DIGITNOW RCA to HDMI, AV to HDMI Converter, 1080P Mini RCA

My old TV broke down so I bought a new one. I have an old DVD. the new TV does not have any inputs other than USB and HDMI. This device allows me to connect the DVD player to the new TV.

I bought this to convert my Sony dvd/cd player hdmi digital output into RCA analog to supply my amp for cd music. I followed the instructions of powering up before connecting just the L & R channels (no video needed) to my stereo amplifier and the hdmi to the player. It worked perfectly and l now have cd music through my music system. Great little device.

Clear picture for PS1 and PS2 even when already run through an AV splitter. However, when the consoles display nothing (a black screen) as is common with long load times on old scratched disks, this adaptor flashes an obnoxious blue screen saying no signal for just a brief moment. It is a small thing but in a dark room when gaming, that sharp blue flash when a game loads can really detract. Overall great product, hope it lasts.

Slight worry when I got it because the packaging shows it being switchable between directions but then instructions indicate that this might be an RCA->HDMI…

The actual device labels the switch for changing HDMI resolution and on plugging it in it definitely converts HDMI->RCA. I don’t know if they’re all mispacked like this but try it before getting too worried!

It does need an external USB power supply to drive the downsampler. There’s no other setup needed. There’s some noise in the output but then this is sort of unavoidable with RCA. It’s perfectly watchable on my older small screen which now plays Roku streaming just fine!
