I have a long 5m version of this running from my avr to my projector and to begin with I had normal copper (i.e. non fibre-optic) hdmi cables going from my disc player to my avr and my Nvidia shield TV streamer to my avr. This was because the distance was short, only about 1m. Both were stated as being 4k uhd cables but occasionally the bottom of the picture would not be displayed.
Having changed both of the shorter hdmis for this one, I no longer have this issue.
Am I saying this is better than all hdmis sold on Amazon? No. I’m just saying that these work for uhd 4k content, which is not the case for all hdmis sold on Amazon.
4k at 60HZ HDR working at 12 meters.
All for a fraction of the price compared to other fibre optic HDMI cables.
Tried other cables that claimed they worked, but didn’t.
4k projector now works great with xbox series x.
Surprised how premium the cable looks and feels despite being so low profile.
Happy at last.
I purchased the 10m version. I’d previously bought a different brand, tested it and it worked, ran it through the ceiling before putting the ceiling up, ceiling went up, connected it and it failed. This one has now gone up and works perfectly. No delays, no drop outs and at a reasonable price compared to other optical cables too. If you’re running a HDMI cable over 7m and want 4k etc just get this. Works with my PS5 to the projector no problems.
eally good picture, no loss of quality that I can detect. note that the cable is directional and clearly marked.
really impressive, as I wasnt convinced a low signal power device such as a camcorder (compared to a DVD player) would transmit, let alone without loss of quality. durable and with the obvious bonus as it is fibre optic that it will not pick up inducted/magnetic interference from 240V mains cables
Given the difficulty of maintaining an 18Gb HDMI connection over 10m, it’s a relief that anything works reliably at all at under 50. This one does. Image quality – particularly motion processing artefacts – are slightly improved over lesser cables at shorter lengths, too – but most importantly this is confirmed as a reliable signal cable in the most demanding scenarios 2020 offers. Recommended.
Bought the 20m version and have this connected via a switch/splitter to an LG 4k UHD TV. Am able to set sky to 2160p 10-bit and the picture is perfect without any flickering or interference.
My old 20m HDMI 1.4 active cable wasn’t up to the job of sending a UHD signal over this distance so I’m ecstatic that this works perfectly.
I was getting issues with my HDMI cable. I stubled over this and i can definately say this made a improvement to my existing HDMI cable i had. These are very well made solid connectors and very flexible for those hard to reach areas.
I have never had a issue with these and any problems the customer service is first class!! if you want a QUALITY fibre optic cable forget the others and choose a trusted one from a genuine seller.
Do not expect a picture improvement unless your current hdmi leads are damaged.
This lead is great however for 4k 60hz over a long distance, no complaints there and reasonably priced in comparrison to the competition
4.5 stars
Like: Simply does the job – I have it connected from TV BOX to VIDEO PROJECTOR that is placed about 5 mts. away.
Very good picture. – Be aware that ends matter. There is a IN end and an OUT end. Source and Display. They
must be connected correctly. This is an HDMI OPTICAL FIBER cable. – Very flexible and really good.
After several weeks of research of HDMI cables that claimed to work PS4 pro but actually did not when I tried, I finally found the one. I needed to use a splitter to get a picture for my video projector and sound for my sound bar and the cable works with it. The cable is rather thin and quite flexible. I just find it a bit expensive
The 15m amazon basics failed miserably for 4k hdr over 15m so onto the next a Linkin perk 15m fibre optic cable this also failed over 15m so on to the next the Aztebe 15m fibre optic cable, guess what failed also.
So i hooked this up not expecting much and to my suprise it performed like a champ. tested an Odroid N2 with 4k hdr Atmos/Dts X all played fine, same with my htpc all 4k hdr atmos files played fne, Netflix 4k hdr atmos from my Gaming pc played fine, and importantly gaming at 4k Hdr @60fps worked fine tested Shadow of the Tomb Raider which is one of the few pc games that runs in hdr and has an atmos sound option and it worked no ptoblems. tested another 3 games fine. So to sum up no artifacting no unduly long handshake issues flawless performance after 3 failiures at 15meters, not the cheapest but my next step would of been to try the 120 gbp ruipro or ugreen fibre hdmi cables, so in that context i’ve got to be happy
It payed off nicely!
If you need to send HDMI 2.0 over long distance, this cable is amazing value – substantially cheaper than alternatives being sold today. Connected the 20m length at maximum speed between an Apple TV and Nvidia Shield via a Marantz processor at 4K HDR 60Hz 4:2:2 with no problems. The cable connectors seem very robust. The transmitter end plug becomes hot during use, but there have been no stability problems. Played several HDR movies continuously to test. Written 28/12/19. Will update if problems occur.
No such issues now.
Cable comes beautifully packaged in a presentation box, 3 velcro wire ties included. Suprisingly thin and easy to route.
With the cable being fibre optic I was able to purchase the 15M cable to allow for future repositioning, if required.
Overall very impressed, quality product.
The player and projector sync up very quickly compared to my previous non-fibre optic HDMI cable which only worked with HD not 4K/UHD. Further the old cable was considerably thicker and therefore more difficult to route under the carpet compared to the FeizLink cable. I was also very pleased price wise, the FeizLink cable being around half the price of my old cable.
Picture quality is excellent and I have had no stability issues with the new cable whatsoever.
Very pleased and highly recommended.
I had an issue with my first cable, and after contacting the seller, I was sent a replacement without any issues, and speedy delivery. Definitely worth it, for the home-cinema enthusiast!
Update: I did buy another one to replace the feed from the Apple Tv to the receiver. Works great – coils up neatly. Just a great, no hassle product. Just be sure to take note of the source & display orientation – the cable has to be plugged in with the correct direction of data travel. That said it’s written on either end so it’s not too hard to set up.
We’ve recently upgraded our home cinema (living room) projector, and had some challenges optimizing our new equipment. This review is for our new projector, but also for this cable which has finally helped us solve our biggest challenge. We replaced our 9 year old Optoma HD20 projector with the Optoma UHD300X projector, which increased our lumens from 1700 to 2200 (very helpful for the ambient light environment in our living room). The UHD300x is also 4K HDR which is a huge improvement in clarity and detail from our older model. To be honest, we sometimes just stare at the new picture in disbelief – it is THAT good! The 250,000:1 contract ratio is not even in the same league with the 4,000:1 contrast of our old unit. The perceived depth between objects, the way fabrics appear and move, facial textures and hair details, dark and night scenes, fast action, nature, animation…even Friends in HD Fromm Netflix is simply stunning! The colors are astonishing and SO RICH. Even the velvet sofa in Central Perk…a noticeable difference. We’ve only had it a month but so far, everything just looks so much better in every way. Ups along from blu-ray, or even DVD is really impressive too. Planet Earth II in 4K HDR is breathtaking.
Setup and basic calibration were simple.
Our 4K source is a new Apple TV 4K, and although i wont review it here, it is a great device too!
Our issues started almost immediately when switching between HDMI HD and HDMI 4K on the projector inputs. We would get a half-screen image, a black screen with audio, or sometimes a flickering screen. Most could be resolved by shutting down the projector and waiting 30 seconds or so to power it up again. Not big stuff, but not what you hope for with new kit. It seemed to happen more often after using the 4K content and either switching to a different app on the Apple TV, or switching to Blu-Ray. On the Apple TV faults, the dropped signals, black or half or flickering screens happened mostly when a tv episode would end and the next would auto-play in apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime. It seemed like the box dropped the signal for a split second, but then passing that slight drop over the 5m cable to the projector was enough of a signal gap to cause the projector to display those faulty images.
Our first cable was a 3m KabelDirekt slim series high speed HDMI. It worked pretty well and had very few drops except with Amazon Prime. Dropping my chroma settings to 4:2:0 helped the flickering and dropouts, but they still happened during every watching period… I also mismeasured and ordered 3m instead of 5m. My bad.
Replacing that cable with the exact same spec and model but in the 5m length produced no signal at all. Tried several tests and couldn’t get it to pass any signal at all. Amazon refund, fair play to them for that.
I next tried the Lindy Anthra high speed HDMI in 5m. This is a much thicker cable than the slim KabelDirekt and was very well made and sturdy! I was able to turn my chroma back to 4:4:4 and this cable passed the full 4K HDR content brilliantly. Very occasional black screens or half screens, but still most common with Amazon Prime. Although this was a big improvement, we still noticed a good bit of lag when switching content, and still had occasional sparkles and flashes on the screen. I feared that my 5m distance was just too long to pass enough data at the necessary speed. We even installed a high speed Ethernet cable directly between our Virgin media hub and our Apple TV. Super fast +200mbps connection eliminated any WiFI faults…
This FeizLink cable had caught my attention as I researched possible solutions, but I was determined not to spend the extra money unless it was necessary. When the robust Lindy cable still showed those faults (again, much less than the other cables) I ordered this fiber optic HDMI. Arrived well packaged and seemed well made and yet quite flexible. (Before purchasing I asked questions on Amazon and heard back from the seller almost immediately, which was very helpful.) Short ending to long story: problems sorted. Finally! No dropouts, no half screens, no artifacts or sparkles! I think the picture is even sharper than with the Lindy cable. Still an occasional issue with auto play on Amazon, but nothing else.
I may add that all the cables were rated at at least 18.2Gps and capable of 4K HDR at full chroma. I also tried using some 90 degree angle HDMI adapters, but noticed signal issues immediately with them, so returned them.
I’m no expert, just a guy who really likes quality home cinema. I tried to be careful and methodical with my research and choices and installation. In my experience the Optoma UHD300x projector, Apple TV 4K, and this 5m Feislink HDMI cable provides an excellent solution for my home cinema upgrade. People using a close-by TV for 4K or a more expensive projector may have no need for this product. But this cable helped us solve our long distance, 4K HDMI issues brilliantly. A 10-12 ft 4K HDR image is really quite extraordinary!
I will update this review later if any issues in performance or durability should arise.
I hope this review will be helpful to others in similar situations.
I installed the 10m cable to my 4k HDR Projector and the 5m cable from my Oppo 203 UHD Blu Ray Player to my Arcam AVR850 AV Receiver.
The Projector HDMI synced really fast, faster than my previous HDMI setup and I tested the cables all the way up to 4K 60FPS 12 bit and 4.4.4 Chroma and this all seemed to work with no hiccups which is astonishing because that is above the 18Gbs specification.
The cables come nicely packaged – they are very slim line so easy to install out of sight.
The HDMI Connectors where all the “magic” happens are no bigger than you would expect from a quality HDMI cable and are also slimline.
So far everything is working perfectly and I cant ask for anymore than I am getting.
Very nice product at a very reasonable price for what you get with potential for future proofing as well – very highly recommended
