I started Dotty Fish in 2006 when I had 2 children under 2. I was given some leather baby shoes for my son, Josh. When I went to buy some more I realised how expensive they were and saw a gap in the market for quality, affordable leather baby shoes. I decided to draw some designs, my shoes arrived and Dotty Fish was born!
Our range has grown to include slippers, sandals and baby booties. As I always say, ‘you can never have too many shoes!’
What makes our products unique?
Our UK team design all our shoes and we test our leather to ensure it is safe for little feet. Our shoes are podiatry approved after being tested using sophisticated gait analysis tools.

Josh is 16 and Dotty Fish shoes have long since stopped fitting him. We love seeing our shoes being worn by babies & toddlers and hearing from happy parents who trust our brand.

Don’t want proper shoes on my kid’s feet just yet but these are a nice alternative. I would say a little on the big side. My daughter fits 12 – 18 months in everything but these are just too big yet. I’d say the won’t fit her until she’s 18 – 24 months. Soft, yet durable enough to protect developing feet.
I love these shoes, they’re beautiful, well made and great for my 1year old who doesn’t keep anything on her feet. I was worried for winter as she doesn’t keep socks on but she can’t take these off. And then they’re super soft so won’t damage her feet as she grows and begins walking.
I measured her feet at 10cm so we went gor size 6-12months, knowing they’d be a bit bigger but they are considerably bigger, in my opinion. We have purchased the size down for now because she will eventually wear these. That was my only issue but I’m honeslty not that bothered by it.
Bought for my year old granddaughter, who usually takes her socks off, to protect her feet when crawling across my carpeted floors. Her parents remarked how red the top of her feet looked. As I only look after her occasionally I can’t really judge how hard wearing the shoes will be. They are very pretty, soft and well made, lovely design motif and granddaughter loves them, socks stay on and they seem to be standing up to plenty of crawling and walking attempts.
We love these shoes , they’re super easy to put on to wriggly baby’s and lovely and soft. I think these are great as my daughter has been starting to walk but not quite enough for proper shoes yet and these are great for protecting her little feet. Really love the design and really well made!
On advice from other reviewers I bought the size smaller than needed and they fit perfect. She wouldnt keep anything on her feet before but these she was absolutely fine with. They seemed a little big at first but actually they looked very comfy on her. She wore them all the time and I will probably purchase another pair as slippers because they are so cute and non-slip
I bought this for my baby daugther as she is about to star nursery and they requested some sleepers to be inside. She doesn’t tend to leave anything on her feet, but she does leave these shoes on, as they are not that easy to take off, they are also very soft, I like that they have a grip that allows her to crawl but also to stand and do small steps. They did stain a pair of white socks, but I think all coulered leather does that. They are a bit on the large size but she is just 8 months so they is plenty of space for her to grow in.
I bought my daughters first pair around 2 years ago and kept buying them ever since . They seem to be very comfortable and they are very cute .
I am sorry they don’t do my size I would have a few pairs from them.
Lovely little slip on shoes/moccasins. Good quality leather. Elasticated sides so fit nicely. My daughters just cruising round the furniture and wanting to walk with help but also crawling so these are the perfect thing as she can crawl with ease. She’s
“Walked” outside with them on and they haven’t damaged.
Really lovely soft slippers. My three year old loves them. She is a size 8 and there’s plenty of wriggle/growing room but they’re not so big that she slips out of them. She normally hates wearing slippers but has to have them for nursery now, and is really pleased with these.
I love these shoes my daughter didn’t crawl but bum shuffled so is only now, at 18 months starting to walk. These shoes are so soft and comfortable, the leather takes on the shape of their little feet after a couple of wear and she loves wearing them. They are durable also she’s been wearing them for weeks all the time! I’ve throw out countless pairs of other pre walking baby shoes, as they are usually too stiff and therefore babies pull them off. These are great couldn’t get into a show shop to get her fitted during lockdown these were a lifesaver. Thanks Dotty Fish
Gorgeous little shoes, just like in the picture. Arrived very quickly! These are for a baby gift so I can’t comment on comfort or fit etc. However they look very similar to a pair my son had when he was little and they were fantastic. I would buy from this company again.
Soft leather and well stitched – bought for my granddaughter as she has just started walking but isn’t quite ready for formal shoes – she loves these and I can see her wearing them a lot – already planning to order more!
Absolutely love these have had since my daughter was 6 months. Now she is walking they are great as we have wooden floors so they stop her slipping and pulling her socks off! She has a pair she leaves at the childminders house. Will keep buying as her feet grow.
Very cute, just like the photos on the ad. Super soft. Good stretch to allow them to go on babies foot easy as they are elasticated on the sides. Nice grip on the soles without being rubbery.
The shoes look exactly like in the picture. I’m not 100% sure about the fit as this was part of a present hence, I ordered the shoes deliberately bigger.
Speaking of the quality, the shoes and the colour are true to the picture (I got the yellow ones). They feel nice and soft. I’m sure the leather will go even softer after using them. Definitely a high quality from what I can judge, I would definitely buy them again.
Brilliant for toddlers/wobblers. Bought for my 11month old daughter, within a week of her wearing them she had taken her first steps so these came in handy. She was able to enjoy the garden during the sunny weather. Will be buying again for the next size up. She hasn’t even tried to to take them off herself either.
Love these shoes. They are the first shoes my daughter has worn and they look so comfortable. They are easy to put on and stay on well. More of an indoor shoe or dry weather shoe but that still is incredibly useful right now.
I was worried that these shoes would be too big and not stay on. Measured feet as per instructions and although they are a little big they do stay on as elasticated. They are perfect for laminate floors and my 15month old grandchild does not pull them off like she does socks so her feet are warm and cosy and they look great too …very pleased.
Beautiful product! Ive really struggled to find baby shoes that fit my daughter so thought i would try these & i am so glad i did! They fit perfectly and have a little extra room for the ever growing baby. I will definitely be ordering again with so many gorgeous designs to choose from. 5 stars all round!
Gorgeously cute little shoes. They fit as I hoped they would, with toe wriggling space. They stay on well and my 9 month old doesn’t take them off, so they must be comfy. Really well made and good quality. Love the detail of bag that they came in and the friendly note. Will definitely use Dotty Fish again.
The first (and so far only) pair of shoes that our baby girl has been able to wear and keep on her feet for several hours. Normally she removes shoes within minutes, to the point that we don’t even bother anymore putting them on — at least not until she’ll be able to walk. These must be unusually comfortable for her not to get rid of them!
I love these little shoes. They are so cute and stylish and do as they say and keep socks on. My daughter is just fitting into 12-18 months clothes so they are a little on the bigger side but that’s to be expected as their feet grow quite a bit in 6 months.
I like how soft the shoes are. Also they’re easy to put on and take off. They’re perfect for my wooden floor and helped to prevent my daughter slipping and aided when she was first starting to be mobile. I bought them larger to cover her feet in some of her baby grows that didn’t have non slip feet and that worked well. My only problem with them is that the ones I bought are red and dyed her white socks until they were worn in. She’s been wearing them for two months now and they’ve stopped transferring the dye onto her socks. They never had dye on her feet thankfully. I use them as slippers. And first soft shoes for crawling.
Lovely shoes. Brought these for my 11 month old baby girl who was cruising. I did not want heavy shoes for when she was trying to walk and these have not disappointed. These are lovely and soft and even a friend brought some for her child. Still use these shoes as little slippers now she is established at walking and has solid shoes. She loved then.
Really good value. The shoes are exactly as per the photo. The leather is soft and the shoes are easy to put on baby’s feet. I have more expensive ones that are not as easy to put as the leather is thicker. My baby is 9 months and I have bought the 6-12 months which is a perfect fit. It will last me until I buy her first walking shoes. I ordered the shoes on Wednesday night and they arrived in a nice organza bag on Friday morning. I highly recommend them as my baby never loses them when playing, crawling etc…
