Bought as a replacement for a cheaper one as it was hard to read. This is much better all round so we’ll pleased and seems accurate enough for our needs.
Nice big display, reset button and gives 3 readings – highest of day, now and lowest of day. Sits on shelf or can hang up
Really pleased for the money, shows the lowest temperature, temperature now and highest temperature and can easily be reset each day with the press of one button, I bought it to keep an eye on temperature for a tortoise and its brilliant.
Nothing to dislike would highly recommend this for the greenhouse
This is a great thermometer for the polytunnel or greenhouse. It’s a great size, just sits nicely on the doorframe. The reset button is a bit stiff but it’s fine. On really hot days the screen can black out (around 48 degrees), but as it cools down it goes back to normal. It still records the high even though it has blacked out so doesn’t really affect it. Screen and numbers are quite big so no problem to see the temp from a distance. Overall I really like it.
Purchased for use in the greenhouse. Very easy to set up, just insert battery that comes with the thermometer. The readings are clear with a choice of Fahrenheit or centigrade. The delivery was excellent and well pleased the produc
Mine did seize up and I had to remove the battery to reset. otherwise easy to read and use.
I bought this thermometer for my greenhouse and it works well. It was a good price and I am pleased with the purchase
I got this for our greenhouse. It gives us a record of the overnight temperature along side the daily temperature. Great value.
Good value, Large Easy to read display. uses AAA cells, which are cheap and easy to get. No tools needed to fit or change the battery. Some makes need removal of the back panel using a screwdriver to fit a new battery.
Easy to read the large, clear display. Seems pretty accurate, good enough for the purpose.
It has been in my greenhouse for a week and all OK.
As a crocheter I use this max min thermometer to record the temperatures daily for my calendar blankets, and on the years I’m not making one I record the daily temp out of interest. Easy to use, just remove the screen protector and battery tab, place it in the desired position and the thermometer does the work. I have 2 because it’s in an exposed position outside so in very wet weather condensation gets inside the casing and blurs the screen so I dry it out on a heater and use the other in the interim. In very hot weather (direct sun) the screen blackens but returns to normal as it cools, still recording the max temp. If you position the thermometer as instructed you won’t get these issues – they only started when I moved the thermometer from a sheltered spot (as recommended) into full exposure. I love this thermometer, easy to read, easy to reset and very reliable!
It’s a gift so not been used yet
Hopefully it’s ok.
Xxx
Arrived promptly – smaller than I envisaged – battery supplied – easy to fit – started straight away – screw hole for fixing – no fixing supplied. Looks compact – no fuss – does what it says – inexpensive – good value.
Does exactly what you expect, super easy to set up and read, if you leave in the sun obviously might be less accurate. Has ability to be mounted on wall etc and comes with a bettery which is nice
We REALLY like these. After endless thermometers about which we’ve felt, er, the VERY opposite, “Amazon’s Choice” have got it right this time!
We use them inside in Highland Scottish houses and sheds where, to avoid burst pipes, it’s VITAL to have simple and reliable recording thermometers – like these. And we-all like what they look like inside the house just as much as outside, the green ones more than the white. We like them SO much that we’ve given them as Xmas presents – and EVERYONE are happy bunnies. We must have bought twenty or so by now. So Thank You ETI Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd.
PS And now a further 6 in Nov 2023. So yup, we’re happy!
Very useful to know the temperature in the winter especially. This is easy to read and gives the minimum temperature, particularly useful overnight, the maximum and current temperatures. The green colour I think is better outside than the white or cream versions. I haven’t had it in use long enough to know the accuracy but it appears to be reading high by one and possibly two degrees C, My previous thermometer was the mercury tubular sort and giving good service, but after it broke when accidently dropped, I replaced it with a similar type but alcohol filled. That didn’t function at all well, the markers for giving the min/max readings by floating on the liquid in the tube didn’t float and dropped down into the liquid and I wasn’t able to tell the temperatures, particularly the max. I am happy with this electronic digital version though as I said, a bit concerned about it’s accuracy. However as long as the high reading is consistent I can compensate.
