This is a small, accurate thermostat used for controlling a GoveeLife smart heater. The setup was simplicity itself and both units now offer an accurate and efficient heating option for my daytime needs.

These are great little devices for helping monitor humidity and temperature. We’ve got them in every room of our house now to help us have a better idea of whether any of our rooms are too humid/warm etc. Being able to link them to the app and see trends in the data/export it is really useful too. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s a great little piece. Got it for my snakes vivarium, shows temperature (can change from F to C) and humidity. Nice and clear display, really light. Takes 2x AAA batteries. You can connect it via Bluetooth to your phone to check if all is good while you’re away. You can set minimum and max temperature and humidity, and if it goes above or below, it’ll send you an alarm to your phone! Good buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for vivarium

I currently use 5 of these in our house to get an idea how the temperature and humidity in the attic, broom cabinet and utility room as well as living room und bedroom is changing . I calibrated all of them against a Dyson Air Purifier. Battery life is good and the Bluetooth range is good .

I like this little thing. But it’s not like my other one and Bluetooth only, so can’t be checked remotely. Quick workaround, place in view of my Bink webcam, voila, now can be viewed anywhere! Would have gone with a Bink one had I known.
Much better than my old one, the app is

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have also bought a thermometer/hygrometer from Govee to use alongside a smart heater, the heater itself does have an internal thermostat so it can be used without this other device, but it is more accurate and gives a better idea of the room temp when using this device with it. It works really well with the Govee app to sync both temp and humidity readings to view, and also works well when paired with the smart heater to monitor the temp of the room and shut off the heater when it has reached temperature in thermostat mode!

Early days but the thermostat and smart heater combination working well.
Bought to facilitate keeping our living room as a comfortable warm environment while reducing the cost of heating the remainder of the house.

Insert the batteries provided (switch them to C rather than F obviously) and they appear magically in Home Assistant immediately.

I now have 4 across the house measuring temperature and humidity constantly.

I bought these for my indoor plants to monitor and regulate temps/humidity. For the price of these two they perform great with good accuracy and far distance bluetooth – I can use it from the other side of the house sometimes. The readings are clear and can be switched from C to F.

The app is very simple to setup and great for monitoring as it provides values such as VPD, Dew point and a graph of readings.

These are great little units to scatter around your house or Garage, shed etc. With the app you can see the various temps/humidity where ever you have them, they work well with OS X Sonoma widgets, I can see them on my wallpaper without having to open them.

One of the units occaisionally goes out of sync and you need to open up the app on your phone and move closer to the device but no real hardshiip. I guess its down to Bluetooth range.

    Works greta otherwise. 9/10

I was looking for something like that for along time now, to be able to control the humidity and temperature in my meat drying chamber. So far it does great job. And i love the notification feature too

I chose this model for the app to look at the data, but it never really seems to be up to date, I think the Bluetooth connection keeps dropping out. Works fine just as a little meter to look at though, but maybe a little expensive just for that compared to others.

It’s good, heavily relies on Bluetooth for the app, app has notifications set for when humidity or temp is too high but sometimes fails to tell me on my phone.

I use my heater remotely when I’m at work to keep my cage birds comfortable. I set the min and max temperatures and it alerts me via the App if there is a significant change in room temperature at home and I can then activate the Smart Heater if necessary. This only really works via the App. There would be little point having it if not using the App

They are good and i love the fact that we can export the data for 2 years. Keep in mind the data doesn’t show you the high and lows but only the temperature from time to time as requested. Nothing a spreadsheet can’t deal with. I had a hard time tho to control the accuracy since it allows you to correct it in the app. So I wanted to know the temperature and humidity, how can i know which one is the more accurate?

Was bought mainly to keep an eye on humidity levels for my guitars. It does that and tells the temp. Also stored data and tfrs to phone via bluetooth if thats something you need

Great value for money, I have multiple units inside the house and out. Measures everything I require to keep an eye on room temperatures in the winter and help manage the heating around the house (3 floors).
Let’s me see the temperatures and humidity in the garden (kept under cover) and keeps a record of history too. NOTE – history is lost when you need to change the batteries, however they last well over a year if using good quality batteries.

I bought this room thermometer because I wanted to know if my house was too hot or too cold or indeed just about right . I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use and how accurate it was. It has a large display that shows the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, and it also has a humidity indicator. The thermometer is sleek and stylish, and it fits well with any decor. I love this thermometer so much, I bought another one for my bedroom to i know if i am hot in bed or not, . It’s the best thing that ever happened to my room temperature!

Does all it is supposed to but be aware you need 2 x AAA batteries for it…I read CR2032 in the description specs and bought a large pack so now I guess I will need to get more stuff to use them up.

Keeps track of the humidity and temperature. My only issue is that although its listed as a product that works with apple homekit, it also requires the govee app. The app must be opened so that it can update the apple homekit system.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNever heard of this brand before. However, the thermometer seems very well built and packaged. The app and configuration is so easy and quick. They have more products for smart home. I would definitely recommend this, and possibly I’ll check more of their products in the future.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this to monitor any damp in the air and to use alongside my dehumidifier. The display is easy to read showing temperature with min and max through the day. It shows the percentage of moisture again high and low with a indication if it’s too wet or not.

You can link this with your phone however I used this for the first few weeks but the novelty kind of worn off, but still if you can be bothered great to have.

The only down side for me would be that if you touched the display or pressed a button it would give you a little back light but I’m sure there’s others on the market with this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good piece of kit for the money

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI have bought four of these devices; three to monitor my home and after being delighted by the performance, a fourth as a present.
I checked mine side by side with each other against a laboratory grade mercury-in-glass thermometer. At around room temperature, 16C – 23C, they were spot on. Had they not been there is a calibration facility in the app which allows +/- 3C adjustment. I did not test them at the extremes of the range.
I note that the instructions say the thermometer should not be used in freezing temperatures, which is a shame as it would be very useful to monitor fridge performance or outdoor spaces. It could be that the manufacturers are concerned about battery performance of the two supplied AAA cells, or the Bluetooth connectivity, or indeed the danger of condensation as the device is not weatherproof, but whatever the reason negative temperatures are not recommended.
The range of the Bluetooth is not great, but the device stores the readings and regurgitates them to your phone when it is near. Mine have worked through a few walls and a floor, but the most reliable performance is when you are in the same room.
A really useful feature is the ability to download historical data between two chosen dates as a csv file. This can be opened in Excel (other spreadsheets are available) and manipulated as you see fit. I have plotted graphs and it was a very easy process.
The app on the iPhone is very good. The graphs are clear and sharp with a very professional presentation. Fixed durations can be selected: hour, day, week, month and year, but each of theses can be zoomed in and out (time-wise) using the usual two finger gesture to arrive at whatever level of detail you require. The readings increment in 0.1 and 0.1% steps.
The app also allows you to set limits beyond which you can arrange a warning notification to be sent to your phone (but only in Bluetooth range with, I believe, the app on – so not as useful as the much more expensive WiFi version). The temperature and humidity graphs turn from blue to red when the set limits are breached.
As a stand alone device the display is large, clear and attractive. Even without the logging facility the device is useful displaying current temperature and humidity and maximum and minimum values of each since the last reset.
The device can also display readings in F and the time can be set in the app to display 24-hour clock or 12-hour clock values by opening “My Profile” and clicking the switch.
Customer service/support from Govee is also excellent. I had an issue where the data downloaded as a csv file did not match the dates I had requested. I contacted them via the app and in less than a day I got a message to say the problem was fixed and when I tried the download again it was indeed, fixed.
One improvement I would appreciate would be an iPad version of the app that displayed the detailed graphs in landscape mode. The app does work on the iPad but only in portrait and blown up to fill the screen it looks clunky.
