Brilliant game, so much fun, makes you cry, so funny
What a fantastic game, brought for all the family to play over Christmas and it had us in stitches for hours! Got it on a lightening offer but it’s worth the full price, haven’t found a game so good in years! Can be for all ages, the youngest playing in our family was 9 years old and the eldest at the time was 61.
I got this as a Secret Santa gift and it seemed to go down well.
This was a Christmas present for my son & his wife .. so yet to learn if they like it
But I know it will be perfect for them
As they like to entertain & love playing board games with friends
Bought for my hubby at Christmas. Hilarious family game. We had such fun with it. The rules are a little complicated, but once you have the hang of it, it’s a great after dinner distraction from the washing up!
We played this game having never played it before, was really easy to set up and get to grips with the instructions as they were clear as easy to understand….as soon as we picked up the first card the laughter started and just did not stop! And I mean full belly, tears, crossing your legs so you don’t wet yourself laughing! The funniest game I have played in a long time! Well worth the money!
I really enjoyed playing this with a group of mixed ages, though it is more for children. We did laugh a lot & it brought us all out of our shell. You wouldn’t play it with just a group of adults though! Very easy to learn & great fun for a party of enough people. (I’d say at least 6 for 2 teams of 3).
I love the game. It’s unique. The accents are brill. The contortionist too. My criticism is that there are too many group plays. You need a very big family to do that – there’s 6 of us and we found that difficult! Good game though. Wishe there were more charades questions. Or maybe draw with your opposite hand – rather than your mouth.
Bought as a “house gift” to the Christmas hosts this year, it was a massive gamble as to whether it would go down or not. Being a fully eclectic mix of demography and 14 in numbers, it was a pure acid test. There were genuine reluctance’s from those that thought Gin Rummy a bit risqu! But within minutes there was much raucous laughter and high dudgeon within the teams. The absolute unpredictability of what the next challenge will hold is the beauty of this game. I’m now a fully functioning spy thanks to this game! The write ups were bang on! It truly is “SUCH FUN”
Bought this for my son (22 year old) as part of his christmas presents. We loved it so much that when he returned to his home in London with the game we order one for for us to have. You play in teams but it is only one person who wins at the end of the game. We bought the expansion pack as well because we had played a lot and some of the cards where beginning to come round again. We played with 7 people which was still good fun but I think it would be better with more people and bigger teams. Also the cards asking the teammates to say some words while someone has to guess who is speaking would be better with people you don’t know very well as we could easily work out who was speaking. Maybe if we had had more people playing it might of been harder to guess.
Got this game for a Christmas, our family love board games, and have every major one… our verdict, great fun one of the best, easy enough rules, lots of funny tasks etc, got the younger members particularly in stitches…definitely one of our favourites in recent years and highly recommended…new good board games are hard to find, lots face it most of us are still regularly playing games from the 1930’s for just that reason… the one caution, you do have to be somewhat outgoing to play it, not mind making a bit of a fool of youselves etc…two members of my family are quite shy, one refused to play, the other hated it, and you could see it was because they were embarrassed… so that’s something to think of if you are that type of person…I imagine a couple of drinks helps that along maybe? I would also like to add, game looks good, great design, cards, board etc….
Bought this in for the Christmas period and was hoping it would be a fun, easy to play game that suited all ages. We only managed to play it a few times as we were very busy but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it when we did play and we know it is a game that we will be playing at every opportunity for some time to come. Really can’t think of enough good things to say about it, its that good. Was a little disappointed to find the “Bank Credit” cards missing when we opened the box but we quickly made some of our own to use and it was just a little bit inconvenient, not a fun killer. I contacted the seller direct and they were very apologetic. They offered to re-send the whole game, which was good of them, but we did not need them to do that so we agreed they would send just the cards that were missing. These arrived quickly and we now have them ready for the next time we play the game. Great game, great customer service. What more can you ask for ?
Fun family game, lots of laughing involved!! We are big on board games in our house and this is a welcome addition to the collection, however we do tend to get a little bored half way through playing and tend to give up (not through lack of cards, but some of the cards/tasks take a little while to complete). We’re also a tad confused on the rules as, in teams you collect money by moving up the board, but individuals get money too, so we assume there is one overall winner based on money as opposed to a team winning. Not sure if we’re supposed to play it this way, but we find it more fun as even though you’re in teams it’s fun to be competitive even with your team member! Overall a good, fun, quirky game that I would recommend.
We love board games and were looking for a new game for this Christmas. we were not disappointed. I had not heard of this game before but went off the reviews. We played 4 teams of three which added to the fun and laughter. We laughed non stop for the first 2 hours and the only reason I have not given it 5 stars is that we did find after a while that some of the cards were repetitive. You are told not to shuffle the cards and after playing for a while you can see why. The cards tend to run in a similar type of order i.e. miming, making up a rap, action etc. So it is a good tip not to shuffle. A couple of drinks on an adult night adds to the fun! Seeing someone who does not act trying to act out being a caterpillar whilst making the sound of an elephant is hilarious. Then after succeeding in winning the money for doing something outrageous, the next card or person may take it all away!! You do have to have people who will give things a go to make the game a success.
I bought this for Christmas as we had the whole family over (15 in total) and wanted a new game to play, this sounded right up our street. The age range of us was from 14 – 80! It was fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and the sound of laughter didnt stop throughout the game! My sister had to write a chant for cheerleaders and it was so funny (bad) that we all just chant it to her every time we see her!! Memories were definitely made that day! It did take quite a while to play however on another occasion also equally hilarious we managed to get through the board quicker.
Well done the creators of this game, I love it.I would like to be able to get new questions as once we have gone from them all it would be good to have new challenges.
Hurry up and design a new game for us to play for this Christmas!!
Having read the reviews, I bought this game for my 13yr old for Christmas as I thought it would be a fun game for her to play with friends at sleepovers etc. We decided to try it out on Boxing Day with our extended family including children, teens and adults ranging from 10 to 68 years of age – we all loved it! It is really easy to set up and start playing and as the tasks constantly vary it does not get boring or repetitive. As a result of playing the game, we have a collection of HILARIOUS video footage including family members robot dancing and moving like one animal whilst making the sound of another animal – brilliant! Game for Fame is different to other board games in that there are no complicated rules to follow or difficult questions to answer so it is possible for a wide range of ages to enjoy playing the game together. Other family members who played the game with us enjoyed it so much they are going to buy it too!
I bought this game as a christmas present for my two sons to share (ages 11 & 13) as they are both board game fans and love play acting and getting involved in whatever they are doing. We played this on Christmas day and I’m very pleased to say it was an instant hit. The game is non stop fun and had us in stitches at some of the tasks that had to be completed. I must point out that these tasks are equally as easy/difficult for kids as they are for adults with no benefit of being one over the other. All you need is a good sense of humour and be willing to make a fool of yourself. For those not comfortable with the latter just watch for a few minutes and I’m sure you’ll be saying what the heck and joining in the fun.
The game is well made, the rules are easy to understand and easy to follow. One of my favourite tasks was to read a sentence in 5 different accents. One of my sons was in my team and he got all 5 correct, even my very dodgy attempt at a South African accent. My boys liked the charades type tasks best.
Tip: When doing a water gargling task don’t make the gargler laugh otherwise you get drenched!
Great game, great fun.
I bought this game based on all the good reviews I read here on Amazon. Haven’t seen any adverts on the telly for it or anything but thought it was worth a go.
Had a dinner party with 8 friends that weekend so we tried it out. Was definitely not disappointed. Such a funny game with some great laughs, some of us even cried from laughing so much!!!
Instructions were very short so game was started really quickly which was a big bonus for us. You split into teams and do half the challenges with your team mates which is fun, then the other half of challenges you play against your team mates, so can get quite competitive.
Traveling around the board there is fun plastic surgery jokes and avoiding rehab etc. which all added to the ‘fame’ style of everything.
The best thing about the game is the challenges, which we just loved. One big pile of Money Maker cards sit on the board and each team takes turns to lift and read. This was fun as each challenge was completely different and original so we had no clue what we were going to pick up.
Best games for us had to be guessing what accent our team mate was doing, writing raps, pretending to send shapes to our team mates through ‘the power of thought’ and the cross breed games where you have to make the sound of one animal and the movement of another.
Great twist at the end of the game. Basically a team finish together but secret amounts of individual payments have been adding up over the game through cheques. Once all these are taken into account, the winner could be anyone. Helps finish the game off well and clever twist to keep us all on our toes.
All in all a great time was had. We’ve already played it again and my friends have borrowed it for a family weekend so no doubt my edition will go missing soon
Couldn’t recommend it anymore!

I very rarely write reviews, but I wanted to for this young company because they deserve it.
This game gave me, my family and friends such a terrific Xmas evening. At one point I was squealing with laughter at the acting scenes. With me was my sister and her husband and son, my 2 nieces in their 20’s, and their boyfriends. We started off with 4 of us playing it, and ended up with eight of us. One of the funniest recollections was seeing the face of each new contestant joining the game and realising what potential embarrassment they had let themselves into. Everyone had an absolute ball.
One small suggestion to the game makers would be to vary the question formats just a little more, as repeated formats could have a potential to reduce the fun. It was a very creative game, so I’m sure if the makers put their mind to it they could easily come up with a few more formats to add to the existing.
For the record, our favourite format was the all-in ‘write down a poem/ditty/song/advert and present it in character type, a lot of pressure in a fun way, and producing really interesting and very funny results. It’s not easy writing a jingle for a mattress company in a rap style in one minute, but everyone was glad they did! 😀
If you want to really get to know someone fast, play this with them! 🙂
