After months of research and brainstorming, we came up with the idea of creating a clip-on lamp with detachable silicon head shapes.
We wanted to create a lamp that grows with your child, being both a cute design for early age and an office lamp for adolescence.
How we get our start?
During maternity leave, my partner and I came up with the idea of creating our Ergojojo lamp, based on the need to have a clip-on light design for kids’ room. After mounts of hard work, we finally managed to create our lamp!

Our lamps are child safe, cute & practical, with 6 brightness levels, curvy and clipable so the baby can be fed in any room they find comfortable.

Ordered this light for the next2me cot and I absolutly love it! By far the best purchase I’ve made so far! The light is dimmable to an ambitious level too. Highly recommended
I really like this light. It is lovely and dim for night time then easy to make it brighter for night feeds. The light gives a soft glow and I love how it attaches to my baby’s bedside cot as there is no table near it.

Fantastic combination of functionality and form. Looks great, nice soft adjustable light that our son loves. Helps him get off to sleep wonderfully.
I love this thing. We bought it for our son’s room as don’t have a bedside table or space on his shelf for a lamp so wanted a clip on. It gives off a lovely soft but bright light and looks really good. Along with his thermometer night light this will give enough light in the room to act as a side light when he gets older and is reading so I’m hoping it’ll last for a good few years to come. I initially thought they had sent it without a bulb but realised the lighting element is built in. Really pleased with this purchase.
My daugher had the old design which wasn’t robust enough. The new design is an improvement with the convenience of a remote and a timer.
Was skeptical about the price, but the light is a lovely design and very sturdy. The remote control is fantastic, and so helpful when wrangling night feeds and nappy changes with baby. Recommend
I think it will be helpful, I bought it to help me in taking care of my baby during feeding night.
You don’t have to use this for a baby, i find it as a very useful reading light that i can clip onto my bed. However the yellow light has a slight cold undertone and if your using it as a night light don’t expect it to be that warm toned, even though it has a yellow glow. Still very good tho i use it all the time and the remote control is great.
A lovely little lamp. Good customer service from seller who replaced a faulty item that broke after six weeks’ use.
V good quality, lots of different settings including a timer which was a nice surprise. Soft lighting and seems very robust.
This is such a great night light!
My son uses it to reas in bed every night. With the remote I can set it to turn off in 30 min but even if I were to forget it doesn’t get hot, so it’s not risky to have there.
Looks very cute as well!
his is just what I was looking for – clipped to the back of the bed it provides enough light for nighttime feeds of my newborn without disturbing her. the remote is very handy, and there’s also an in-line switch in case the remote is out of reach. It has a good strong metal clip and good flexibility for aiming.
Love the shape and the settings of brightness, you can time it and it switches off automatically! Has a little remote which is so handy and the light is great for reading! Lower setting is great if the kiddo is scared of dark! Only one thing i would say is that the head with the star is a bit too heavy so it doesn’t stay up , you need to wiggle it to the angle that make it stay in position rather than just drop down!

Without doubt the best Christmas present I received ! The ErgoJoJo light means I’m able to feed my little one without leaving the bed to find another source of light. The different brightness levels allow you to set the mood – I often make sure the lowest setting is on when feeding in the middle of the night to ease settling back in. Also love how aesthetic the light is ! A great addition to our room!

Really easy to use lamp for my 4 year old to turn on when he wakes up on a dark winter morning. Will still be great when he’s older and wants to use it to read I would imagine! The dimmer settings aren’t really important for us but do work great.
I will say the images look like the star ends up with an all-over soft glow whereas in person there is a defined circle of light in the middle. This hasn’t bothered us but may be a factor for others.
Overall, a great light and super easy to use!
Very easy to use, and having the clip for it to attach onto things makes it very helpful for finding a place to attach it, without it taking up side space.
The different brightness levels come in handy, I often put it to the dimmest setting when waking during the night.
Very tempted to get another , one for the nursery changing area and one for the next to me crib.
I didn’t opt for the extra heart shape cover for the red glow, as not sure how useful it’d be.
Bought these for my kids, aged four and six, to clip onto the headboards of their beds, instead of traditional bedside lamps. They love the design and the dimmer function, and the light emitted is about right for winding down to sleep time (possibly not quite bright enough for an older child wanting to read a book in bed). The USB cable is a bit odd; why not just a standard wall socket? Also, the box instructions tell me that you can depress and hold the switch for three seconds and it will switch off the lamp, but this doesn’t seem to be the case (although that wouldn’t be an essential feature anyway). You have to work your way through the brightness settings. Overall they are working well and making bedtime easier!
This is so cute! This is our second purchase of this as our first ones cable got snapped by a slightly overenthusiastic toddler – but it is well built. Completely bendable and clips on anywhere so really adjustable to fit anywhere in the room. My only issue is that this second purchase is very dim. Even the brightest setting is a bit difficult to read by (or maybe I’m just getting old!!) compared to our original purchase but it’s still a lovely little lamp
Having bought my daughter one of these for Christmas, my son had been desperate for one and had saved his pocket money to buy one. It is bright enough at the brightest setting and has really low brightness settings too. The function has been updated and improved since we got my daughters, you can still hold the button down to turn it off, but you can also click through the settings and turn it off that way which is easier for young children. It’s really easy to attach and they bend them into all sorts of shapes to fit them into ‘dens’ etc. Good product.
I’ve bought 3 Star nights lamps nearly a year ago. One for my 4 year old daughter as a bedtime reading lamp, one for my niece to serve a same purpose and one for me/my baby girl to change nappies in the night. All three were an incredible success. Girls love them and me too. It looks stylish in bedroom and serves the purpose perfectly.
Customer servis is excellent. One of the lamps stopped working recently. I contacted Ergo JoJo through Facebook. They answered straightaway and asked to send video showing the issue. I received a new lamp in a few days.
Why not five stars then? Main reason is that the cord could be longer. Another thing which could be improved is the clip. It has incredibly strong grip that squashes the padding which is there to protect surface of furniture it’s clipped on. I needed to put an extra padding otherwise I was afraid it might scratch the paint.
Overall I’m very happy with the product and would recommend it.
Minor issues: I think it is a bit overpriced to be honest, but I like the star design and bought it despite thinking this.
The USB wire is quite short. I bought this as a clip on lamp for my daughter’s top bunk. The wire needs an extender. Also the wire is black whilst the lamp is white. A white wire would be less noticeable and more aesthetically pleasing – who wants attention drawn to a black wire? An attention to detail I would have expected at this price point.
Finally, the switch is halfway down the wire and actually isn’t great to use – there is a bit of a knack to it. Again I would have expected better at this price point and would prefer a switch near the head of the lamp so she can switch it off in bed, which is the whole point of the clip on bedside light for a top bunk.
I suspect these issues have arisen because it is designed for a nursery not a top bunk. But they weren’t apparent from the description and it could be improved.
