Bit too big for my head but would be perfect if you had a bigger head
bought this because all fancy recommended brands are off amazon and dont ship to UK, counterbalances quest 2 perfectly and fits all adults in house (5’2 to 6″)
might be awkward to fit onto VR for the first time because of the strange shape but you learn quickly after that i just had to look at the model images
The stock strap on the quest 2 made my forehead go numb after40 minutes of play. With thos I can now play comfortably till the battery dies.
I haven’t tried it with thrill of the fight yet, I might put the old one back on for that, as I bounce around like a lunatic when playing that!
Well worth the money and probably better than the meta elite strap.
The 3XS Head Strap Compatible with Oculus Quest 2 is a great accessory that enhances the overall experience of using the Quest 2 headset. The adjustable head strap provides a comfortable and secure fit, ensuring that the headset stays in place during extended gaming sessions. The enhanced support and comfort are immediately noticeable, reducing neck and head fatigue while allowing for a more immersive experience. The build quality is solid, and the straps are easily adjustable to fit various head sizes. Overall, this head strap accessory is an excellent investment for anyone looking to get the most out of their Oculus Quest 2 headset.
An excellent head strap. Works well with heads of different sizes.
One thing I wish I had known is that it does not fit into the Oculus Quest 2 carry case. This is probably my fault for not reading everything properly.
I bought this for my son as he kept complaining about how uncomfortable and loose the occulas felt playing after a certain time he noticed a big difference the first time he used the extra connections for it and the forehead lining is so much more comfortable no complaints anymore
Comfort, ease of use and the ability to flip up the front a bit makes everything so much better. Game changer and huge improvement to the useless underpant elastics that come with the unit OOTB
I really like the comfort and the way to adjust but I dislike how sometimes the black sticky piece keeps on slipping of sometimes
This strap just makes oculus quest so much more comfortable feels sturdy and it allows you to take the quest off easier I wear glasses and the strap you got with it made it quite hard to get it on my head and face without almost taking my glasses off my face.. this strap makes it easier to wear them
It’s reall nice headstrap set but playing beat sabre it slips when ducking. I think for a smaller head it would be fine but for me is just slowly slid up and came loose.
I’ve got a very large head, which this fits comfortably. Had it about a month, dropped it a couple of times without damage to the Quest or the head strap. Forehead pad and back of head pad balance the weight of the Quest well. A little pricey at 30 but that’s cheaper than the official Elite strap and that one doesn’t have the forehead pad
This headstrap is great strong and most importantly cheap, it’s very comfortable and reasonably easy to install (granted you read the instructions first and don’t initially install it upside down) that being said the only issue is the tightening wheel on the back, it works but by God is it clunky and loud
Was blown away at how impressive the oculus is! I was wowed everytime I put it on for the first few weeks. That factor has of course worn off slightly but still incredible after 4 months and always new stuff to find and do for free (as well as paid)
I would encourage anyone sitting on the fence to take the jump. Be aware that its not the same visually as a psvr (unless pc supported) but being wireless, everything included in the box for the price, SO much content and the strong visuals makes it a great purchase.
I want to love this, but unfortunately while it changes the weight distribution to the forehead, it doesn’t do much to keep it in place. For me at least, over time the headset slides down my nose. If I look up, the back head rest slides up and I have to re-adjust it. I’ve fixed this by buying a battery fixture and attaching a powerbank to the back of the strap. That fixed the balance significantly.
So much more comfortable than the terrible stock strap, which I dealt with for about 6 months before upgrading. I have long hair, which made this strap slip up at the back a little, but strapping a battery pack to the back sorted that out.
Very comfortable for longer sessions, keeps the quest 2 in place without it moving very much and without any face pain. Plastic has a very rigid/cheap feel to, and the dial at the back makes a horrible noise, but it but its sturdy enough and works perfectly. In a different league compared to the quest 2 basic strap.
The product offers a quick guide about how to replace the original oculus strap, which is done in a couple of minutes. Replacing the original Quest2 strap is a must as it’s quite uncomfortable to wear and adjust.
On the contrary this one feels quite nice and more stable. As said, it’s a really nice to have.
I upgraded front the default strap because I started getting headaches from it (developing for 4 hours, etc). All the pressure goes on top of the head rather than the brow bone. Since I’ve had this, not a single headache. Similar to Rift/Rift S.
It’s also so much easier to put on and adjust to different people’s heads.
While the flexibility is advertised as a bonus it feels more so cheap. Worth shopping around as this exact strap is sold by a lot of retailers.
I was using the standard strap before this and the weight and pressure became painful on my face very quickly, leaving marks on my face. I needed something that would take the pressure off my face and forehead as it was too uncomfortable to wear for more than half an hour.
There are a few types of head straps and the halo style ones like this appealed to me because of how it sits on the head like a hat, rather than being strapped on using pressure to keep it in place like other styles.
I searched around and this one seemed to to do what I wanted, and the difference is amazing. Now it’s sooo much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It took me a while in the beginning to adjust it to where I was happy but after I got it right I’m so so happy with it.
The weight is balanced with the pressure at the top of the forehead and at the back behind the head, then the headset sort of floats where you need it with minimal contact on the face, which is perfect.
Also the way it bends in the middle, and can be positioned further back or forward on the connection arms means you can put it on any shape/size head and it doesn’t pull down on the cheeks or slip forward.
It remains sturdy and comfortable for long periods, absolutely a world away from the basic strap, so happy with this purchase!
Very nice headstrap, very comfortable however I will say, think about the case you have, will it fit, not the headstrap fault but had to change my case to fit it in. Just think about that when purchasing.
I have had 2 elite straps break on me so was looking for something more sturdy. Not only is the halo strap more durable its cheaper and more comfortable too. Takes a little getting used to how to set it up and wear correctly but once on it fits well and is easier to put on or take off than other straps. But there is also the problem. I am unable to get a really firm/snigg fit so it can slip in more active vr games and I found I was having to adjust it mid game or even hold it in place with one hand to complete a level. Some further tweaking has lessoned this but it is never going to be as securely fitted as the elite strap. Overall, I’d say its good value and unless I have an endless supply of free elite straps to keep replacing this would be my preferred quest 2 mount.
So much better than the default band. Sits well on my head and is very comfortable. No more weight pulling on the front of the face and forehead, it’s all evenly distributed and because of that I’m not constantly re-adjusting the headset to get it in focus. A must for anyone with a Quest 2.
It’s better than the default strap by far, waaay more comfortable and easy to put on and adjust.
However, i do not like how it attaches to the headset at all. It’s slightly smaller in width than the headset’s arms/speakers which is “slides” on to to fix itself to the headset. This means it puts an awful amount of pressure on the arms inwards, i honestly crapped myself when putting it together thinking i was going to snap an arm off of the headset. it being a testament to the build quality of the quest that i now have this strap fitted.
The build quality of this strap is below par in my opinion, and I’m only saying that due to the price point of it. It’s built using flexible plastic which i do not have high hopes for 12 months down the line. Though everything is overpriced for VR so it’s to be expected.
So, apart from that it’s a great replacement strap. Way more comfortable since it’s cushioned, and you can tighten it by simple turning the knob at the back. Putting on the headset is much faster since you can simply pivot it up off of your face. I did wear glasses before getting prescription lenses fitted, and i had no issues with them interfering with the strap (get fitted lenses though, it’s way easier to use VR if you’re blind like me).
Massive improvement over the elasticated straps that were apparently designed at 5 to 5 on a Friday afternoon by someone who either a) dislikes people and/or b) has no pain receptors in their head.
Weight is much more evenly distributed and despite the additional weight of the strap itself, the whole rig feels much lighter.
Plenty of adjustments possible and accommodates my largish sized head easily and secures without any overtightening.
The strap is hinged so it’s much easier to put-on/take-off.
It’s also easy to adjust the headset relative to your field of vision.
Can’t attest to durability, seems reasonably sturdy, no obvious flaws.
As per title, this is what the Quest 2 should’ve shipped with.
This is without a doubt the best headstrap I have used so far. I have been involved in vr for a few years and am also a lecturer who uses vr. Normally I used the elite headstrap but I wanted to try this model because it is closer to the very comfortable playstation halo strap.
Once attached it is clear there are some real benefits to this strap. Firstly it is very lightweight and takes the pressure off the face. This has the knock on effect that your face will not be so hot. Finally, it is much easier to use with glasses.
However, the plastic does not feel quite as sturdy to the elite strap, but this does make it lighter and as many users are aware, the elite has a habit of snapping.
I recently had two headsets for my students to use and they ALL preferred this headset. It does let in a little more light around the nose, but I do have a nose light guard which I plan to use.
Overall, this is the best so far and will make long sessions far more comfortable.
This is better comfort than the original the balance is great and so easy to put on and adjust the fit. The only issue is that the fitting do start to slide up and needs to be pushed back down pretty often but you can’t fault the comfort would have been nice if there was some attached headphones or ear plugs for the price
It takes the weight off the brow and distributes it around the head making it much more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time it’s also easy to wipe sweat off the leather straps I would recommend this to anyone buying a quest 2
Having read so many bad reviews regarding the official elite head strap I decided to take a chance on this one.
I find it very comfortable in use and it allows me to position my Quest 2 correctly which in turn provides a clearer image in the headset, unlike the elastic strap that comes with the Quest 2.
The strap fits easily once you’ve removed the Quest 2 elastic strap and holds the headset in place very well. The fact the strap folds in half when fitted to aid with storage is a bonus.
I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to purchase this head strap.
After using the awful strap for a couple of months I’ve been looking for a good replacement that wasn’t the official elite strap because that snaps after a week. I found this and I’m blown away. It’s incredibly comfy, it distributes the weight of the whole headset and it hasn’t snapped. Feels really sturdy. Best comparison is a better playstation vr headstrap bit for the quest 2. Playing vr without the headset falling off my face. THANK YOU!!!
I really wish I’d purchased this ages ago. I bought my Oculus Quest 2 in December 2020 and was amazed at how awful the stock strap was. I couldn’t bear to have the headset on for more than 10 minutes and ended up with an excruciating headache and face pain. I purchased the elite strap in January and even though it was definitely an improvement I still wasn’t satisfied. After a bit of research I finally gave in and bought this Halo strap and I haven’t been disappointed. I now feel comfortable to play for longer sessions and don’t feel the need to readjust once I’m comfortable. It definitely lifts the weight off my face and there is great support at the back. The dial does sound a little clunky but it tightens and stays in place and does the job perfectly. If you can’t get on with the stock strap I highly recommend this Halo strap especially if like me you’ve been used to PSVR.
This is my 4th premium head strap ordered, I’m not sure, if there is a genuine one but I’ve got to a point where I’m bored of returning ones that don’t fit properly.
The problem comes from the contact usually between the modified strap and side arms of the device.
The halo has bypassed this problem by ditching the moulded clip on and offering a slide on solution.
This is not only easier to push on, it doesn’t feel like it is going to snap off or damage my device in any way.
The halo is easily adjustable and comfortable to wear for extended periods. I’m extremely happy with it I only wish I’d have found it sooner.
This may also help those whom have already damaged their side bars as only a small amount of the bar is required to attach these.
See y’all on synth rider. Happy gaming.
