I bought these over two years ago, I’ve been very happy with my purchase.
Considering a colour change for awhile, this shows I’m happy with the quality as I’m looking at the same curtains and brand.

Bought these to block out the summer early mornings!! Insecurity kights.Excellent quality.Feels like a peachskin finish Good weigh well made. Were to long but I shortened them as I have weird length windows.Look really expensive when hung. Were slightly dreaded but fell out when hung and were up for a couple of days. Well worth the orice.

Love these curtains. Good material. Definitely block the light but not 100% blackout. A bit creased to start but after a couple of days of hanging they look great. Would definitely buy again.

I ordered these curtains to block the sun and it really does the job. However, the fabric is quite thick so looks a bit stiff when hung. But I’m happy with the performance

Great curtains overall – ordered navy a few years ago. Went for burgundy this time. Colour is not as dark as the photo shows – it’s more of a claret red than proper deep burgundy. Still rich enough though, just more ‘red’. Blackout to a certain extent but as they are unlined, a degree of light does come through the curtain. (Also, darker colours will absorb the heat in the summer, not good for nighttime. If you’re not planning to line the curtains then I would strongly recommend you use a blind in the window as well to block the heat in the daytime).

Stitching on this order was very shoddy. Had to take the curtains up to get them to all hang at the same length. Was as much as 6 inches difference between curtains! Not good! I know a good seamstress who rectified this for me thankfully.

These curtains will cut out evening light but are not complete blackout, however, they are very good quality for the price. If you want complete blackout I’m afraid you’ll probably be looking at at least twice this price.

Not 100% blackout but very good. They help a lot on bright sunny mornings.

I really like the colour of the curtains, they’re a nice shade of blue and they look great, although were pretty creased out the packet.
They don’t block out enough light for me, with the lighter mornings this is very noticeable and I’m going to have to add proper blackout lining. The room is dimmer but not dark.

I recently redecorated my Son’s room and went with grey additions to the room these curtains are fab. They fit really well and block out everything light wise. Really pleased with them and will be buying another colour in this range for my bedroom!

I didn’t plan to use the tie backs as I didn’t want to put hooks on the wall (thinking they have rings on the ends) however they have a little Velcro so close onto themselves and hang easily and neatly on the curtains. Fine to take off and put on each day.

For such lightweight curtains they make a great difference to the light level in a room. Photo doesn’t really do them justice but taken on a sunny afternoon to show how dark the room does become with them. Whilst not in my room, it’s great going through in the morning and family not already awoken with the bright morning light and will happily buy for my room when I need to replace my curtains.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes a good difference to room light level

Liked the feel and the look – worked well during the night . In the morning patches of light could be seen through but as it’s daytime that would be fine

I would recommend these curtains to anyone.
I had been looking for blackout curtains for a while and they were so expensive the cheapest I had seen in store were over 100. So when I ordered these curtains I thought that for the price if they weren’t very thick I could line them.
So when I hung them up and closed them I was amazed by how dark they made the room. They also held the heat in the room.
I will certainly be buying these again.

Very creased when taken out of the packet, but ironed quite well. Much better blackout properties than my previous curtains, but light is coming in above the pole and around the sides, as you would expect.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased these to replace old cream curtains that let in a lot of light. My husband works nights and our bedroom is on the back of a south facing house so we get the sun all day in the summer and it was very light in the room. These are really good for the money. I purchased two pairs to fit a large window and whilst I could have probably gotten away with one pair there wouldn’t have been much ruching on the curtains. Overall an excellent purchase

5.0 out of 5 stars Great curtains

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought for my 20 something son the pub carpark behind our home has had a light put up so the patrons can see their cars at night, however it lights up the rooms along the back house all night. The curtains work perfectly for blocking out this bright light. The room is now back to darkness on a night. However on a morning it is light enough in the room that my son has now stopped opening his curtains as he can see to get dressed with them closed. So they work but only on a night any one who needs to sleep during the day I would suggest you dont buy them.
The curtains are lovely and soft to touch the colour goes well in my son’s room navy blue and if need another pair not for blackout I would buy these agai

This pair of Navy Versailtex 90″ x 90″ lightweight blackout curtains cut out most of the direct sunlight, with just a few tiny-tiny speckles showing through the weave.

I’m not convinced by the claims for thermal properties or how many layers, because they are thin, but this is less important for my application.

These are about half the weight of the previous ordinary cotton/polyester curtains (which did not cut out the light even with louvres closed behind them) and are much more effective as blackout.

Being Navy these are much better than the claimed 90% reduction in light transmission and so allow a much better control of the lighting environment in this room for much less eyestrain.

The pencil-pleat tape at the top allowed me to mount them as usual on standard Harrison Drape glide tracks for invisible mounting to cover the whole end wall of the room.

The creases from packing did not fall out with hanging for a few days, so I needed to gently steam them in-situ to release the folds.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersThis review is for the brown curtains. I suspect that the blackout effect will be greatly less with lighter coloured curtains.

The material is OK as curtains go, not fantastic, but they were pretty cheap and I guess you don’t wear them, so as long as they look OK that is OK in my book. My window faces South so in the bright weather I need to block out light lest I wake up at 5am when the room is lit up. These curtains do a pretty OK job at getting the room darker than it was when I had cream curtains. The blackout effect would have been better if I had my curtain poles mounted higher than they are to prevent light leaking in over the top (my fault, not the curtains). With sunlight on them you can see that the material isn’t that thick as there are pinholes of light showing through, but I am happy enough with them.

The free tie-backs are just a strip of material with velcro to connect the ends. They don’t have anything that can hook onto tie-back hooks, but they do slip over my existing hooks, so no dramas there.

The construction is pretty good. Stitching is secure and the curtain hook webbing works as it should with 3 heights for hooks to go into.

I am happy with the purchase

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good for the price
