Strong solid feel to it , good quality for the price
Hammer heavy enough to do the job without being too heavy to hold.
Nice chunky and a decent weight. Ideal for the job I needed it for. Good quality for the money. I’m happy with the product .
Beautifully made and so well finished. Stuck to it’s “job description”,to the letter.Has same hi-spec as tools 3x this price. Would recommend this to anyone, including the most seasoned professional. Please also note that this hammer is 20ozs.which is heavy and may not be suitable for all jobs & some individuals. Really, really pleased with my order. P.S. for only8.99
I bought this as a present for my wife and she loves it, she’s used it to clean the inside of her cement mixer and said it did the job perfectly
Used this as soon as it arrived. Feels very robust and lightweight.
Every local contractor chipped in and bought me this. Now they’re making regular visits due to my I’ll fated DIY’ing.
This hammer is so sturdy and ergonomic, that I’m comfortably destroying far more around the house than ever before!
I’m sure I’m supporting the local economy with these guys always coming round!
Strong hammer good grip I’m glad I bought it now I’m building all my tools up for my new house but I would recomend this to anybody please buy i
Obviously strong and a good price. May be a bit heavy for our 14 yr old grandson’s ventures into fossil hunting and archaeology but as he grows stronger hopefully will be ok
It bangs in nails. It can take nails out. Maybe not suitable for a professional but it’s fairly lightweight and durable. Good enough for occasional handiwork without breaking the bank
I was quite impressed by this hammer, starting with the way it was balanced and ending with the rubber grip which makes it very ergonomic and easy to use. The head is round which makes it easier to nail in awkward places, which is a bonus. The price was also very good. Highly recommended!
Excellent with a chisel & for breaking large stones. Not bad at soil excavation however the head broke off after around a week of use on the latter. Not built for this so not too surprised, but less sturdy than I had expected.
Firstly: The extra weight on this hammer is a bloody god send, reducing the distance of the back swing needed to apply a good solid whack. It has a nice flat whacking surface so is not inclined to bend nails if you don’t hit it right in the middle (why do they even bother making claw hammers with rounded faces???). Both the handle and the head passed the whack test with flying colours. The handle is solid as any hammer I’ve ever used and the material provides nice grip even with gloves on. It is a nicely shaped handle without any stupid “ergonomic” curve (so can be used sideways in tight spaces without having to tilt the wrist) but still with a fattened butt to stop you slipping on a longer grip.
Haven’t tried pulling any nails yet but they’ve opted for a chunkier, robust design with the claws. Instead of the flatter “bladed” ones which round off so quickly and pretty much stop gripping after a few too many tough pulls, they’ve opted for a blunter inner face to the claws, which will still grab prominent nails with no fuss and more tolerance to wear but I guess will require tapping on to more flush nails to grip them or clever use of leverage to sort of squeeze the claws around it as you lever it out. I usually prefer a nail bar anyway.
All in all, a brilliant whacking implement and you can rest rest assured I’ll be whacking away all night long with my bigger than average tool. Then after that I’ll be using this hammer at work.
PS the brand is “DIY Doctor” but I see no reason why this is not suitable for trade. I am a tradesman, by the way. I whack stuff with hammers for money, you know.
