Easy instructions, easy to use, no bubbles whatsoever. Really did the trick. The picture was after the first sanding of excess resin. I used a mix of the 2 golds that came with the kit.
Love it, will definitely buy again for other projects
It was my first try with epoxy and the results were great. I definitely need to get better at using colours and glitter but that’s an other problem 🙂 The kit is good to start. I used it with small mushroom moulds
Does what it needs to do and is a good price
I was so pleased with the project i made using this resin. The resin was clear like glass, cured really well and was ready to demold without fingers prints, in approx 11-12hrs. This really surprised me because the project was a large, thick heart shaped picture frame that was about an inch or so thick. In 24 hours it was solid like glass. Would recommend especially as it comes with all the extra goodies.
New to crafting with resin easy to use but can be messy make sure the surface your working on is covered and make sure you give it a really good mix to activate it or it stays sticky .
The two components can easily make a fair amount of resin mix. I was disappointed with the poor size of the two mixing pots. About the size of a medicine dose, they could only be used to mix the smallest amount of epoxy.
Guess I’ll have to but some larger mixing pots!
The glitters recipient is minuscule (2cm) they should advertise the true size, pigment is ok-ish.
The resin it is great if you follow the basic rules mix 3-4 min slowly then leave it for 5 min to rest and you will have no bubbles, for me works very good.
Best price for the most amount of resin that I could find. It came with a good value set of everything you need.
We also bought a separate jewellery making silicone mold and metal pendants.
Overall good set for the money and highly recommend.
A pretty decent kit with everything you need to mix and pour the resin. Plenty of dyes for multiple colours. The measuring cups are a good size and survive multiple uses well. The large instructions also double as a protective mat, because even being careful, it will drip places. Set smooth and level with a nice finish. Malleable 18-24 hours later. Set fully hard after 36 hours (used it all)
Used the resin to coat the 8mm diamanties to stop water damage at the back of our ensuite sink. Instead of boring silicon. I used a syringe to measure equal parts out then threw away the syringe. Mixed then brushed on. Resin had set within 24 hrs.
I had watched YouTube videos on how to use the resin. It was easy to use. The only thing I would say is the 2 cups that were included were really ideal. One measuring cups is great but one of them could have been slightly bigger with a pour could also have included some fine tips. (likes toothpick). Otherwise for a beginner it was good. Also the gloves were too baggy around the fingers. So it made it difficult to so intricate bits
This is a really good resin! I have so far used about 2 litres, the mixing time is short, it self levels, cures beautifully, and only produced 2 bubbles from the 2 litres which is amazing!!
The only reason i did not give it 5 stars is because its EXTRA sticky and takes forever to dry if it gets on your skin, even if you scrub it with warm soapy water and a sponge
did the job OK not sure about the 40 mins work time took around 12 hours to start curing
seemed like a good idea to try and do a table top with bottle tops , unfortunately i chose to start of big , resin reacted with what id used to stick down the tops
I make dnd dice as part of my living and I needed some more resin as I can’t get more of the stuff I normally buy from my local craft store. It’s very expensive for what it is, but it does the job better than any other resin I’ve tried.
It was very easy to mix, but it was very thick and had lots of bubbles.
The bubbles in my test disc have almost all come out, but I can’t say the same for my test dice as my moulds are opaque, I’ll get to that later though.
This product is probably a lot better for open-faced moulds because of how thick it is. It’s very hard to get into a pipette to put though the small sprews for dice moulds etc, but you get there eventually.
It sets nice and solid, and even though it’s currently much warmer than it usually is where I live, I found it had no problems with curing. However, the resin I used to use you could put in the oven for a few minutes to eliminate bubbles. This is not the case with this one, I learned that the hard way. If you heat this one up then it’ll bubble up and rapidly cure before the bubbles pop, leaving you with aero chocolate-like products.
It sets clear enough not to worry about though. Will show more photos when I get some dice I didn’t accidentally turn into d20 shaped pumice stone.
