Really useful tool, and every home should have one. I had a blocked bathroom sink. Spent time trying to unblock it using traditional methods, those did not work.
Decided I would invest in this before I called out a expensive plumber. Unscrewed the u Ben under the sink and used the kit.
All repaired now..
After literally years of pouring sink unblockers down the drain, we got this and managed to remove a lot of gunk which was causing the blockage. Did the trick brilliantly and with little effort.
I live with women with long beautiful hair. 2 girls and 1 wife to be precise. They all agree they do not wash hair down the plughole of the shower yet what happens? Yip… plughole gets filled with long hair. Its not me that does it because a) I don’t and b) Don;t gots long hair. Anyhoo… long story short I wasted far to much of my life trying to figure out what tool I needed of these 3 to sort out my shower pipe. I then found this. All 3 for a decent price. I rolled the dice and bought them. They arrived. I was excited. In the back of my mind i thought (these will be no good as the others were more expensive and guess what??) I was wrong. All the tools are brilliant. The orange jaggy things are *chefs kiss* and don’t get me started on the bendy metal thing with blue handle… ah man; right up there with the best metal thing with blue handle I’ve ever bought. I now have a clear shower pipe. How many of you can say that? Just buy them. They are deece.
Effective in removing clumps of hair from the plug hole. Not sure what use the long bendy wire one will be, but quality seems okay, just can’t see how it would work. The orange ones will likely be used mos
Brought this as bath water was draining slowly. Used the the orange one with the hooks omg the hair that it got out of the drain was unreal! Water drains much quicker now!
I used one of the orange jagged strips and it drew the hair out straight away. The cleanup was a bit gross as you might expect, but not too bad and it is ready to use again. The handbasin now runs better than I have every seen it before!
Had a blockage in the bath drainpipe, the plastic tool worked straight away clearing the blockage of built up hair – if you need something along the same lines then I’d 10/10 recommend this!
This product was easy to use and really did a good and quick job to unblock my drain. I had been using products and a plunger for a while but was unsuccessful with them all. It can be tricky pulling the orange unblocker out of the drain with the teeth of the unblocker catching on the rim of the drain but its really not an issue. Great product!
Decent product although some parts were too big to fit down any of the plug holes in my house. Others did fit, but were a little hard to pull back up. However, we did remove a good amount of hair from the bathroom plug hole.
A set of tools that are each designed to work in a different way and under slightly different conditions; they also differ in their reach. The flexible plastic tools can be used to remove sludge that can block a drain or sink but they have limited reach. The rose and chain can trap long hairs in a bathroom sink or shower but is hit-or-miss.
The other two can be used to either pull-out or push-through the more solid blockages that may include food food residues remaining on plates or cookware with in a greasy sludge. There is no certainty that they will work every time but have worked, sometimes. Unfortunately, neither is usable where there is a trap or other such filter over the drain-hole but, if it can be temporarily removed, then there is a chance but it depends on the size and shape of any grating etc below.
As many local councils recommend NOT using relatively strong acids or alkalis such as caustic soda, this kit may be the sole remaining option although a handful or two of washing soda crystals followed by a cupful of white vinegar is worth a try for grease-based blockages which it may loosen or soften.
A really useful kit for unblocking your sink. There are tools that will grab items out of an open plug hole, tools that will extend around the u-bend and tools for removing hair from the plug hole pipe and u-bend.
They certainly came in useful for for me by unblocking my en-suite sink, removing a dental brush cap that had fallen down the plug, scraping out the u-bend and removing clogged hair from the pipe (sounds nasty).
My only concern is the longevity of some of the items, I have no complaints at present but time will tell.
