After trying (and failing miserably) to put together from the instructions in the box (use the pictures in the Amazon listing – so much easier to understand), I was ready to send this back.
However, once figured out, it was plain sailing. This thing is brilliant!
The metal blades cut through brush and weeds like nobody’s business – can’t comment on the plastic blades (they look a little frail and wouldn’t stand up to, for example, hitting paving) but so far I’m impressed.
Batteries seem to take a while to charge but the do last a decent amount of time.
Overall, I’m impressed and would recommend
It was simple to assemble. A bit cheap looking and feeling but it does the job I wanted it for and more.
It’s very lightweight so manoeuvring it is easy. While the motor is not that powerful with thick clumps stopping it in its tracks it does a good job once you have learned how to use it. it coped well with the lawn edges and with the steel blade attached it cleared the patio of it overgrowth. The one big problem was that I splashed out on a Ryobi weed sweeper and, to be honest, this tool does an equal if not better job than the Ryobi for clearing the cracks and crevices. Its quicker and doesn’t mark the slabs. Just have to be careful going in the cracks.
I tried the plastic blades too and they didn’t break at all. They could do with being a bit longer though.
Well worth the money.
Ah, well Ryobi weed sweeper for sale!
At 5’10 most strimmers give me backache, not this one, I can stand up straight while going over parts my lawn mower can’t get to, no strimmer cable to fix or get frustrated at has made it a lot faster, each battery lasts 45 minutes and takes about 3 hours to charge, it’s also a lot quieter than any other strimmer I’ve owned but still powerful enough to cut brambles down, I’m amazed at the size and how light it is, the only thing is I’m left handed the safty button is a little uncomfortable as it’s ment to be under the right thumb, but overall it’s amazing
This bad boy is the superhero of my yard. It whizzes around with the grace of a gazelle and the determination of a marathon runner. It’s so portable and lightweight that I could probably juggle it while trimming (not that I recommend trying, unless you’re a professional juggling gardener).
The two included batteries are like the sidekicks you never knew you needed. They provide an endless power supply, ensuring that you won’t have to yell “AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!” just to finish your garden grooming session. With these batteries, you’ll be like Thor wielding Mjolnir, bringing order to the chaos of your yard with a single swing.
The blades are like a triple threat of grass-slaying awesomeness. Need to mow through a stubborn thicket? Boom! The heavy-duty blade is there for you, slicing and dicing like a samurai chef on a cooking show. Want to trim the grass with surgical precision? Pow! The fine-edged blade will turn your yard into a work of art, worthy of display in the Louvre (okay, maybe not that fancy, but it’ll definitely impress the neighbours). And for those pesky weeds that dare to sprout in your garden, kaboom! The weedy blade is like a secret agent, stealthily eliminating unwanted vegetation without leaving a trace. James Bond would be proud.
But let’s not forget the pice de rsistance—the colour red! It is a fiery red beast that makes me feel like a superhero every time I turn it on. It’s like I’m Iron Man, but instead of fighting supervillains, I’m battling the forces of unruly greenery. Trust me, folks, if you want to feel like a gardening Avenger, get one. It’s scientifically proven to increase your superhero abilities by at least 200%.
As far as battery operated strimmer’s go, this is most definitely one of the heavier duty ones i have had the pleasure to use.
It comes with a bunch of different blades for various uses around the garden including thicker circular blades which look like they belong on a table say, but actually just grind down even the thickest of brush or even cut off small branches. Then there’s the straight metal blades which can also go through more dense grasses to clear them quickly and of course the plastic blades which are more for garden maintenance and upkeep.
Batteries seem to last a fair amount of time and they have 2 included so can be switched over as and when needed.
I didn’t need something sophisticated but in fact something quite lightweight that doesn’t take too much space and after I did some research I came across this one which was looking promising.
Considering that it has a lot of attachments, I can cut the grass and also next to the fence where there are some bushes and for these I need to put the disc on to make sure I trim them perfectly.
It comes with two batteries that can be recharged, I dont know exactly how long one battery lasts because I just use it in phases but overall I can say in terms of functionality this is more or less decent, it does the job he was bought for.
This isn’t just your usual strimmer. This is much much more. Not only do you get the usual plastic strimmer attachments you get metal ones as well as rotary blades so you can get through just about anything not just grass. It’s not too heavy and pretty simple to put together. You also get safety equipment like glasses and gloves too which is a bonus.
A good lightweight machine. Easy to put together. I so far have tried the plastic blade that came installed on the machine and then switched to the steel blade. The steel blade was quite handy at taking down new tree shoots trying to pop up in my flower garden and wild raspberry vines. I have not yet tried the saw blade but I’m happy to have the option should I need it. I found no problem using the machine for about 30 mins straight, the battery still had plenty of life after I was done.
