These arrived partially charged which was a real bonus. Once charged they keep their charge for ages. I’ve tried some cheaper versions and these are more than twice the power.
I got these to charge my batteries as I have two young girls in the house and we were using lots of batteries. They charge very quickly and turn themselves off once they are fully charged so it does not overheat.
This product was clearly marked 5 by hand on the packaging yet I paid the amount quoted by Amazon as 7 something. Someone has made approx. 2 profit?? The product was what we wanted!
If your like me and have kids the amount of toys that use batteries you need a small mortgage to keep up so this is life saver. There is nothing worse that the battery failing on the favourite toy or forgetting for the new toy! The worse and yes we have all been done it, taken the batteries from the remote to place in something else and then can’t use the remote anymore. Hunting through the draws for spare battery’s only to find them and there flat! Well no more as you will always have 2 AA and 2 AAA, yes the initial cost can put you off but in the long run you save a fortune
AAA batteries do not sit tight in the charger – they fit in so that the top of the battery leans slightly forward as though the battery is too long.
This just doesn’t look right – I can only assume it was done to make taking the batteries out easier – but it still doesn’t look right.
The review asks to give stars for “remote control” – absolutely no idea what this is about.
The battery charging device arrived with 2 AA & 2 AAA, except only the AA batteries charge, the AAA’s flash red on the led, which according to the instructions means error/faulty battery, I tried switching them around and I still get the same results. Luckily the AA charge and work well.
Ever since I bought my son a duplo train set, i inadvertently created a battery black hole. It would suck the charge out of all main stream batteries and spit them out after a couple of days. I bought these batteries to save myself the costs of constantly purchasing batteries and to be eco friendly. These Duracell batteries came pre charged and have used them for a few weeks and they are still going strong. Shows the stark contrast between these quality batteries and the rubbish you get in the shops. Haven’t had to charge them yet.
This is bought to replace an old Energiser charger I have used for nearly 20 years. It was a reasonable price, again made in China of course, plastic packaged although it was easy to open. It comes with 2 x AA and 2 x AAA batteries, which you should charge FULLY on receipt. Lights come up to tell you whether it is part or fully charged or if there is a fault with the batteries. I can’t really comment on longevity but it’s a neat little charger that worked straight away.
Good for the environment? Yes. Good for your wallet? Yes. Two AA and two AAA rechargeable batteries with the charger included from a reputable brand Duracell and at excellent value from Amazon.
Easily plug in the charger, place the rechargeable batteries in, and wait an hour for them to be fully charged with a green light. There is space for 4 AA or 4 AAA batteries, or you can mix them up (have 1 AA and 3 AAA batteries etc). There are two designated lights on the bottom of the charger, one on the left for two batteries, and one on the right for two batteries.
From what I’ve experienced the only downsides are that the packaging is flimsy, and the AAA batteries are not as easy to fit and charge in the charger (have to connect them at an angle, also a hassle to remove them once charged.
My old charger is still working, but many of the older batteries are on their last legs, so I thought that this would be a good compromise, a new charger and batteries.
It’s decent enough, but not without some drawbacks. I can find no reason to suppose that this isn’t a genuine Duracell products, which I see is what some other reviewers may be thinking. The batteries certainly seem to be up to the brand name. Any negatives, such as they are, relate to the charger. It seems to work well enough but has two issues. The first is the size, it’s quite wide, and therefore can’t be inserted into the middle of a multiplug as it would take up three sockets, the width extending into the pin holes of the sockets either side. Plugging it in to one end means it only takes up the space of two sockets. Secondly, and this has been reported by other reviewers, once the red lights change to green, unplugging and plugging it back in again, and they go back to red, suggesting another charging cycle is taking place. This either means that it charges using a timing function, or that the voltage sensors don’t really work that well.
Still, only longer term testing will identify whether this is a really decent charger. Will try to remember to update this review, should any developments arise.
