Love these. Wasn’t aware you have to turn them on though! Good job my partner knew! They look great, lovely subtle flickering. I thought they were taller but I don’t think I read all the details correctly! Still, they look grea
First they sit on a long pole so placing within flowers is not an issue
Second…battery’s were flat and although only been in the sun 4hrs are twinkling away nicely
For
Garden solar lights these are well made and love there’s 6 of these
Ordered these in Jan 23 easy to assemble & very effective, unfortunately 1 stopped working in August ( could have been earlier as we were away for a few months) contacted the seller & after sending a photo in item was replaced no hassle great customer service
Bought some as a gift and some for myself. Nice little lights but not quite as bright as the pictures would lead you to believe – still good value for money. They add a soft, warming effect to the garden, best viewed from a distance.
These lights are very impressive.
They light up at dusk and last well into the night are are very bright.
The effect is lovely, a really nice bright flickering light.
Very impressed and will buy more when I’ve decided where to put them.
Have lots of these, this size and bigger. A lovely flame effect and they stay lit for many hours.
We leave them our through the winter and still light up a bit.
Even though they are the smaller versions, they are wonderful. Withstand large down pours and spray from pressure washer,( I forgot to move them out of the way.) They stay lit into the wee hours. I was a bit sceptical about buying them , haven’t had much luck with solar lights dying on me , really glad I did though.
I was just saying today how amazed I am that these lights are still working perfectly – all 4 of them – after 2 (typically wet) winters! It’s pretty unheard of in my experience so I thought I’d buy some more and leave a review to let everyone else know how good they are! While all my other solar lights have died off gradually, these “torches” are still going strong every single day. They don’t “light” an area as such – they are more of a decorative light and just have a nice glow and do flicker realistically. They aren’t cheap but I seem to end up having to replace “cheap” solar lights every year anyway! I bought these in November 2021 and it is now May 2023 and they still look like new!
Not bright bright but look good around our caravan at night to show we’re guide ropes are for the awning stakes into ground a bit flimsy broke 2 but can still push them into ground would buy again though
I really like these lights although they are not overly bright they are the same as dying embers in a fire just flickering away in the night thats why they got 4 stars, as for longevity iv put 3 stars as iv no idea how long they will last me i do hope for quite some time yet as they look really cool, just remember to switch them on first though, i have mine fastened to my curved wall in the back garden, i keep going to look at them as i love these lights, i have a bit extra to say i bought another 6 pack i have 1 light from each pack seems to be a bit tempramental as just a few gours after lighting up they start to die out while the rest all flickering away couple times iv had to get up in night for bathroom n looked out bedroom window n these 2 lights are out that leaves 10 still going can any bidy tell me if i can get buy these one at a time ! .
These just arrived (6:30pm) so no chance to actually test the brightness etc (still need a topup charge) but easy to put together & we’ll still have to see how long they actually last
When they arrived however I was a little concerned by the size of the parcel & when I opened up found the actual lamps were smaller than expected. The description stated size as 12L x 12W x 53H so I expected it to be 12cm at the widest width of the lamp.. Its not – its only ~8cm so I think this has to made a bit cleare
These look well made and rated as waterproof and you get eight in a pack . I bought these for a friend for her birthday to light up her garden path . They are more for decoration than brightness but the light they give off is enough to guide you along the path at night . The switch to turn each of the lights on is very small to see and feel and you twist the top off and it is on the base ( hard to find ) All in all they are good value for money being eight of them .
Researched many different makes before selecting these, they were delivered 1 day early, immediately they were assembled, switched on and put straight into the garden to top up the charge, when darkness fell on came the flickering flame effect, much to the alarm of my wife who knew nothing about the purchase and thought something was on fire in the garden, not particularly bright enough to illuminate nearby plants but that doesn’t matter, its the moving display, a world away from the boring static Poundshop lights, I love them, my next step is to flood the union of the lamps outer cage where it meets the switch case, there is a sizeable gap where the wire enters the switch case, with clear outdoor silicon in an attempt to prevent water intrusion rotting the switch, apparently this is the light’s Achilles Heel
Hardly surprising that at this time of year with a very low sun and much cloudier conditions the duration of the flicker is only down to a couple of hours at best before the battery is drained , which means by 6pm they are dead, but take into account there are 96 LEDs, possibly 40 being lit at any one time for the flicker effect, its a lot for a small battery to supply.
So happy with the display I ordered another pair
I had one light that my attempt at waterproofing failed, as I suspected the switch was the fault, removed all 7 tiny screws to split the case, cut the wires at the switch, spliced & soldered the twin wires and voila, light working again, I repeated this process with the rest of the lights, totally eliminating the switches which actually are not an essential part, as a result 3 years on, all the lights are faultlessly working every day, it could be as little as an hour in winter but come Summer they stay lit until the dawn activates the sensor
Recently the coating on the solar panel has started to flake, like a peeling suntan, I just brushed off the loose flakes and gave it a coat of clear yacht varnish, seen to have done the trick
