These are lovely little glasses suitable for many uses around the home.
Good purchase. Would definitely recommend.
I bought these for drinking red wine like they do in France ! They were great value are fairly robust ( I have a terrible track record with glasses!) and are fine in the dishwasher. They remind me of glasses we had at school many , many years ago and I thought they would be good glasses for kids to get them used to handling them.
Doesn’t break. I tried . I bought it for my baby but she can’t hold onto it, too small and slippery.
Received these perfect size for my cortados and good price very happy
They looked good. But having recieved them after unrpapping they are brillante
I needed glasses for work so I could offer a taster of the craft beers available. This size suits the job required, it’s about a sips worth.
We love these glasses for our juices in the am
Bought these to replace some rather cheap, plastic “glasses” in my picnic hamper. A real design classic, they are fine, sturdy items, perfect for serving wine when eating outdoors.
I don’t like stemmed wine glasses, too easy to knock flying and the stemless glasses always seem very fragile thin glass and I’ve broken too many washing them. These are perfect! Also good for my morning double shot.
Duralex 1025AB06/6 Picardie Water Glass without Filling Mark, 160ml, Pack of 6, very nice product.
As a child, drinking water from a sturdy little glass at school lunch, the name on the bottom of the glass could be read when one looked inside.
Forty years later, in a little bar in a remote French village, the same name, in the bottom of the same glass.
Twenty years later, when the last of the cheap tumblers finally broke, there was never any question, which glasses to buy.
I was just waiting for that glass to break, so I could buy the correct ones.
They will probably outlast me.
I bought this set for my toddler, as I wanted something sturdy and small enough for his little hands. He hasn’t dropped any of them so far, but they feel sturdy and of good quality.
I bought these to use as espresso shot glasses. They are a perfect size for collecting the shot under the portafilter. They’re a nice size and shape and sit comfortably in the hand. They also stack nicely for storage
The glass feels pretty strong and I think they’ll stand the rest of time.
Really nice solid glasses. Very pleased. Sadly on came with a razor sharp chip out the edge of it , beyond that fantastic. Hopefully they will send me a single replacement for the chipped produc
Received this item on Monday but the tumblers were blue instead of clear. Sent an email to Rinkit. They replied almost immediately. Was asked to send some photos. Got a reply back almost immediately again saying, sorry for the mistake and any inconvenience caused and that they would send the correct item. Received the item today, Wednesday!! Very impressive Customer Service, 5 stars Tumblers look good too!!!
Somehow, we were sent glass glasses, not plastic glasses. We liked the heft, weighted feel which makes them stable, less likely to be knocked over. The wide mouths make them easy to clean, all the way to the bottoms when something yuck dries up down there. Instead of a curvacious body shape, the faceted, conical body is easy to hold, even with soapy, slippery washing up liquid. They nest well in stacking or side by side (up/down) on the shelves.
My kids and I love these large glasses. You can’t beat a large diet coke with ice, or coconut water or plain water in these, really quenches your thirst and saves you from having to replenish too soon. They’re good quality – I’ve had them for around 6 months and use them on a constant basis and none of them have chipped. I may try the next size down next time even though I love these
I love these glasses. Great value, classic style, and delivered promptly. But if, like me, you read the description and thought you would order them because they are blue (which is what I was looking for) – they are not. They are clear glass. I’ll keep them anyway, but am sad not to have the blue ones I wanted. So I’ve knocked a star off.
Having worked in the hotel business, I must have bought thousands of these over the years. I bought some of these recently for my elderly parents. My mother in particular has trouble gripping things and dropped a number of breakfast juice glasses recently, breaking them all.
She finds that with the fluted design and flat sides, these glasses are very easy to grip and more comfortable to hold than traditional glasses and will just bounce off the kitchen floor if dropped ( I’ve asked her not to test this theory though….!!)
A good shape for espresso as it flairs slightly at the top which helps catch the coffee below a porta-filter. The glass (at the sidewalls) is around 2-3mm thick which is perfectly fine. I actually discovered these glasses in use at a big coffee shop in London Bridge so if they survive commercial use then they must be sufficiently sturdy for light use at home. At this price point I would consider them good if they lasted 6 months.
As an added benefit of being slightly thinner, the specific heat capacity is reduced and so less heat is removed from your coffee which is important for maintaining your intended flavor profile.
All in all, these are clearly well made, stylish and more than sufficient for espresso use. Highly recommended.
These are great, sturdy looking glasses. Tumblers. I like that, ‘French Bistro’, look of them. I wanted a smaller size glass, as l have the larger ones. They bounce well, as l knocked one off my kitchen counter. It bounced, onto my ceramic tiled floor. Phew! Straight back into my hand, almost. That says a lot. They are big enough for most drinks. If you don’t want to get your special glasses out. If they do break they shatter into rounded pieces. Not pointed shards of glass. I think that the dishwasher will eventually dull them. They are not overly expensive. So they will serve you well. It puts me in mind of school dinners. Our’s were good! They are called ‘water glasses’ forget that! Open a bottle of wine.
I like the shape, it’s very easy to grip and much lighter for it’s size than many other tumblers I’ve used in the past. I presume they can make the glass thinner because it’s toughened? They’re also very nice to drink from as the lip flares slightly at the top.
The glasses stack one inside the other very easily to save room in the cupboard. I find the dishwasher very harsh on all glassware and these glasses seem more durable than most but still show signs of pitting after several months of use.
I now have quite a few glasses in different styles and sizes from the Duralex range and rate them as superior to most on the market while still very reasonably priced.
These glasses arrived well packaged in their box, all intact. They are chunkier and thicker than I expected, but the upside is that a year on they are all still intact. They also haven’t turned cloudy in the dishwasher yet, hurrah. The rim is slightly flared out so they JUST fit in my dishwasher cup rack, which is pretty standard sized (most annoying when items are too big to fit in the proper section!). The glasses are stable and they are the perfect thirst quenching size for a cold summer drink, where you don’t need to decide on more ice/less juice or vice versa. The glasses are stackable, though with quite a large amount of the inner glass sticking up, so make sure you have enough height in your cupboard if you know you’ll need to stack. Can’t think of anything else useful, so, I recommend these glasses if you don’t mind them being quite heavy and chunky.
I was taken back to my youth when I unpacked these glasses,as these are exactly what we used back then.I can recall my Mum filling these with orange juice in the 1950’s,although we had to have carrot juice after the War,YUCK!!.
We also used these in Grammar school,I can see them now all lined up on the trestle tables in the dining room.
Thinking back to those times,my Mum treasured those glasses as unless you had the ration coupons you couldn’t buy any more, assuming that our local Grocer had these in stock. This grocer sold everything you could think of,so different from today! He used to stack the glasses in the shop window,in a sort of pyramid shape,it was a wonder to behold as how they didn’t all fall down I will never know.Kids then, loved to window shop as we had so little compared to kids today.
Anyway, nostalgia apart, these glasses are truly excellent and very strongly made. Also as one other reviewer stated, they are so comfortable in the hand.
So go on,spoil yourself,a truly bargain buy and the nostalgia comes free :)!!
