I hardwired mine using a kit, just to make it look tidy.
It’s fixed permanently in place.
To access the files you can either set up on a smartphone using the app, or remove the sd card and use an adapter on your pc/laptop.
Nice to have a dashcam that is so easy to set up, mine came with a memory card so everything was good to go immediately. Includes the parking protection feature to record 30 seconds of video if the camera senses a bump when you’ve left it parked. Pleased with the dashcam and looking forward to seeing how I get on with it over the first few months.
I received this wonder dashcam and I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive initially. But I was easily able to install it within no time and was able to use it instantly.
The picture quality is decent for the price and wifi is great with no hiccups. Will surely recommend this if you are looking for a basic dashcam to protect you from surprises on the streets!
Reviews for this product we’re very good but after reading th camera information I knew I was buying a quality product.
Features are very clear and video is crisp, the instruction manual is detailed with very helpful QR coded assistance whi h provides video instruction.
There are many features and settings but most of all the WiFi o smartphone I my favourite item.
It is small and compact so its easy to hide behind the rear view mirror. It has excellent video resolution so you can see all that you need to see. I highly recommend this dash cam as it performs and has features of dash cams that cost a lot more.
This really is plug and play stuff and the supplied cable is a decent length too.
As it tells you, run the cable, clean the screen and stick the device onto it and you’re good to go.
The app connected fine once the Wi-Fi link was established with the iphone.
It was installed and running in a matter of minutes.
I bought this on the basis of other reviews and am not disappointed. It took a total of 30 minutes to inbox and install into my car. Very good quality video and IMHO just as good as a 200 product.
This dash cam is a great size for any vehicle it is so easy to set up and use within minutes of taking out the box. This was bought for my work van will now be buying one for my personal car.
Got this delivered next day and installed within 10 minutes. Works great and doesn’t take up too much space in the windscreen which is a bonus. The accompanying app isn’t the greatest but it works.
THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO INSTALL BUT ACTUALLY IT WASNT. THE HARDEST PART WAS HIDING THE CABLING BUT I WILLCOMPLETE THAT AT SOME POINT.
Then it didnt work, it wouldnt connect and even though i emailed navy crest i have had no reply. I was emailed saying that i would get cash back fort it just after i bough tit and not had anything back. very bad communicatio
The quality is unfortunately not the best, even with the highest quality settings selected. The screen is also very small, and although this makes it discreet and harder for people to spot, it makes watching it back quite annoying. It is however possible to watch things back on your phone, but there’s a whole process to get this far.
Got this dash cam to replace a faulty device that I had already. Was easy enough to install, nothing super special. Was disappointed but not suprised that the included Micro SD card is not suitable for the device, so would always recommend getting a known brand when it comes to data storage.
I’ve literally just installed it which was quite easy (fortunately my car as a 12v socket in the boot so loads of cable left over) I’m not too fussed about the WiFi as I eject the memory card and put it in my laptop if needed and the first cameras quality has been ok (I had to report a dangerous driver who nearly hit someone head on at 60mph to the police a few weeks ago and was able to get their number plate and sent them the footage)
I hope this one will be the same, time will tell, because it’s facing at the rear I’ve attached it to the cars trim I’m hoping the adhesive pad is strong enough, I slammed the boot hard on purpose a few times and it’s stayed on if not I’ve got some even stickier pads so fingers crossed. I like the fact it came with a memory card which saved me buying one.
I gave it 4 stars as I’m yet to give it a proper road test I will update the score after a few weeks.
This dashcam has ticked all the boxes, inexpensive, small and discreet, simple to fit, easy to set up and records footage in HD. The download of even a short 1 min clip from the device over Wi-Fi is slow but it is simple to remove the SD card and browse the video clips on a PC or tablet which is much easier and quickly than via the app over Wi-Fi.
My daughter actually had an incident on the first night out in the car alone and we quickly found the clip which clearly captured every detail so we’re confident that if a serious incident occurred the footage would provide great evidence.
The generated files are quite big so I replaced the MicroSD card with a 128GB one. Works perfectly.
Two small -small complaints I have.
First one is the quality of the footage. I cannot read most of the plate number at all even in full daylight. Not to mention night-time.
Second complaint is the app, it’s absolutely pointless because it takes almost 10 minutes to download a small file to your phone. But if you connect the camera to a computer using a cable, you can download the footage very quickly. So no problem.
All in all, for the price, it is ok but don’t expect amazing video quality.
The quick start guide will get you up and running in a matter of minutes. However the detailed instructions are not there, like setting the date time stamp, had to go onto YouTube for that. Further to my last review. Went to download a video clip the other day. To say it was painfully slow would be an understatement. Took nearly 20 minutes to download a 750 meg 3 minute clip, which kind of misses the point of WiFi. Much quicker to take the memory card out and copy it that way. Also don’t be confused with the picture quality on WiFi, it’s not great viewing it over WiFi, but when you download it and view it the quality is good.
