It arrived quickly and was easy to install. I drilled out the rear holes for the screws and filed the slots ready for some adjustment. The supplied rubber covers for the rear screw holes seemed to fall off rather easily meaning I was not sure how water resistant it would be, especially as it was mounted on an uneven stone wall rather than a flat wall. I therefore sealed the slots with transparent silicone sealant before fitting the rubber covers and this seems to have done the trick.
Otherwise all is good. The fittings work well although it would have been good if the instructions had pointed out that the 20mm holes for the cable glands just push out where needed, I only found this out by trial and error (probably a professional would know this!).
Looks a great product, seems well built, easy to fit, well packaged and delivered next day. Box has a drain hole marked but instructions say don’t drill it??? Mixed views online, I drilled one.
This was a bit pricier than I could have bought at Screwfix, but next day delivery and with the glands to secure an in and out cable below, felt it would be worth trying. The screwdriver wasn’t required so binned which is a waste and the cover seems a bit (might not be the case and time will tell) flimsy, compared to others I have.
I use an external electrical socket for my gardening equipment. Unfortunately, the last one broke, probably old age, so needed a good replacement, and chose this one. I am impressed with the quality of this device, hence would recommend.
