I use two of mine for overnight oats and the third is used to store sea salt. The container is a really good size and shape, cleans really easily and the seal on lid is good. Would definitely purchase again.
These would also be ideal for coffee/sugar as the spoon that comes with them would save a wet spoon being dunked in.
I saw on Instagram people posting their overnight oats in glass jars so I had to buy! It’s been so sturdy and I even put it in the dishwasher and it’s fine definitely recommend.
I bought this because I was not having breakfast in the morning. Found a quick overnight oat recipe and it’s really working for me. I just take from the fridge and I’m out the door.
These are too cute. I bought these for my lunches at work, I love the little spoon in its wee holder. Perfect for my overnight oats, mixed salads, even sweets. Love, love.
I bought this to replace a previous one from a different seller that had a run in with a kitten, the kitten won.
The jar is a good size, the jar is glass the spoon holder is glass welded onto the side of the jar, the spoon and lid are bamboo, with a silicone ring, removable, that helps ensure the fir is air tight.
I use mine ( I have quite a few from the other seller) for storing spices, seeds and other cooking ingredients that need a spoon to use, I find it hadier than hunting for a teaspoon, the wooden bamboo spoon is always there when you need it, it hangs from the glass loop spoon holder that is essentially part of the glass jar.
I usually have 2 stacked on top of each other asy kitchen is diddy and I use a lot of spices and spice blends that I make up in advance, and as they are glass you can easily see what is inside each one.
For the spice blends, which often look similar but are very different, I bought some chalkboard lables here on Amazon, and a chalkboard pen ( liquid chalk) and the black of the chalkboard lables, I find, goes well with the bamboo, but of course you could write directly on the glass with permanentarker ( which comes off easily with a cloth with a little alcohol on it), or you could paint the jars if you are artistic and want to keep the same ingredients in the jars, really the choices are many and varied.
The glass thickness is ok, but they are fine glass so be careful when washing up not to bump them on the sink as they may shatter ( been there, done that).
The one I was replacing was simply knocked from a standing position to a horizontal position in a wooden shelf but is shattered, just as an example, so do take care, but having said all of that, they are worth it .
How much you can put in varies on the size and shape of what you are putting in, for example this one hold 1.6kg of fine sea salt, or 500g whole almonds.
Although the lid is a nice airtight seal, it is very easy to open, I am usually opening mine one handed whilst stirring or flipping something with the other hand in a pan of some sort. Easy to take the lid off one handed, easy to pop it back on, ideal when bakin or cooking as you don’t have to stop what you are doing to add whatever is in the jar.
Hope this is useful.
These jars looked so cute with their little wooden sooons just had to buy as a gift for
My mum. Going to fill with healthy snacks to help her with her healthy diet.
love the combination of material of this jar, glass plus wood is very neat and posh-looking. a nice upgrade for a simple jar in the kitchen. lightweight. easy to clean. can be a storage for anything because its air-tight container. affordable price. must have in the kitchen.
I’ve been looking for a storage jar to keep hot chocolate in and this is perfect for the job. You get a little wooden spoon which is great for scooping out the hot chocolate. The seal on the lid is great and is air tight but still easy to get the lid off.
The glass jar is easy to clean and feels fairly sturdy but it isn’t the thickest of glass so I don’t think that it would survive any big knocks.
Overall I’m happy with this jar. It’s great for storage with its air tight lid and you could use it for a few different things. Although it isn’t that big so it’s perfect for things like hot chocolate, coffee etc. I’m very happy with it!
