I switched to these blades 18-24M ago. They are more expensive than most but you get what you pay for. Very close shave, low levels of irritation and seem to last longer than most other blades I have used.
Yes, the kit and blades are expensive. Gillette advertise heavily, but they are really good and the blades last a good while. Far better than the subscription blades I had been using.
To buy this many seemed a little excessive but for the price they are very much worth it.
Some places offer the actual razor blade with an additional blade included however these days you dont get much more than the blade in the razor and an additional one. I remember you used to get at least 3. So these are grea
My husband says these are the best blades he has ever had. Very close and smooth shave.
Bought these as they were alot cheaper the in supermarkets great smooth shave love them
Last much longer than previous Gillette Razors. Smoother on the skin too
I don’t use anything else these are a great shave
I shave every day and have been looking for a blade that stays sharp for several days, is comfortable to use, gives a close shave and is available at a reasonable price. In my opinions,
this product ticks all the boxes.
A clean excellent shave but very expensive blades make this feel like a luxury, rather than a daily functional purchase. Buying these thru Amazon proved the best value buy however and make the original razor cost and ongoing blades, more affordable, “price per shave” in the longer run.
Don’t think I’ll buy again, just not that better than other blades for the cost .
I usually shave with a DE safety razor and have little patience with cartridges, finding that they either deliver a sub-standard shave or leave a rash due to multiple blades irritating the skin, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by these ones. They cut closer than any cartridge I’ve ever tried, and pleasingly haven’t left any significant razor burn in the process. I’ve been impressed with the performance on the neck area, which for me is usually a disaster zone.
In terms of durability I’ve found these are deliver a little over a week’s worth of daily shaves before any pulling is detectable, with the expected drop in performance towards the end.
One star dropped for the retail price of these being so high, and the fact they don’t fit into the usual Gillette cartridge handles.
These blades give a good shave, wet or dry, this refill pack contains 10. A bit more expensive than normal blades designed to be used only with Gillette Labs razors editions. Razor has to be purchases separately. Blades provide a smooth clean finish.
Tucked away one sunny day, my dear husband and I discovered an addition to his grooming kit. A set of Gillette razor blades – not new, but a first for him. From day one, he waxed lyrical about their remarkable performance. His skin was as smooth as silk, no tugging or discomfort. An eco-friendly benefit piqued our interest – fully recyclable. He appreciated the back trimmer, accessing hard-to-reach areas with finesse. A delightful shaving companion indeed. Four stars, only because perfection is a lofty goal!
Delighted to pick up a 10 pack at in and around 36 on special, nearly 50% off the current high Street price in Ireland.
Took a little getting used to after having used Fusion for years but better by far if not pricier.
These Blades will only fit razors from the Gillette Labs range. They give a really close shave but I can’t say that it’s noticeably closer than that which I get from my Fusion blades. The exfoliating strip seems to work well, it certainly seems to make for a smooth shave – with no skin irritation. The only ‘grumble’ that I have is that the blades do seem to clog up, even when using Gillette shaving foam – and once clogged they take quite a bit of rinsing to clear the blades again. At the time of my review this pack of 10 Gillette Labs blade cartridges would cost you 44, which is quite pricey.
When one is gifted a particular type of razor there is something of an obligation to use it, yet when that razor requires unusually expensive blade refills it can easily fall into disuse. How fortuitous, then, to be supplied with free sample blades.
As might be expected, I have the tough beard of an old man, and I do present a challenge to razors. These Gillette Labs blades have coped well, giving me two or three shaves, so I can report them to be of excellent quality. The exfoliating bar I’m not sure about, but it can do no harm, and I was unable to test the heated blade feature because my handle does not support it.
Having purchased the Gillette Heat Labs razor and was impressed I found myself in need of new blades rather soon.
Apart from these giving a great shave and nice and smooth I do find they don’t last very long.
Could be as they’re much finer blades (thinner thsn the pro glide blades) could mean they lose the sharpeness sooner.
I do have sensitive skin and these are perfect, no razor burns or irritation and that’s with using Dove soap.
Either way when they’re on offer it’s always worth buying the big pack.
Still a much better shave over the previous model that’s for sure.
