Used these to anchor a 4 man tent on soft ground in 22mph winds, they were amazing. Best buy of the whole trip! I’m sure they’ll be as good on hard ground.
They are very similar to other pegs I have but seem a little thicker. I have driven them into hard standing at sites and they worked well. They can be a little difficult to remove
though!
Such a shame that delivery is appalling. My parcel address states “leave in side porch” and my front door has a notice also saying please go to side porch with an arrow pointing which way. Yet every parcel received from Amazon has been left on my front doorstep on view to passers by. On this occasion I was in and called out to the driver but he just drove of. I’ve been a courier and find service like this bad especially when the customer has made it clear and easy for the courier to provide a good service. Come on Amazon get your act together one lazy courier is a reflection on you and all the genuine hard working couriers.
Deducted a star as managed to bend half a dozen of them when knocking into hard standing pitch. Luckily, they can be hammered back to straight, so none lost as a result. Managed to break the plastic top on one when using puller to remove from hard standing. Would be great on grass pitches. Had to rely on my trusty roofing hammer to extract after breaking one whilst removing from hard standing.
Really easy and strong. Easily pushed all the way into the ground with minimal effort. Did also try a mallet to test their strength and they didn’t bend at all. Bought normal tent pegs before these and wish I didn’t bother because the quality and ease of use doesn’t even come close.
Have used these on five sites now so well tested. Strong, drive in well, very good plastic clips which hold guy rope in place. Pull out well with claw on mallet.
1 of the 20 pegs in my box was too thick, so not a problem.
