A large robust plate that I used for BBQ and salads. Accommodate good quantity of food. Obviously more expensive than cardboard/paper alternative but they were bigger, more rigid and stronger than paper alternative – No floppy plates. More like a ceramic plate than disposable one. You could easily wipe over & clean up to reuse depending on food/use. I would buy again for buffet, BBQ, or hot food like jacket spuds and rice, pasta, chilli dishes etc
had a big family gathering used these plates very sturdy took hot and cold food, no problems when using knives and afterwards just threw them away in recycling bin no washing up brillia
Bought various items from this company, mostly because I wanted something a little more interesting than the standard white paper plate party accessories. They are beautiful to look at, sturdy, size was perfect and had lots of remarks on just how useable and aesthetically pleasing they were. They arrived the next day as promised. Really cannot fault them, would definitely use them again. Bio degradable, kind to the environment and potentially reusable.
Great sturdy plates for a big family bbq, Cur way down on the washing up and they worked a treat even with wet things like rice and salads with dressings on.
I expected the product to be a bit stronger and heavier than what it actually was. A bit overpriced too. It didn’t serve my purpose but it may very well fulfill others’
Bought for a bbq as wanted disposable plates for outside. Very sturdy. The plates were a good size and were slightly deeper than others. This meant they could be used for dessert as well and saved having to buy separate bowls. Everyone at bbq was impressed with them. Had to buy pack of 25 although this was more than needed. Might be an idea to sell them in smaller packs as well. That said I now have some for later.
One tiny con: If the plate is heavily-laden with food, be sure you either carry it with two hands, or if you’re holding it with one hand, don’t allow your thumb to push into it with the grain… out of the 25, on ONE occasion, I almost split the plate with the grain of the palm leaves. It’s really easy to see which way the grain is running, so just hold the plate perpendicular to it.
I used plastic and paper plates in the past, but these bamboo ones are much stronger than any other disposable plates. We used metal knives for cutting the meat and the plates held up really well.
We conveniently tossed it along with the food waster knowing that the plates will not harm the environment in any way.
I will be buying this more and I will encourage to do the same.
