Excellent jacket for my need – paddleboarding. Only thing that wasn’t clear is that there is no zip on the front. It will need to be secured by the 2 ties. Not a big issue but I would have preferred a zip.
Ready to move in, great twin pack, got two packs for a total of 4 life vests, easy to move in, not been overboard yet thankfully so can’t speak of their floatation but confident they’ll do the trick as they’re HH
Great life jacket, purchased for use with paddle board. Jacket is lightweight and comfortable and allows for adjustments for different shapes and sizes looking forward to trying it out on the wate
Use it for swimming in the sea. Doesn’t get In the way and keeps me on the right side of the surface. Just remember this is not a lifejacket but a very good buoyancy aid.
I bought this item for my granddaughter, she said it was comfortable. It was very light, once on it stayed in place whilst we where all in the water. Good value, Will more than likely need a new on next season has they grow so fast.
Bought for son prior to waterpark visit, he can swim ok but hates going underwater. Tried out at local pool before trip. Jacket was excellent however did ride up a little on his body when in the water, maybe just a bit too big for him.
My son loves this! I though he would be reluctant to wear it but he was over the moon as “it looks like body armour”
He’s 125cm tall and fits great and will probably give 2-3 years growth.
This is as it says, a buoyancy aid, so designed for light use and to help float and has equal buoyancy front and rear – perfect to allow your child to swim.
If you want a life vest/jacket (which have additional buoyancy at the front, to flip you over onto your back, to avoid drowning) then this isn’t the right product for you.
For our usage, paddle board, it’s perfect!!!
Great value for the money.
I looked at loads before buying. This is comfortable, lightweight & easy to adjust.
I like the fact that it is a ‘v’ neck so it’s more comfortable to wear & I doesn’t ‘ride up’
I haven’t fallen in the water with it yet, so cannot comment on boyancy.
Have used one if these when on my SUP, but bought this one for a dingy sailing course it was perfect for the course and will be used for SUP activity too.
Reveiwing Helly Hansen Sport II Buoyancy Aid. Very pleased to find a budget priced life vest from such a reputable company. I use it for SUP. The bottom cord can be tightened and there’s one buckle across the middle which can also be tightened. Make sure not to buy it too big. I’m a small adult, 155cm tall, 86cm chest weighing 47kg, I bought size XS which is probably a childs size and it’s perfect. I suggest using the size chart in the image, not the link.
I can swim but not confident in deep water. This is jacket has given me the confidence to go into the sea, which I would not have done without it, so happy with the produced.
I got this for my partner and she is very happy with it. It is easy to fit and to wear and she likes the look (which is a bonus) and I am happy that it does the necessary safety job. Great value and excellent product all round.
Excellent value/quality as would be expected for a HH product but beware of the sizing. The chart on Amazon is not great, I ordered a ‘Taille’ 70/90 being a 6ft/180cm male at 13st/80KG and it has come up pretty tight. I’d oversize if your debating which one to order.
After trailing through amazing trying to find a light weight life jacket I stumbled on this one. I was really struggling to understand what size to get. I’m a size 12 top half and 14/16 on bottom half. I went for the size large. I tried it on and fits nicely. It’s easy to tie up with 2 ties at the front and ofcourse the middle strap. I haven’t tested it out yet on water. I’m hoping to start paddle boarding after the lockdown. Great purchase.
You only have to buy a good life jacket once i guess – you’re not exactly going to lose it, so you may as well spend a bit more and get a good well known brand that’s not going to let you down. Can’t fault the product, really comfortable and fits me and my dad despite us being different sizes.
I am going on holiday twice this year, and as I can’t swim (at all) I have to buy life belt while there. For me to fit into them I have to have the biggest there is, which is very uncomfortable. I watched a young lad with one on last year, it looked so much fun for him. That is why I have bought me one, the fit is fantastic I will have to let you know how I get on in June. If you would like that just ask.
This arrived a couple of days after ordering it. I haven’t used it yet but it looks like it is exactly what we wanted. I am off to Egypt to snorkle and although I do swimmquite well I get a bit panickynin deep water. I want to enjoy looking at the marine life and this will hipefully help me do just that.
have just returned from holiday in Ibiza and cannot recommend this jacket more. Our son who is disabled (weak left side)loves being in the water and although he cannot swim due to the hemiplegia he just loves going under water and floating on his back.
This jacket gave him the freedom to do all this, keeping him afloat upright even when out of depth. He did not experience any problems of the jacket forcing him to face downwards. Just ensure you get the correct size for your weight.
It is easy to put on, the materials are of great quality and dries very quickly.
Thank you for a great product; enabling our son to be safely independent and have so much joy in the water.
