Saa sceptical because of other comments but so happy I bought it
Wish I bought it befor attempting to cut flooring perfect and seal which was so tricky this solved everything can’t recommend it enough to everyone
Sticky and useful gonna do bottom of bath with it aswell
Very flexible with powerful adhesion. I required two rolls fitting one on top of the other to cover a large gap. Should you make a slight mistake it is easy to remove and refit.
Easy to use, easy to cut.
Good adhesive under a peel off backing.
Tidied up a sink in a quick fix. Easy to use and has stayed in place, I bought more.
Not used as of yet but appears to be good quality
Fitted this over my sealant around the bath. It adds an extra layer of protection and looks better, (I can never get the sealant looking pro), and cleaner.
My housing association don’t care about my kitchen, so I’ve spent a lot decorating it. But there was one problem, the unsightly holes in my kitchen between the floor and kitchen units. I originally bought it to do the toilet, but realised that I could use it to cover the holes. Well I love it, it makes it look neat and tidy. I’ve used it on three units and I am blown away. Easy to use and also if my family spill water it won’t travel under the whole. I should of taken a before pic. It has a good adhesion and I’m going to buy a few more. Might even use it on my bath.
Easier to use than traditional sealant but not as pleasing to the eye.
I have previously bought similar sealant from Ali express and B&M for for around 5 and neither worked so I looked at Amazon reviews and picked the best one, I’m glad I did it that way as this one works brilliant, it’s thinner and more flexible than others I’ve tried.
Here is my advice,
warm the area up with a hair dryer. cut to average size(it will stretch and need recutting so don’t be to precise) peel backing of as you go along sticking it dawn(not all at once as it will stick everywhere it touches!)
Carefully fold at the angle and press into position with tool or fingers(I used fingers so not to damage the tape) trim again.
Run the hair dryer alone a few more times to melt the glue so it can bond well.
Dab a little silicone sealant into corners to hide any joints if necessary (I haven’t done that yet in my picture)
I highly recommend this brand it’s thin flexible and very sticky.
Look out for savings on the multi pack so you have extra if it takes a bit of practice to get it righ
This stuff is really good. Easy to apply and looks smart .. I would have given 5 stars if it was a bit more sticky.. could do with a bit more adhesive to it .
Easy to use, easy to cut and very sticky. Used as bath sealant so hope it holds up for at least a year minimum
It worked better than the sealant!!! Much neater! The only draw back was the adhesion and inflexibility of it around the corner. Make sure you press hard enough around those tricky corners. It was super convenient and less messier than your conventional sealant glue! Easy to use as well.
This is super sticky, a little tricky to put in place but when it’s in place it doesn’t move. Looks nice and a great price
I used this to seal around my shower tray to see if it lasts longer than sealant. It’s easy to use and looks alot smarter than sealant. Be careful with the toolwhen pressing onto corner as it will pierce through the thinner crease. So far it’s working fine.
Very easy to use, I opted for this as the previously used silicone sealant just wasn’t good enough to fill the large gap between the bottom of the tiles and the edge of the bath.
It’s easy to use with a pair of scissors and the tool included (be careful using the corner of the tool on the fold, as it’s thinner and so managed to pierce through in a small area!).
I’ll be leaving the bath full until the adhesive dries (24 hours recommended).
My only criticism is that it’s a brilliant bright white and against my bath/tiles, it stands out, a lot, having said that, it looks better than the dodgy silicone used previously. The top photos are before and the bottom ones after.
Video of the finished job
Before using this I had already ensured a good water seal around the bath using silicone bath sealant, making sure that the surface of the sealant was level with the top bath edge. This tape was intended to be an additional layer of leak protection plus a cosmetic smart finish.
The first impression was that the strip was softer snd more flexible than expected. Although there is a thiner line along the middle dividing the horizontal and vertical sections it was easy to bend the stip off line. In order to get the strip to bend where intended it was necessary to completely remove the backing paper and then use the plastic tool provided to work along the tape pushing the thinner “hinge” section into the corner before thinking about a good adhesion to the bath and tiles. Once a good technique was established it was easy and quick to get a good result.
The strip was needed for both the back and each end of the bath so two 90 degree corners were needed. The instruction leaflet suggests cutting a “v” in the horizontal section and then bending the vertical section into the corner. I did not find this very successful as it was close to impossible to get the bend sharp enough to get right into the corner. As there was always going to be a join in the horizontal I thought it easier to cut the strip to length and join both horizontal and vertical. That worked really well and by putting a small line of silicone on the joint edge it ensured a good water seal.
Oce installed the strip was soft enough to push into the slight indentations between tiles and after a month of showers and baths it has stayed firmly in place. No idea how long it will last but it was so cheap and easy to use I have no problem with ordering again if it needs replacing for any reason.
I ha e purchased this item 5 times over the last 1.5 years. Sadly everytime I our Hase it the quality of the item is thinner and thinner. Yesterday (07/12/22) I received the order and was dismayed at how light the box felt. After cutting down the middle seam a little I was able to tear my with my bare hands. This has never been the case. The adhesive party is also very different from when I first purchased. Sadly it seems like so many things – the quality is declining….
However it has done the job in the bathroom which was to seal a gap between the base board and the bath panel as there’s movement in my floor as a gap has been created between the two where cold air was coming in. I heated the adhesive and applied between the two to seal off the gap and cold air from coming in and losing heating in the bathroom. I honestly don’t know if I would buy this item again as it’s so thin now..shame because it’s a useful product.
