This game is good fun if you’re a fan of the show. Otherwise you are unlikely to do well at the questions.

I gave it to two friends and they had a good time playing it.

If you are a fan of the show and enjoy a quiz/cars type of game you will enjoy this one.

Great game, really true to the TV show.
    You won’t be disappointed…

UNLESS you have slightly poor eyesight.
Even wearing the correct prescription, the tiny white letters on a RED background are very hard to read.
I understand they did this to match the TV show style – but where the TV is 32inches or more, the letters on these cards are tiny.

Please consider accessibility Ginger Fox games!

Bought as a gift for a fan of the show. Feedback I received was that the recipient was thrilled as, unlike other board games, this one is very representative of the show.

My boys and I think you could possibly use an app with the game as well.
Some games from the that can’t be used with this game from the tv, would enhance playability and give so much more fun.
    A fantastic game.

Some people just know how to do a format and Richard Osman is one of those people who show up time and time again.
The board game is based on the TV show, where 4 celebrity contestants take each other on over the course of several shows in various quizzes, some of which turn up here. It’s ideal for groups / couples, but you don’t need too many people to be able to play – and if you have kids you can always play in teams.

The snag with popular games is that you want to play over and over, and without bonus material, extra packs and so on, you’ll quickly race through all the questions. But I’m sure they’ll have thought of that, and one thing you’ll know is that someone has a lot of quiz questions in their locker.

This card game is only really playable for a certain generation. My parents who are massive fans of the 80s and grew up with MTV. Could play this game for hours. However my husband and I only need maybe two questions throughout the whole game. Overall it’s a great game if you grew up watching MTV. The roads are very simple and the game can be over and done with in less than an hour.

This is a must if you like music and trivia games. You do need three people to play and even with a 13 + age range it might benefit to being a little older or have a knowledge of older music (80s, 90s, 00s) just so you can get some of the questions.

It is pretty straightforward to play and the winner completes the logo jigsaw puzzle. The box is fairly compact so doesn’t take up a massive amount of space.

Overall it’s a fun game with a hint of nostalgia too. It might be possible to play with two people if you adapted the rules. All in all a good music trivia game!

This is a pleasant selection of word and trivia games – I haven’t seen the TV show so can’t comment about accuracy. There are six groups of 20 questions, each with different tasks, based on spelling, trivia, emojis, rhyming, etc; best played in a team, preferably with some alcohol to get the most amusement out of the game. There is a battery powered buzzer and a cardboard trophy for the winner in addition to the 120-130 game cards, which is a little lightweight; if you play several rounds, you will exhaust all combinations, so not that great for longevity, but fun while it lasts.

The game is very similar to the television show so it should appeal to people who are already fans.
The instructions are clear and comprehensive and the format is fairly simple so it can be played by people who have never watched the game on television.

The buzzer works well and is good fun and the cards are clearly printed and easy to handle.

We were concerned that once the game is played a few times the questions will keep being repeated. A search online revealed that extra questions are available.

It would be possible for someone to write their own questions for subsequent games as the format is straightforward. Parents might be able to write suitable questions for children.
The packaging is neat and perfect for storage.

The game is for 3+ players, me and o/h also played just us and adapted for reading out and marking the points.

Detailed instruction sheet for how to play/score. Different card categories, there aren’t massive amounts for each but enough to get a few games from.

The button is brilliant (comes pre loaded with batteries and ready to go, just pull the white plastic tab out) and how much does it look like Osman!

Varied questions & for the emoticon round we used our phones (say the movie is jaws you say movie and send the shark emoticon, there are harder ones, and some easier.

You have the little trophy as shown to play for. It doesn’t come with pad/pen to keep scores so that it the only other thing you need then you are good to go. Varied rounds so you have a decent shot at scoring points and more so if you have a bigger team, more players more knowledge. 4/5 from us & I think because it isn’t s board game, just cards that need split and the buzzer I think we will take this to our next night at our pals.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good game

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis game is a lot of fun, particularly if you’re a fan of the show, featuring a lot of rounds you’ll be familiar with. Unfortunately it’s aimed at 3+ players, so for a couple like us, it’s only really playable when you have friends over, which is a shame. I’m sure they could have added a 2-player mode without much difficulty, but unfortunately I haven’t seen any board games that cater for different options than they originally intend.

This item arrived nicely packaged in a very colourful MTV box. Inside the box are plenty of question cards for different categories, instructions and MTV jigsaw pieces that you collect when you win. It’s a nice game to play with the family, but I think for older children/adults (even though it says 13+) as a lot of questions are quite hard. There are a lot of question cards but with the difficulty of it, the four of us playing went through most of the cards before someone won.

4.0 out of 5 stars Game for adults

This game is modelled on the BBC Radio 2 quiz of the same name. Having never listened to the radio version, this was my first experience of the format of the game.

In the box is the main playing board, counters and a series of different card options.

The game alternates between regular rounds of questions and bonus rounds, with 10 rounds of questions in total. There is there a head-to-head for the top two players to decide the winner.

The game advertises itself as stretching from the 1950s onwards. However, of the cards we have played so far, there appears to be a significant portion based on 1990s, 2000s and the 2010s. Maybe we simply haven’t shuffled them well enough to get to the other eras but this is likely to be most suited to people familiar with these decades of music.

The game is very easy to play and it does not take long to work your way up the board. In fact this is my one criticism of the game as it feels like it is over very quickly. We ended up playing a number of rounds of the game to make up for it.

Definitely one for adults rather than children. I can see this being a good addition to a dinner party or a night in with your friends.

I hope you found this review helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick and easy to play, great for music fans

This is a fun replication of the popular Radio 2 music quiz hosted by Ken Bruce.
It’s very simple to play and set up (much simpler than the slightly daunting instructions imply!).
Up to four players can take part (or team up if more).
There are a wide variety of questions for both the multiple-choice categories and the bonus rounds.
I would say this is very much aimed at the Radio 2 crowd (people of a certain age) as most of the questions cover 60’s to 90’s music.
When you get to the final round there is an option to access a website where a recording of Ken Bruce will read out the final questions (these are all accessed via a QR code on each card). If you do not have (or want) this though, you can do it just the same by reading the cards yourself!

This will be a fun little game for pop-pickers (of a certain age, as I say) and great for Xmas/New Year gatherings.

Only deducted a star as 30 seems a little high for the fairly basic contents of the box.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's like Ken is in the room!

I got this to play with my in-laws who are big fans of the TV show this is based on. The game arrived sealed and makes a great first impression. There are lots of different rounds to play (just like the tv show) and the game provides everything you need bar a paper and pen to keep score. I like that the buzzer comes with batteries included, that is a nice touch. Actually one of the rounds does need a smart phone to play, however in a large group I would expect at least one person to have one so it probably won’t be an issue!

That being said, the very nature of the game makes this better suited for a larger group to play. Some of the rounds require you to get into teams, and each round needs a question master – therefore I would say a minimum of 5 people are needed. A really good game for those big family get togethers, or game night with friends.

As this is a trivia game, I hope that the manufacturers will look to bring out additional cards to purchase as otherwise once you’ve played through all of the rounds, it is likely to be consigned to the charity shop as you will know all the answers!

Great fun to play straight out of the box – perfect for fans of the show.

This game really can be funny and create very entertaining atmosphere when playing. Big buzzer is of course biggest feature and making this board game like quiz game from tv you are watching.

Questions are interesting and from many different topics however only gonna last couple of games before eventually running out of cards and it is shame since whole game is based on them cards and questions. Despite this game being for whole family there is age limitation, it is not for kids, requires some level of knowledge. Also it is pain to segregate cards before the game with same category.

So big box without any board seems like waste and unnecessary. Could be compressed into smaller or add board for organising game cards during game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Huge box for such a small conte

This is a fairly good stripped-down version of the TV show. It consists of ten of the show’s games, to be played by teams or individuals. That will give you a flavour of the amount of simplification if you are familiar with the show. It would be impossible for a board game to replicate the full extent of the show.

The different elements and rounds of the game are entertaining. The contents of the box are of reasonable quality, and you get almost everything you need, with the buzzer supplied with batteries. The only extras you need are a pen and paper to mark down your scores and a mobile phone for the emoji round.

Some games can be played again and again, but with quiz games you tend to run out of questions, and you can’t unremember the answers. This comes into the latter category, but it is definitely suitable for a family to sit around the table over the Christmas holidays and to have fun. Every year we as a family look around to find that one game that will interest us all, and this will be perfect, but just for the once. You could probably come back to it another year or with a different group of friends or family, but I am afraid this is a one trick pony. It would be very handy if there were an extension pack, but I haven’t been able to find one. This product is probably a glorified version of the card game already on the market; that may have a different set of questions that would work as an extension pack, but you would have to ask a product question to check that. Note the statement in the description: “Buy directly from Ginger Fox Games and you’ll have exclusive access to digital features only available from us. Features are optional, and the game can be played without them.” Not sure how the suppliers enforce this exclusivity, and if they do the extra features are not available if buying from Amazon or A N Other vendor. The box refers to “bonus digital rounds”, and has a QR code saying “scan here to find out more”, which is presumably related. As I don’t want to get these features until I need them, it would be good if there were a bit less mystery and more marketing clarity in the description.

A good price for an evening’s entertainment and a great game for Christmas fun.
