of weight??
Anyway, other than that neat rail, ideal for hand towels.
I didn’t by this for it’s intended us as a soap holder. Mine sits next to my toilet for the toilet wipes to site on so I don’t keep loosing them. It does the job great and is still sitting on my wall a few months later which is more than I can say for my kitchen cupboard I put that fell off the wall in the middle of the night bringing most of the wall with it.
This towel rail is really easy to fit and stuck really well to the painted surface in my bathroom. We live in rented accommodation, so did not want to drill the wall, so this seemed the perfect solution. It looks great and seems to be well made, but it is a little bit wobbly (see the video I have attached to this review). It was fitted correctly and is stuck to the wall really well, but when you clip the rail to the connectors it isn’t a solid connection. It doesn’t really bother me too much, but just thought that I would mention it.
This was just what I needed. Unfortunately I had to pay a premium. The adhesion is fantastic and I can fit a full complement of regular sized bathing products – shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, face brush, and hair mask. I’m happy I have it but I would be happier if I hadn’t had to spend so much for what’s basically a very basic basket.
I love command products in general, they have always worked for hanging frames and leaving no mark on the walls. I thought I would give this a try as it’s an incredible pain to drill into my bathroom tiles. I must say this little shower shelf has been secured safely to the wall for the past few months, but it took a few tries.
I followed the instructions closely – a MUST for any Command products in my opinion – and it seemed to be holding up well, but a couple days later one of the sides got loose (it remained adhered to the wall, but not to the caddy itself). It did not fall! Apparently the one side that was still stuck could hold the weight of like 3 containers. I fixed it back and the same happened two or three days later. I fixed again and took my time applying some pressure. I left it empty for almost a week and finally decided to try and trust it again. It has been holding up without a problem for months now. I am satisfied, the end.
Delighted with the Command towel rails. Purchased 2 of them; one for hand towel and one for tea towel beside my kitchen sink as per photos. Very easy to attach to my tiles. Was confident they’d be strong as have purchased several Command hooks etc. over the years. Haven’t tried heavier than a hand towel on them so don’t know how strong they would be but they’re perfect for what I wanted them for. Very happy with how they look also. Would highly recommend them for hand towels.
Used in our en suite shower. Been stuck for over a month now. I do have to use a normal soap dish on top of it to stop wet soap dripping onto shower floor and when soap is small would slip through, but great as a shelf.
I have to admit that I am a great fan of Command but not everything is perfect. However this is ideal. I have gone back to soap because of the bottles liquid soap comes in. Even if they are recyclable, we just have to stop using plastic. This adheres to smooth surfaces, mine is on tile, and it is firmly there until I remove it. The soap stays dry. I happen to have an extra large shea butter soap on it at the moment and it dries quickly leaving little mess. The unit is extremely easy to clean and to remove from its anchor.
Looks great on my bathroom wall holding a hand towel near my sink.
I did struggle with pushing the rail off the command strips when I first stuck it down (according to the instructions) because I had to use upwards force and I’m disabled, but I managed it and got the strips secured properly. I would think if you skipped this step it won’t have a strong adherence and might fall off.
I was disappointed to find it’s mostly plastic but it looks better quality and it’s reasonably sturdy.
I only put it up yesterday so time will tell if it stays up.
I gave 4 stars for the difficulty I had attaching it securely to my wall (I believe this is a standard thing with this brand but I found it awkward with this item), and because it’s fairly cheap plastic when I was expecting a metal bar.
I’m generally happy with it but it’s not as high quality as I’d expected and I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is. I guess you pay for the brand name though.
November 2020
I’ve had this towel rail up since February and it’s been used daily for hand towels in my bathroom.
I’m happy to report that the adhesive command strips have stayed put and are not showing signs of wear & tear.
It’s easy to clean by wiping down, and the rail still looks good as new.
I was so excited when I saw this! If you’ve seen any of my other reviews you’ll know I love command hooks and picture holders. AND they do a towel rail??!!!! No way!!! Very easy to put up, and the sticky pads left for 24 hours before loading it up and it’s help up fantastically. The downside is it’s smaller than I anticipated but then I didn’t look at product dimensions. I just assumed it would be a certain “Towel rail size”. But it’s not. It’s smaller .. you could probably get a hand towel on it. A bath towel or sheet would have to be folded lots. But that’s not what I use it for. Oh no, I use it to hold scarves. And it does that job perfectly.
