Ho cominciato ad usare Finis Swimmer’s Snorkel e devo dire di trovarmi molto bene. Durante l’allenamento si controlla meglio la postura e, per chi come me, ha problemi alla zona cervicale, si riduce lo stress al collo.

On first exam looks good. Used to have snorkel with face piece but since I only need it for swimming I think this is better. First time I went to adjust head strap the TINY plastic lug broke on one side of clip! Couldn’t be bothered returning so wrapped tape around it, to keep in place and see how that works Someone else mentioned same problem, and it’s disappointing.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFrom reading reviews I thought it might take me a while to find a comfortable swim snorkel and get used to using one.
However I found this great. Really comfortable and easy to use.
It’s a great length, no water has come in at all, but it doesn’t feel heavy or in my way at all.
The mouthpiece seems about the right size and feels perfectly comfortable in my mouth for 45 minutes or more that I swim. I seem to be able to breathe plenty of air in easily through the tube size.
The head rest, I’ve not had any problems with it being fairly hard, it is well shaped and feels fine over my swim cap, which I guess adds a thin extra layer of silicone for it to sit on. It stays in place perfectly comfortably. I found the head strap easy to make tighter but really hard to loosen, but got there in the end.
Some swim snorkels have twist mechanisms to move the mouthpiece away from your mouth, but I find I can push it to one side perfectly easily if I need to drink or talk.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI swim against a current in an indoor pool (Endless Pools Fastlane machine) and have been using a normal mask and side snorkel, this was getting annoying because I kept hitting the snorkel with my hand when doing front crawl (not the best of swimmers) and also the current hitting it knocked me off course meaning I was constantly correcting also if I faced straight downwards the current would cause splashback in the snorkel so I’d often be blowing the mouthpiece clear. With my arthritis these problems were giving me a constantly sore neck.

This swimmers front snorkel has fixed all those problems. I swim straight without constantly course correcting. I can face directly downwards so I don’t stress my neck, and I don’t hit the snorkel when swimming. Bonus, it fits even when wearing a dive mask (came with original snorkel) so no need for uncomfortable goggles or nose clip. I admit I was concerned there was no float valve to prevent water coming down the tube if submerged, but as I only surface swim that hasn’t been an issue, and in fact I can breathe more easily with apparently more air coming down the tube. The tube is longer than a normal snorkel which is probably why I don’t have to hold my head even slightly up. The purge valve looks more sophisticated than on a standard snorkel and I don’t know if it just drains by itself or if I’ve just never had any water come down the tube – either way I haven’t had to waste breath blowing it clear.

It does seem very expensive for what it is, but it does what I want it to do, and after 6 weeks of swimming 5 or 6 times a week I’m still very pleased with it.

The snorkel is fantastic. A real game changer for me because I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for me to swim and breathe with my head down in the water. This snorkel solved my problem 100%. However, you need to be aware that not all public swimming pools will allow you to use it so check before you buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for snorkeling in Hawaii and it worked great! I have several pairs of prescription goggles leftover from my days as a synchronized swimmer so I was happy to be able to use them with this snorkel. The strap that fits it to your head stayed snug even when pummeled by whitecaps. Also, the tube that runs right between the eyes did not interfere with visibility.

Two things to note, though: the strap that goes across your forehead could use more padding for comfort. And if you’re wearing this snorkel with goggles, also use a nose clip or your sinuses will fill with water even if you don’t try to inhale through your nose. The Pacific was my accidental neti pot on our first snorkeling adventure with this gear but a nose clip fixed it on later outings.

A great tool when executing swim drills. Takes away complexities ob breathing when focussing on other areas. I recommend using with a nose clip and a swim cap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a game changer! Perfect for those who want to get the lengths in. After not swimming for awhile one of the hardest parts to retrain is the breathing between strokes and this can lead to muscle fatigue due to lack of oxygen. Before this I was doing 50-100m and then struggling to regain my breathing/heart rate and then the increased muscle/cardio fatigue would increasingly effect the rest of my swim. Using this I have completed 2 sessions of 1Km each in roughly 30-40mins. Takes the holding the breath element away allowing you to power through the laps for a good workout. I will be buying a nose clip as without the water does go up your nose and the chlorine does tend to irritate the sinuses. Either routinely breathing out through the nose or a nose clip will prevent this. The rubber pad on the forehead is a bit hard and could have a bit of padding but no discomfort is noticed when swimming. I positioned mine how I wanted it to sit and then marked it above and below with permanent marker so I don’t have to set up each time.

My 9 yr old is in a swimming club and needed this. She is quite delicate featured and this fits her well but has room for growth! She raved about it after her first use. I got the yellow so it was easier to hand on if ever needed.

First front snorkel I’ve ever used and I love it. Can’t compare to others I’m afraid. The forehead plate is uncomfortable after an hour but a headband snood should sort that. Yes. Impressed

I like it! Really helps me swim as I have a sore neck and this allows me to keep a steady pace up without having to move my neck too much which would usually happen as I breath. Haven’t had any problems with fitting it or using it.

Works better than i hoped. Enables me to practice flutter kicks and arm movements without the additional difficulty of side breathing.
i can breath through the mouth with no issues. If only front crawl was this easy!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIve been using the finis swimmer snorkel now for 8 years and decided to buy a new one because after 8 loyal years i felt it might be healthier to replace it even though it worked fine and still had all its orginal parts. What a good decision! To my surprise, this version is significantly lighter and really quiet, so much so I needed a small a adjustment period as the difference was marked. The finis snorkel is an essential part of my kit, infact the most essential part and Im an delighted with the changes. I do wonder though, will this lighter version last as long. it does everything its designed to and more.

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersOh swimmers snorkel, where have you been all my life??? This device has totally changed my lap swimming experience. I feel like Dory the fish and I can Just Keep Swimming lap after lap after lap. I get so much more exercise in the pool thanks to using the snorkel. My teen daughter thinks I look like a dork but I got over that pretty quick as soon as I tried it out. If you’re considering a snorkel for lap swimming, just get one. You will love it (and if everyone else uses them I won’t be the only weirdo at the pool using a snorkel that all the little kids point at). I did think it was hard and uncomfortable on the forehead at first, but once I got in the water I realized I could really loosen the strap a lot so it didn’t put pressure on my head. The strap just needs to be tight enough to keep it from moving back and forth in the water. Turns out that it doesn’t need to be tight at all. It’s easy to purge if needed, but I rarely find any water gets in there. I’m so glad I finally got me of these after years of contemplating it (I’m cheap). Totally worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a flash piece of kit!
My 9 year old is all proud. This is the junior snorkel!
Finis have a clever video on their website about this snorkel that shows you the ins and outs and purpose.
Minor issues are perhaps that you can only get the junior in yellow, that the included nose clip can easily be lost as there is nowhere to put it, and that the curved plastic bar that rests against your bony forehead is a bit hard but it seems not too bad if it’s over the swim hat.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI swim 3x a week, at a 50 meter pool, for 30 minutes–pretty much non-stop swimming. I have no problem swimming for a longer period of time, except then my neck gets stiff and painful the next day. When I went to see a chiropractor, his first question was, do I swim. It seems that by turning my head, and keeping it out of the water (yes, bad form, but I got used to swiming that way)– I was straining my neck needlessly.

One day I saw a swimmer in one of the faster lanes, with a snorkel, gliding effortlessly through the water. I looked on Amazon, and saw this product, and decided to order it, based on the positive reviews. Several weeks later, I saw the swimmer again, and got a closer look and saw that he also had the Finis snorkel.

I’ve only used the snorkel once, as our pool was closed for maintenance for a month, and just reopened yeseterday. I was a bit apprehensive at first, how the breathing would work, bumping into other swimmers, etc.,But the headgear was not at all uncomfortable, and I had much better peripheral vision than I had expected. I did wear a nose plug, and swim goggles (not full face mask), so the breathing and swimming was very smooth.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis snorkel is great for competitive swimmers on a swim team! At first however, you need to take time to not choke on water. I have had this product for about 2-3 months, and use it almost daily.

When doing a flipturn, if you don’t hold your breath and then blow the water out of the snorkel aggressively, you will choke on the water when trying to inhale- I learned this the hard way. The only main problem is choking on water when you first using it, and that eventually goes away!

The long tube bends and allows for water to come in when you push off the wall aggressively, so you need to be careful about that.

The price was definitely a plus, and was recommended by fellow swimmers (I know of other brands that sell snorks, but none were said to be as good as this one). The wear and tear is outstanding- it looks and works as if it’s new. My whole team uses only Finis Snorkels, and for good reason.

It really is a great product, you just need to become accustomed to it. A+ product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI would recommend this item, I am very pleased with it.. The snorkel is as expected and arrived well within the promised timescale. It was also well wrapped in bubble wrap.

I need to work on my leg kicks (medical reasons) and bought this as an aid for drills. It took a little getting used to (on a metaphorical suck it and see basis – sorry), but all was fine after a few lengths. I’d not come across this type of purge valve before and it was a bit of a surprise first time out. A bit more detail on this feature, on the packaging or instructions, would be welcome. The instructions provided suggest that a nose clip might be necessary, I found in my case that it was very necessary to avoid non voluntary sinus irrigation.

A bit of friendly advice to avoid disappointment. If you are going to use this item for drills and training in the public pool you might find it a good idea to speak with pool management/lifeguards first. My own local pool does not generally allow the use of snorkels etc., during public sessions but are minded to be very reasonable if you discuss it first and have a good reason. At the end of the day, it is your safety they have in mind. It also helps to fit in if you pick the appropriate lane and even better if it is a relatively quiet session.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood innovative product. Even for more experienced swimmers wanting to prove particular aspects such as kicking or arm swinging. Isolating the action from the need to breathe above water surface helps you focus and relax better than I initially expected.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSuper Schnorchel.

I found this to be great. It allowed me to focus on my ‘front crawl’ superbly. It had a strap so you can attach it to your head over your goggles, which I did without a problem. There is a small valve at the bottom which you can press to allow any liquid to exit. I found the angle of which the snorkel is made to be unobtrusive whilst doing my swim. This is due to the snorkel being designed to go on the front of your face, rather than the side like quite a lot of other snorkels.

    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic product!! I regret not buying this months ago. Finally I can concentrate on my strokes and ignore the problems with breathing and how that interrupts my rhythm.
Works great with either a diving mask or goggles and nose clip. (The diving mask is MUCH more comfortable).
I’ve not had any water enter the snorkel and this is swimming against an Endless Pool current machine.
Amazingly, you can rotate the snorkel around and still wear it for backstroke.

Get one … if you enjoy swimming, and are finding your breathing interfering with your enjoyment or stamina, this is THE solution.

    Absolutely brilliant!
