The battery life is about a year. It has a switch on the back to change between farenheit and celcius. Could be used by anyone who keeps reptiles as pets as would be great for monitoring vivarium temperatures.
Just replaced my 12 + Year Old Freezer with Erratic temperature variation and decided I would purchase a new Thermometer at the same time as Freezer replacement.
I’m delighted to say, at such great value, the peace of mind is good by keeping an eye on the operating Temperature at around minus 20 Degrees.

Reviews are requested far too soon after receipt and time is needed to assess before reviewing, one day just isn’t sensible. However, the thermometer seems OK and should serve its purpose.
Arrived quickly. As described by seller. Feels cheap. At 7c my ice cream is solid and difficult to scoop!!! My fridge freezer is new so don’t think this is working properly,!!
I have only had for 2 days, so I can’t comment on longevity (as other reviews warn about short battery life or sudden malfunction). I have not tested how accurate the temperature readings actually are, however they are well within the range I need. For the price, I can’t complain. It does come off the hanging sucker device easily so I don’t use it hanging and just place on the fridge shelf. Will test it in a different fridge to compare, however if you want a very accurate reading I’m guessing this is too basic to provide that!
Handy gadget, not overly priced, that give me a rough idea on the inner fridge/freezer temp. Am not convinced that they are exactly accurate but close enough for my needs.
