Duracell offer batteries in various levels – the Simply ones don’t last very long, the Ultimate do last longer but cost quite a bit more. This is the middle road, standard product which suits my purposes.

I used these batteries in a DAB radio while away on holiday away from phone signal and they delivered! Radio worked smoothly throughout the holiday on one set of batteries – no complaints.

I get through a lot of AA batteries and always buy these for those items that do not need too much power. For the other gadgets like auto lights and field cameras etc I use lithium batteries which do last a lot longer but these are great for most things.

I’ve never had issues with Duracell.
But have they always been this expensive?
For single use I find it difficult to justify the price and seem to be unwilling to continue purchasing single use batteries the more I think about it.
I cannot fault the product itself, it is perfect for its intended use, however I can’t help but feel we the consumer are just not getting our money’s worth.
They last a long while but I just wanted to voice my concern about this strange price rise.

C sized batteries are becoming harder to find these days, and I’m glad to see these Duracells are still made in the US. As a result they don’t have the same problems with short lifespan or leakage that some of the cheaper “off-shore” brands seem to suffer from these days. I’d rather pay a little more up front and know my electronics won’t be destroyed, basically. I lost a very expensive pro flashgun that way once – never again!

The adverts used to show a Duracell bunny rabbit that kept on going long after everything else had run out of juice. It seemed appropriate, and these things do appear to last longer than competitors, in my experience.

As a wise person once once told me, “You can’t afford to buy cheap”
Translation: Spend a little more up front, and you’ll save money in the long run.
That’s why I buy these batteries.

I only buy Duracell these days for all battery applications. They are simply the longest lasting and reliable.
These packs are good value for money and slightly cheaper than in any of my local supermarkets.
My only reservation in general with buying online is the concern about what expiry date the batteries will have.
The two packs I received have expiry 01/2032 which is excellent.
(I very recently bought some packs of Size D also, that were 03/2032 expiry).

I have been using Duracell Plus C Alkaline batteries for a while now and I have found them to be very reliable. The batteries are long lasting and provide consistent power throughout their usage. I have used them in a variety of devices such as remote controls, flashlights and other household items, and they have performed well in all of them. The packaging is also convenient, it comes in a pack of 6 and it’s easy to store. I also appreciate that they are easy to find in stores and online. I would definitely recommend these batteries to anyone looking for a dependable and long-lasting power source.

Good value as a 6 multipack.
Used to replace 2 batteries in my automatic Hoselock watering system.
Needs reliable power source to “close off” motorised valve within sprinkler system for external hanging baskets.

Bought these for a set of outdoor Christmas lights. Put them up at the end of December and they were still going strong at the end of January (they were on a timer and came on for 6 hours each day). Wish my other lights took these batteries as the rest had to be changed mid December!
