Great for the price and the charge lasts ages. This is great for the modeler or someone who wants a concentrated beam when working on an item. It has a narrow beam of about 5″ -13cm.
Without these I don’t know what would have happened when things didn’t go as planned during a mountain hike. A full charge seems to last forever and is amazingly bright enough to make out even the smallest details in the dark. And the brightest point is at the centre, helping to focus. I brought them for piece of mind, never expecting to need them. So grateful.
We both used this for the darker months whilst running and it’s fab! There are 3 light settings 1) very bright (think headlights on full beam) 2) standard light (headlights as normal) and then a flashing mode which if you’re epileptic I wouldn’t advise having it facing you or trying it in a dark room! But if you’re not it’s perfect to use when running alone in a dark place!
Easy to adjust and charge. All in all worth every penny I spent!
I use this for sewing, so it is really useful and very bright, It is comfortable on your head and you can tilt the light downwards.
The only negative I would say is that the light is focused on a small beam, not a wide beam, which is perfect for what I want it for. You also have to press the button to scroll through 3 settings, I.e. fixed light/strobe light to switch it off which can be a bit annoying, especially when you’re staring into it, which you would need to do in order to turn it upside down to find the little button.
The photo shows the brightest light, which is a small beam with a halo around it. The second setting is a dimmer circle of light than the one in the photo and the third is a strobe light, not sure what I would use that for.
All in all it, It is a good little light.
It isn’t clear from the photos just how big the lamp actually is.I am used to the flatter ones for working in tight spaces wheras with this one it feels like you’ve got an old miners lamp strapped to your head.I was initially going to send it back because of this however it does have a very strong beam and it has come in useful when walking the dogs in the dark so it is good from that point of view.Plus points good strong beam and long battery life , bad points , the lamp is a bit unwieldy and heavy to wear.Would I buy another one ? Probably not.
I always thought I didn’t need one of these until I got one! They’re great for any time you need a bit more light and need both hands free. Unfortunately I lost it soon after I got it but immediately bought another one, wouldn’t be without one now 🙂 It’s very bright and has 3 modes – bright, medium bright and flashing which you change with a push button you operate with your thumb while wearing it. The only slight down sides are that it is a little heavy and the button is right next to another protusion that at first I got confused with the button. I got used to it pretty quickly and the weight doesn’t bother me. I think the wieght is probably par for the course with a headlamp of this brightness, though if I was planning to wear it continuously for a few hours I may consider researching lighter headlamp, though most likely a bright lightweight one would be more expensive and this was very reasonably priced. All in all I’m very happy with it and replaced it immediately after I lost the first one.
Very bright light and there are multiple options for the light (constant light or flashing). Battery is good – I’ve charged this once and haven’t had to charge it since. Only fault is that the head strap can slip off if not put on correctly
The brightness on this headlight is brilliant and helps me do jigsaws in the dull light of the winter months. The charge lasts ages! Only charged it once since I bought it 3 weeks ago. My only complaint is the headband is a little small. I don’t think I have a huge head but it’s now at its limits so it fits on my head! I’m hoping that it’ll stretch with use
The beam is super narrow, like maybe 1 foot wide at 15 feet distance, very even brightness across that 1 foot, and is almost non-existent outside. It’s quite bright but not blindingly so, given how focussed it is. I might use it for close work, searching in dark places etc. Haven’t tested the battery life. The lamp is slightly bulky – I have one I used for cycling about 15y ago which is much smaller (which cost about 100 back then)
I have previously written a short report on this item, but here I am about a month into its use, the torch is slightly on the large side, but not uncomfortable, it charges up really quickly at the moment, it is very bright and could do with a slightly dimmer second setting when meeting with people, in my case fellow dog walkers! The main issue related to brightness is the lack of being able to turn off the main spotlight, the wide beam operation would be great when walking with others, but the high intensity spot can be a little awkward and needs to be pointed down to avoid issues. However, I do find the torch to be an excellent addition on these dark nights and mornings.
