The Elice kit is the perfect way to add some extra style and flash to your home decor. I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. his amazing kit comes with 9 Smart Light Bars that can be used to transform any room into an amazing display of colour and light.

I recently purchased the elice Smart Wall Light Starter kit and I’m really impressed with the results. I’ve been able to completely transform my living room into a beautiful space that I’m proud to show off to my friends and family.

The easy-to-use Wi-Fi Smart Music Sync lights make setting up the light system a breeze. I was able to get everything up and running in no time. The lights are also compatible with Amazon Alexa, so I’m able to control the lights with my voice.

At the time of this review this lighting system is 129.99 with a 13 off discount voucher. It arrives really well packed and has everything in there to get started. I started with laying the light strips on the floor to try and design a shape and it’s harder than i thought to try and pick a shape! I could have done with a few more light strips but I have had a look and can’t seem to find them through this seller. It’s easy to put together – just make sure you click the strips in. You can use the basic features of this without the app but if you prefer to be a bit more high tech then id recommend the app. The wire isnt the longest but if you hang it above your desk there should be enough length.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks good but hard to pick a shape

On the upper end of the price scale for LED wall strips, this elice smart light kit is versatile, eye-catching and truly impressive in its aesthetics.

What I like best about the kit is that it isn’t restricted to any one shape. I can assemble the strips into one of the 44 suggested patterns, or I can create an entirely different shape if I choose. If you want to decorate a larger wall space, you could combine 2 or more kits into a huge eye-catching design.

The provided instructions are thorough. Assembly is easy, as is controlling the lighting via app. There’s a wealth of colours and presets available. I favour the breathing light effect. There’s something about a digital device seeming to breathe that I find weirdly compelling.

The Music Rhythm mode works well, with the lights pulsing in time to the beat. One exception I found was Funkadelic, whose music seemed to flummox the lighting. Maybe funk is just too analogue and organic an entity for digital technology to understand. The lights had no issues with syncing to classical, blues, metal, electronica or punk, though. Funk was the thing that flummoxed them.

Fairly expensive kit but well worth the money.

    An easy five stars.

The Elice Smart Wall Light Starter kit contains 9 smart light bars that can be configured in a variety of orientations and configured via app.

One of the biggest pros of this product is its versatility. You can configure the lights into a variety of orientations to fit your specific needs. Whether you want to create a cool lighting effect or highlight a certain area of your home, these lights can get the job done.

However, there are a few cons that I’ve noticed as well. Firstly, the construction of the lights feels a bit cheap. They’re not the most durable lights out there, so you’ll want to be careful when handling them. Additionally, the wire that comes with the lights can be a bit difficult to hide as well as being a bit short.

Overall, I would recommend the Smart Light Kit to anyone who is looking for a versatile lighting solution. While there are a few drawbacks to the product 🙂

This arrives in a shrink wrapped full colour printed box measuring approx 30cm x 16.5cm x 5.5cm.

It looks gift ready, would be easy to wrap & makes a fabulous gift for a teen or anyone who just likes responsive lighting.

Inside the box, you get the bits to build whichever shape you want, with a wired controller that you can use if you don’t want to download the app (although you will have less functionality that way).

It’s really simple to build & rebuild, but I was not able to find any ‘add on’ kits for this, so if you want more bars the only way I could see to add them would be to buy an entire new starter kit.
That’s a shame as I would have like to add 3 more bars but feel the price is too high to justify a second kit just to get the 3 extra I want.

It has an external mic built in which it uses to respond in time to music which is does pretty well & it can be added to your Alexa or Google Assistant.

The app can be downloaded from the Play Store (for Android 4.4 or higher phones) or Apple (for ios 10 or higher).

As well as using this with various colour combinations, it can also be used as a regular wall lamp with all the bars just using white lights which I thought made it more useful for those times when you aren’t in the mood for pulsing colours.

It comes with sticky pads so you don’t need to drill holes to stick it up & it needs a regular socket within reach as it’s mains powered.

I really like this in use, particularly as I can use it as a dim wall light when I’m working (it’s not bright enough to read by, only good for background lighting) & it looks brilliant when you set it to the music visualiser mode too.
I just wish it was easier to pick up a couple more bars to add to the 9 it comes with.

I’ve wanted a Leaf setup for a while and when I saw this, I thought it would be great to test out, considering the amount being asked for in comparison.

Overall, this product works great. Can I recommend? Yes, absolutely

    Some niggly points though:
    * SmartLife app is what’s used to communicate with these lights. Yes, it does work with Alexa and Google Assistant; however, like with many SmartLife synced products, not all features are available outside the app.
    * I was able to get this working with HomeAssistant; however, initially very little feature accessibility. Sure the community should have some workarounds, but none at this stage.
    * Other than 3M sticky pads, no way to drill into wall – Handy in some respects, experience with sticky pads leads me to want a more permanent solution.
    * Although cheaper than Leaf, it’s still pricey, especially if you decide to purchase more for the modular design.

    Likes:
    * Wired control pod, if you choose not to use the app (although limited features)
    * Basic smart functionality built in – On/Off Times, etc.
    * Cable routing, look, design are unobtrusive.
    * LEDs are super bright. Not enough to fill a room of course, but bright enough for the right ambience and each LED bar syncs well, with no colour shift that I could see.
    * Microphones used for music / audio detection work quite well – A nice gimmick that is quite addictive to play with.
    * Modular design, like the Leaf, allows you to purchase and add more lights – Going to cost though.

    Hopefully in Time:
    * With time and patience, someone smart enough should be able to get this working fully through HomeAssistant and not the SmartLife App

These lights work a treat! If you have seen / used or in the market for Nanoleaf ones then give these your serious consideration. They are very very similar in operation and quality and are cheaper also.

I was pleasantly surprised by them and gets a thumbs up from me!

    Pros:

    – Incredibly easy to put together, hang up and setup through the app.

    – LED’s are very bright, enough to give decent mood lighting to a whole room even though they are facing the wall.

    – The animations of the LED’s are are gorgeous and smooth with tons to choose from and the ability to create your own custom ones in the app.

    – Cheaper than Nanoleafs version of this model.

    – Works with Alexa/other smart devices and can be scheduled to turn on and off when you like.

    Cons:

    – Can feel a little flimsy when fully put together, depending on which pattern you decide on. If you’re choosing a long one like mine you’ll need two people to hang these up.

    – Though cheaper than Nanoleafs it’s still a very expensive bit of kit and could quickly add up to more if you add additional lights. And that’s if you can even add additional, I can’t see any option on the sellers page to buy more light bars.

    More detailed review below:

Overall super impressed with these lights. I was a bit skeptical that these would be able to hold their own against other brands like Nanoleaf and Govee but I have to say they’ve held up incredibly well.

The build quality of individual parts is fantastic and solid, I didn’t feel like I was going to break anything or like I had to force any parts when putting these together.

There’s tons of ways you can customize these with each circle connecter having ports all the way around giving you options to style these in anyway you can think of. I ended up settling on the pattern on the box as it was one of the longest you could create and I wanted it to span my empty wall. This does come with challenges though. As it was so long when I tried to lift it to install myself the weight of the other end caused it to crumble apart. Nothing was damaged but do keep in mind you may require a second pair of hands here. Other than this small point, the setup was incredibly easy, the bars just clip into each circle connecter with little force, all linking back to the main connector point which supplies power to the rest.

Once up on the wall we routed the cabling down and kept tidy with the included mini cable clips that secure the cable against the wall. When doing so I noticed an in-line controller that can be used if you don’t have your phone on you. Handy, but personally I don’t see me using it very much, especially with how well Alexa is integrated and the fact it can be voice controlled. The app is also simple enough to use as well and only took me around 5 minutes from install to get control of the lights via my mobile.

Now onto the LED’s. They’re bright. Very bright in fact. When I first saw these and noticed that the LED’s have to face the wall I figured they would just be bright enough to illuminate around the wall and that’d be it. Surprisingly not that case! Even though these are facing the wall they are bright enough for the light to spill into the room as well. Not bright enough to fully light it of course but it’s perfect to have on when you’re playing games or watching a movie to give some mood lighting.

These are simply a fantastic mood light option and perfect for a gaming setup. They are expensive but still around 20 cheaper than what Nanoleaf are offering for this type of light bars. Personally, I’d save that 20 and go with these. They function perfectly, were easy to to setup and look the bee’s knees! 5*!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as Nanoleafs!

This is a really cool light set-up. It looks amazing on the wall in a gaming room.
There’s various shapes/designs to create my own style. I’ve tried a few different set-ups and still can’t make my mind up which i like better.

The lighting effects/patterns are stunning and there’s an endless amount of options to choose between.
My current go to is the music sync, it works really well.

The quality of this set is great, the connections are strong on clicked into place.
It also comes with plenty of adhesive for the lighting and the wires too.

    Would absolutely recommend.

    Super stylish and funky.
Can be built it to any shape or design.
Has so many light patterns you can choose from but my favourite is that it can sync to music which makes the room
    very atmospheric.
It’s a unique item, I don’t think I e ever seen anything like it before which make its feel all the more special and a real centrepiece to a room.

ON the description page it states “Try to avoid mineelds, strong magnetic elds, and humid and high-voltage areas during installation” Believe me … I always try to avoid minefields!! Fortunately, not too many in this part of the UK.

So aside from the minefield warnings what does this do?
Technically, it’s a dual mode phantom splicing light controller. It has an external microphone for listening and controlling the lights in sync with music in the room. In essence, the nine connecting light bars have multicolour LEDs inside that are powered and controlled by the app or physical circular button controller to provide a variety of lighting effects.

The controller has seven buttons for changing the effects. However the best option is to download the app, as this has lots more features and control settings that you can use directly and wirelessly from the mobile phone. It will also work with via Alexa and Google assistant.

The SmartLife app can be downloaded and installed on Android or iPhones. When I tried to set the app running with the lights, I did have some difficulty connecting, although this could be because I’m running two different networks in the office and home.

Once eventually setup, Iwas able to control all kind of light effects. Different colours, timing and fade and synchronising to music. The one thing I Really liked is that I can assemble the light nine light bars is any shape and combination I like to create unique logos and designs. I Understand this system is also modular, so extra can be added.

The lighting control is great for party effects, or to generally colourise a room during social events. However, it can also be set to white light allowing it to illumiante an area. Physically setting up is straight forward, I could have stuck, or screwed the bars directly to a wall, but instead I decided to mount the whole assembly onto a white melamine board. This makes it easier to design, position and remove afterwards.

A very powerful and effective light entertainment unit. A little bit let down by the app, otherwise a visually stimulating mood generator. Somewhat pricey at 160. I’ve used better lighting effects for less, but this kit does allow you to make your own shapes and designs, so that’s the main advantage

First impressions – not disappointed this starter kit has a lot in the for the money.

    The kits in the video
The in-line remote control in case you don’t want to install the app, it has double sided foam tape to stick it down.
    A uk plug with a 1.5m lead
    Nine light rods
Ten circular connectors to connect the light sticks, they get stuck to the wall with double sided foam pad ( no drilling)
The plastic bag has clear plastic cable connectors to tidy up the training leads to power and remote with 3M branded double sided foam.
Alexa and Google assistant supported amongst others.

All looks good just need to plan the location and pattern, with sticky pads I won’t want to be pulling these back down

I hope the video and this review shows you what you will get in the box and you find that helpful
