About Us
Whether it’s providing tools to put a purple octopus on the moon, or enabling teachers to bring arts-infused learning into the classroom, Crayola is passionate about helping parents and educators raise creatively alive children who we believe will grow to be inspired, original adults.
Our company has inspired artistic creativity in children for more than 100 years – since the first box of Crayola crayons rolled off the assembly line in 1903. The company began when cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith took over Edwin’s father’s pigment business in 1885. Early products included red oxide pigment used as barn paint and carbon black used in car tires.

Daughter loves these and so do we as there is no mess! No worrying about pen marks anywhere.
We have a few of these now and they often come with different pen colours so we have quite a selection built up.
We took this on a long driving trip and it was perfect for our young kids. No mess, no fuss, and ideal characters. Not a huge number of colours so may not meet expectations of older kids, but they were great for younger kids who don’t mind the limited colour options. My only critique is that pages are attached together with 2 side-by-side with a perforated joint; this meant that I had to more carefully separate them first as my 4 year old couldn’t consistently manage to do it herself without extra tearing. Will definitely buy more
We are big fans of the Colour Wonder series. The series include a good choice of themes and the pens are really great for avoiding unnecessary mess/drawing on tables etc. They are branded as being for older children, due to the risk of choking with the lids, but the mess free component made them too good to pass up for our young toddler. Obviously we supervise her when she’s using them. I would say she gets less gratification from colouring with these pens than crayons, as there’s a slight lag to the colour developing. This lag makes it hard to be precise with staying in the lines, even as an adult. She does still get joy from them though. She particularly loves colouring the pictures of her favourite characters (and using felt tips – something she doesn’t use otherwise, far too risky)
The Bluey kit did not disappoint compared to other packs. The images are lovely, with a range of subjects. It was lovely to see so many beloved characters from the show in there.
With all of the Colour Wonder kits, the colours are often limited, as you usually only receive five pens. It’s impossible therefore to colour accurately, if that’s what your child is going for, unless you were to buy additional kits. The colour choices in this kit were particularly limited. I was especially surprised that they didn’t include an orange colour for Bingo. I feel this would have been a much better choice over the unusual pink/purple with the pen casing and lid of an almost completely different colour (dark blue/black?). Although, probably not a deal breaker for your unfussy child, as it wasn’t for ours.
These are great for my toddler as they can draw all over the paper and it doesn’t mark any surfaces, and so handy when travelling. She leaves the pens lying around without the lids on and they haven’t dried out yet. Already on my second pack and will buy agai
These are a game changer for restaurants and travel as she can’t make a huge mess but has a ball colouring in!
Colours are limited but you can buy more (they’re on her birthday list now!) She has a habit of drawing on her hands so these have solved that issue when we’re out and about as nothing shows up on clothes or hands!
I love the lion king one which I purchased for my niece, and went down really well so I decided to get blush as the next one to.colour when I see them.next.
My toddler and I love these equally. He gets to scribble away and my table (wall/floor/carpet) remains unscathed. The colours aren’t brilliant and I wish there was more choice but it doesn’t put me off buying more
They came super quickly. Packaged nicely. Products were in perfect condition with all bits and pieces inside. They were perfect for our use. So easy for children to use and get around without causing any mess
My toddler is been writing all over my walls and I had to get something to make my life easier. This is perfect! At first I thought it was one of those with just water in the markers and that you can’t really control which color will come up but no! These markers have different colours and you can write only on the sheets they provide but baby is in control of where the colour goes! It’s so much better and also mess free. I have to mention that she did colour her dress and it did leave a mark, more like a halo really but it came off after I washed it so can’t really complain!
This was a nice gift for my 2 year old niece as it allowed her to colour in with her older sister but her parents didn’t have to worry about any marks being left on the table as the pens only work on the paper provided
