When this arrived the outer box was huge , i thought darn how am i going to lift it. But on opening it was a good size , ease of use and for my needs it was brilliant and a decent price too
Great to use.nice an lightweight.nice long cable an cutting blade good length too. good price All round it’s really good it ticked all my means in a hedge cutter.
I bought these cutters to replace a Gtech cordless cutter with the extended arm. The Gtech stopped working after 2 years, I must have used it 10 times in total and I don’t have a lot of hedges, just tall ones. Internal failed part would have cost 60 to replace, and would only last another 2 years, maybe
These cutters are so more powerful, like a hot knife through butter.
Pros
One swipe is enough to remove even thick stems
Having to hold both power buttons is a very sensible safety function. It would be very dangerous if the cutters started working whilst holding with only one hand.
Cheaper than a cordless
Cons
Heavier than cordless, but this is where the more powerful motor is stored, plus a much longer cutting arm.
Have to use a stepladder, with some one holding it, for anything over 6 feet.
I would definitely recommend these cutters
Very sharp & lightweight so easy to use but overall construction typical of a cheaper construct. It’s never going to be in the DeWalt or Makita class but its low price offers the advantage of affordability. In this day and age that’s got to be a bonus. I’m giving it a cautious recommend – if it lasts – as I know that the motors on cheaper power tools these days don’t seem to inspire longevity-confidence – but time will tell.
Mind your fingers, and mind the cord. This would cut through either without slowing down. One usage so far … Einhell 1 vs 0 Hedge. No contest the best… Smoothest. Sharpest. Quietest… Electric hedge trimmer I’ve ever had. I’ll probably make this my go-to brand for power tools after using this.
I used to use a flymo sabre with extended pole long reach style but have switched to this when the flymo gave up one day. I find this so much easier to use, there’s no heavy battery to carry., the cut result is great. I went around trimming everything I could I enjoyed the result so much. It does get heavy on the arms after a while but no more than the long reach pole version did. I am a 5ft5 female and found it fine to use.
value for money nice n easy to use
DELIVERED IN A STUPID OVERSIZED BOX BY AMAZON YOU COULD HAVE FIT MY BODY INSIDE IT WHY WASTE SO MUCH ON PACKAGEING
Lighter weight than my old Qualcast hedgemaster and slightly longer. Easy to operate and quite quiet. The only slight downside is that you need to keep both switches held to operate (which is probably a safety thing) ,but my old one only required a press of the safety button and if you continued to hold the operating switch it could be used one-handed, very useful if stretching out to cut wide hedging. Perhaps duct tape might prove useful!
This Einhell is by far the best hedge trimmer I’ve bought & I’ve been through a few. It cuts well; the added feature of the cutting collector is a plus. The long length of the lead makes life a good deal easier when reaching for those awkward heights.
(I decided against getting a cordless trimmer because of the constant need to recharge. The batteries don’t last very long & replacements are a nightmare to find because the designs change from year to year).
Overall, Einhell is worth the money.
This hedge trimmer is very easy to use. It make light of hedge cutting and the blade guard helps to keep the distribution of cuttings to a minimum. The cut out as soon as the trigger is released is an excellent safety feature. I would recommend this product.
