The overall game reminds me and my wife of candy land. The experience is easy to learn and my daughter loved the game, but was upset to let go of some elements of the game when it was required. The method for moving forward is unique here, requiring a shell that you shake a colored piece out of and pair with a card. There are charms involved and my wife pointed out that the hardest part of the game was getting to the end. Overall my daughter enjoyed the game and looks forward to future plays.

This Disney Princess, Charming Sea Adventure Board Game is definitely geared towards a specific age group, I would say 4-8 max. My nine-year-old found this game to be a bit childish and boring, but my six-year-old really enjoyed it. It’s a simple game that’s easy for younger kids to understand and play. Overall not bad, but definitely a very limited audience.

    – Pretty Pretty Princess fans will like this game, it’s a similar vibe although this one gives you a little more structure by going around the board. Older kids may get bored by the mechanics.
    – We like the trading spaces, they encourage kids to be cooperative with each other even when competing.
    – The colors are vibrant, all the prints are high quality, the illustrations and graphics are cute and very Ariel.
    – We love the items used for the charms (starfish, shell, harp, jug) and it’s great that they’re silicone, not plastic, so they won’t clack together annoyingly the whole time you’re playing.
    – It’d be nice if the dinglehopper was an actual charm and not a cardboard token. The instructions tell you to add it to your bracelet when you get it (by reaching Ariel first) but it doesn’t seem like that’s actually possible.

Great pick for younger Ariel fans!

It says for age 4 and up. But I think it is more suitable for smaller kids like 4 to 6. Older kids may get bored playing it. It is made with hard plastics. The materials seem to have good quality. No odor to it. The game is simple and easy to play, that’s what I mean suitable for 4 to 6. My nine years old daughter only played it once and after that she never touch again. But on the other hand, my four years old loves playing it.

The small pieces that come with the game are very cute and interesting, especially for my nieces who are in love with The Little Mermaid and watch the movie frequently. They were delighted when I showed them the game and couldn’t wait to start playing. This is really entertaining for the girls, who are 4 and 6 years old, but I can imagine that it would be a bit boring for kids closer to 10 years old.

The pieces of the game are made of plastic, but they are big enough that I am not worried about a choking hazard. One of the standout features of the game is the building of the bracelet. The fact that the girls can wear the bracelet for the rest of the day as a trophy makes my youngest niece’s day! She was so proud to show her mom and dad that she won this round, and it put a smile on all our faces — except my other niece.

I highly recommend this product for any family with young children who are fans of The Little Mermaid. It gives my nieces a great time when we play it, and their parents get to join me and my girlfriend for some adult time while they’re building the bracelets together.

My daughter recently discovered the Little Mermaid and Ariel is her new favorite, so I knew she would love this game! We received it a few days before leaving on our vacation to Disney World, so I packed it to take with us to play during relaxing time at our resort. Game is fast to learn and easy to play for smaller kids. We had a couple of games as a family, and later she played several games on her own with her brother and they were able to manage just fine remembering how to play. The board itself is simple, but there are a fair amount of pieces between the cards, bracelets and charms – so smaller kids might need a bit of help packing it away properly to ensure nothing gets lost.

My Disney and mermaid-obsessed niece loves this game. It reminds me of similar games my sister and I played when we were her age with the graphics and little pieces it comes with. It’s simple, but not too awful for adults to play along as well and still enjoy.

Product review for Disney Princess, Charming Sea Adventure Board Game Little Mermaid Toys Featuring Ariel & Friends Fun Game for Family Game Night, for Kids Ages 4 and up

This is a pretty easy game and that is what makes it nice for children to play. Comes with easy to follow instructions and all pieces that are required for the game. the box is gift wrap-able and makes a nice present for children, makes it even more special for those who are in to Disney princess. I doubt there is an error in the value on product description, it is probably good value around fifteen bucks or lower in my opinion.

Easy board game game to play with the little ones. My 4 year old daughter got the hang of it fast. We love the colors and cute pieces it comes with. I just don’t think it’s worth $109 it is listed for? Maybe $15 at the most.

This is a really cute game, especially if you’re a fan of the movie. It’s pretty simple to figure out how to play, and it is definitely meant for younger kids. The board is colorful and fun, and the thingamabob charms are fun to wear on the charm bracelet. This would make a cute gift for a young Disney fan!

This game is not that well made but my kids think that it is fun – so that is a win!

    Decent Price
    Okay Quality
    Easy to understand game
Kids 10 and older are probably not going to have too much fun.

First of all I’m not sure why Amazon is selling this board game for $109.99. It’s probably worth it for $15.

The board game comes in cheap plastic covering and the overall quality of the game seems cheap. The game is easy to pick up and it’s not hard to learn. My daughter loves playing it and I just wish there was a better way to store all the board game pieces after you open the box. Since everything is cheaply packaged, it’s hard to store it away for future use.

Overall I give it a 5 for fun and playability and a 3 for presentation and packaging. This gives me an average of 4 out of 5.

My niece loves anything and everything Disney princess, so she really got a kick out of this board game. The directions are pretty straightforward and easy to understand. There’s nothing complicated about it, it’s easy enough for younger kids to grasp and have fun playing. You move around the board collecting charms for your bracelet, the one with the most charms at the end wins. My 4 year old niece loves it, my 8 year old daughter gets bored playing it. Because of this I would say it’s probably better for younger kids. Overall it is a really cute game and I would recommend it for young Disney princess fans!
