Reasonably priced paper for watercolour painting It is the correct thickness for watercolou
I am a beginner in the watercolor arena but I will say that it is very good quality. Not too thin, so it doesn’t bleed through but thick enough. I have done both painting as well as normal pencil drawing/coloring and it works excellently for both.
For the price this is excellent value.
Although listed and described for watercolour don’t attempt wet washes, It buckles and bulges and is a total disaster. OK for pencil scetching and colouring but ANYTHING TOO Wet is a NO NO.
I use this for making my own painted letter/cards – folded in half then taped down it takes simple single layer semi-wet watercolour well. Plus I can write on it afterwards with my fountain pen (the 3 unpainted sides).
So, for this reason I like it and have bought more to make my own watercolour Christmas themed cards
I bought a pad for each of my sons, 9 and 11 years old, to use with their watercolour pencils.
Both of them have properly drenched their artwork. The paper has held its shape and texture well, I would say.
As one of the more affordable papers available on Amazon at the time, I wondered about quality but we’ve had no complaints. We have also used this paper for birthday cards to send to grandparents and other relatives.
I’ve no complaints with these whatsoever and will probably reorder these pads again shortly.
This paper is absolute trash when it comes to using it for watercolour painting. It buckles like nobodies business to the point where you get pools of paint gathering on the surface.
HOWEVER, for the price this us probably my favourite paper to use for graphite and colouring pencils so if that’s what you’re wanting it for then crack right on!
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter to keep her occupied during the COVID19 outbreak. She loves it and has been drawing lovely pictures for me. It comes with 40 pages and is massive. When we order it, we thought it would be A5 paper. When it came to our house, we realised that it was A4 (what we were hoping it would be). Altogether, this pad is good and worth the money. 🙂
Needed some paper so that my colours of the paintings wouldnt run everywhere and this paper is great for watercolour, a little expensive compared to some other brands but is worth it if you are going to be doing a lot of drawings!
