1-6 players

We recommend 2-6 people as the ideal number of players for the puzzle calendar. However, the puzzles can be mastered just as well on your own!

5-15 minutes each day

You should take about 5 to 15 minutes per day for the puzzle calendar. If you want to play the game in one evening, you should allow about 3-4 hours.

Suitable for ages 14+

The puzzle calendar is suitable for ages 14 and up. Younger children can also support and help solve the puzzle. The daily puzzle is a great ritual for the whole family.

I bought this for my teenager as an advent calendar for Christmas but it absolutely does not need to be used as one. This is a perfect go to for a quick or lengthy game.

Played through with my partner. Took several hours. Most puzzles are just the right amount of challenge. Some are quite difficult and others are what I would personally consider too easy. But for the most part the difficulty level is consistent. The letters are all beautiful quality and we repackaged all after playing so we can re gift to another family member. Only minor negative is that there are some errors on some letters, as well as unclear instructions on others that don’t make it obvious enough that you need to use the website or your phone. Other than that this was a great purchase and I’d absolutely purchase from this company again.

I did this as an advent calendar with my 13 year old daughter. We loved opening thr next letter each day. The puzzles were interesting and varied in difficulty. We want to do another one we loved this one so much!!!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when purchasing this calendar for a teen boy, but if you’re on the fence GET IT! the puzzles were super fun, challenging enough to keep us busy, but not too challenging that we gave up. It’s such a great puzzle and can’t wait for this company to make a new one.

Every year I order a few advent calendars for my kids- and sometimes for myself and hubby too! I ordered this as one of them this year, and it is by far the most favorite advent calendar that we’ve ever purchased! My son (who just turned 16) actually beats me to it before I get home from work every day! It can be used individually by several family members (just pass along each daily puzzle after you finish it), or together with tweens! Most of the puzzles are relatively easy, yet cute, but a few of them took us a bit! And I am totally going to pass this on to my brother and his wife so they can use it next year! Great concept, easy to follow, and totally worth every penny!

My young adult son and I have been having fun with this calendar. I highly recommend it. Puzzles vary in difficulty but remain interesting for adults. Some general knowledge (or Google searching) is required. Just be aware that though this is packaged in a box with physical clues, one needs access to the internet and a phone to solve some of the puzzles. Disappointingly, one puzzle was misprinted and one had to go to the hints for that specific day before being told this. At the least, making this known on the main hint page would be useful.

Doesn’t need to be an advent calendar. Great family thinking game. Everyone’s input is needed to solve the clues. We did have to go online for hints. One error. He says he drank five beers but he actually drank six which is the number of beer steins shown. You don’t know its an error until you give up and go for a hint. Then it tells you. So assume he drank six beers. Overall, very challenging and lots of fun.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am doing this with my husband each day (December 2023) and we are loving it so far. I was afraid it might be too easy and more for kids, but you actually have to think for a minute on these. I don’t care so much for the story around it, but figuring out the clues each day is fun. Definitely not for younger kids, but adults and older kids/preteens (maybe with help) may enjoy this. Would be a fun family activity. I am not writing on anything and trying to keep the envelopes as intact as possible so I can pass along to someone else when we’re finished.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a really unique and fun “advent calendar” – especially if you like puzzles/escape room type riddles. My 11 and 14 year olds are having a great time doing this each day (adult has been “involved” – it is not too easy but not too hard for that age group). The packaging is really nice and concept is fun. It can be done in one sitting but they are trying very hard to do one envelope a day like an advent calendarbut it’s so fun they would love doing it in one sitting (supposed to take a couple hours I read if done that way). It’s single use but most riddle games like this are. Only problem is I wish they made more games like thiswould definitely buy more.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall I really like this. I thought it was affordable and something fun to do every night. Most of the clues were easy enough to get. I think 10-15 minutes per envelope. There’s a site listed where you can check for hints. I needed it for maybe 2 or 3 clues, I never would have gotten them otherwise. Kind of weird but it was fun. It can be gifted to others without ruining any clues after you’re done.

Purchased this for my son and his partner in lieu of an advent calendar. They are in their mid twenties and love games. They absolutely loved doing the clues every day. They said it was great fun and made a change from the alcoholic and chocolate advents which I normally buy. They did have to look things up to solve the clues and they said some clues were quick to solve and others took perhaps 20 minutes. They said that it was interesting and good fun. They would recommend to friends, and purchase others in the set.

Bought this for my 16yo who is studying A-level Criminology. I thought it would be a fun one to work her brain & something different to the usual makeup ones. Some days were harder than others & a few were really challenging. We had to access the hints a handful of times & admit defeat once. Lots of fun though & she’s said that she would do another so I’ll take that as a win. Sealed everything back up for my niece to do next December.
It can be played all at once as a game, but you definitely need an afternoon or evening to do it.

Bought this for my partner for advant, we started doing the clues daily however haf way through the answers got so bizarre that he lost interest. Now February and he hasn’t bothered to checkout the remaining days. I did enjoy the ones we did though, so difficult to judge.

This was the advent’s non sugary alternative. My son(12y) was thrilled with this. Some of the puzzles were really challenging and those we did it together and really enjoyed it.

None of the ouzzles are too tricky, juat the right level tonbe a fun daily activity for advent or won’t take forever if you wantto play it in one go.
A couple of clues a little vague but onkine support feom own website is great.

This makes a change from the regular Advent calendar with windows to open. This box contains 24 puzzles to solve instead. It brought the family together each day to solve each challenge and, whilst some of them were easy to solve, there were others that did rely upon combined skills. I’d certainly buy another one next year.

Really enjoyed this game which was played in an evening with friends. The puzzles are not too difficult, but they are engaging and a lot of fun. One word of advice though, I think the game makers originate from Germany maybe? There’s just a couple of parts in the quiz which haven’t been translated well, for instance playing cards where D is Queen and B is Jack… I’ll say no more as to not ruin it, but knowing this little bit of info would really help

Bought this for my adult daughter thought it would be a change from a chocolate advent calendar. Some tasks are quite difficult but its good to challenge the mind?. Can re envelope and pass on to others to use

Some puzzle are very challenging some engagingly interesting, would have thought the questions would suit adults (older than 14) not because it’s not age appropriate but due to the wide / depth of the knowledge. With that, would love to see a more age suitable final note. Equally would love to be on the next journey if there is one!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust finished Charlie’s world tour as an advent calendar and I cannot recommend it enough! The puzzles vary in type, difficulty, and because they lead you to the next with no other outward way to get there, it’s the perfect built in honesty check. I had to go on the website a couple times for help, and do wish some of the hints were more hinty than one-three hints then the solution but that’s just my personal preference.

Overall, if you or someone you love love riddles and puzzles, this makes a fantastic advent calendar or Christmas family game.

Love this game, I bought it as an advent calendar but you can use it any time (24 envelopes to solve). I do this with my family (all adults ages 27-64) and it’s great. Some are quite challenging which is good. Definitely recommend

This game is great! We bought it as an advent calendar for our 12 year old son and decided to play it as a family. What started out as one puzzle a day became multiple puzzles a day because we didn’t want to stop. The game is well designed, logical and immersive. Each puzzle tested our thinking in different ways and the conclusion was satisfying. I highly recommend this puzzle ga.e and plan to purchase other games from this company.

+ The game has an envelope for each day with a riddle (from 15 years up) to discover the next Country (envelope to open with the number of the day)
There’s also a world map about 3050 cm with red dots for every place to visit
The riddles are amazing and various, you have to think in different ways (using logic, observation, internet sites, your phone, intuition, graphic images, …) and looking at the envelopes figures trying to guess which is the next to open
The instructions are clear (we’re from Italy and never had problems) and in the game website you can have a tip if you’re not sure about what to do

    – In some of the sheets there’re printing mistakes, so they can be hard to solve by yourself without reading the on-line tip (in the hint the errors are always explained)

The product is much better than we thought, we liked it a lot!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Christmas calendar!

Ar 46 years old, I thought I’d seen every type of advent calendar going until we ordered this one! Every day, there’s an envelope to open with a puzzle inside that you need to solve to find the clue for the next envelope. The puzzles range in difficulty from relatively easy to quite difficult and even figuring out the link to the next envelope can be tricky! If you get really stuck, there’s even a website with hints that can help!

The best thing is that it’s not just an advent calendar either! Although I will have solved all of the puzzles by Christmas day, I can still challenge other family members to complete it. We have friends round for dinner from time to time and I just know that this will make a fantastic dinner party entertainment! If I ever get onto Come Dine With Me, I know what my entertainment will be! This is an amazing product for anyone who loves puzzles and I would highly recommend it.

The printing and presentation is beautiful, and the challenges are never boring Lee easy or impossibly hard. My wife and I love finding unique advent calendars and this is probably our all-time favorite. Only quibble is that there are a few errors in some of the clues that make them unsolvable without going to the help website. Errors are documented there, however.

This is the most fun advent calendar ever! Each letter is unique, and sometimes we’ve been surprised by the challenge! I would say it’s just the right level of difficulty for my partner and I, not too difficult or easy. I cannot emphasize how fun it is to discover what puzzle each letter holds! I don’t want to spoil it so I won’t, but if you like unique, cooperative games and the novelty of an advent calendar, you’ll love this!

This has been a great addition to our Advent calendars. My daughter and I are the primary puzzlers and we are really enjoying the diversity of the challenges – some are quite tricky! They are all interesting and we enjoy spending time together reading and solving the clues. We definitely use the website as backup so we don’t open the wrong envelope but so far so good! I hope there will be a new one for next Christmas.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersTrying to get away from the usual chocolate advent calendars my wife surprised the family this year with other types; coffee for me and my son, make-up for our teenage daughter, and fidget toys for our youngest. In return I bought this one for her, knowing she loves a good puzzle game.

Not really a calendar, this comes with a set of clues in sealed envelopes; you open one envelope each day (or do them all at once, whatever) and solve the clue to determine which envelope is opened next. Some of the clues are quite simple (even I got the answer), but some are very tricky and needed me and my wife to put our heads together to work them out. Once you’ve solved all the clues you should reveal a final destination (not the film) which is perfect for Christmas.

Overall, we enjoyed playing this, and will look out for more in the future.

Fantastic product. Purchased for my hubby and 24 year old daughter as something different for advent, peith 24 clues to get through. They both loved the challenges, although some clues/challenges where easier than others. The links, the clues and the character ineractions where brilliant.
However I would say it was for older children at least over 12 as my daughter and hubby like challenge games, but they got frustrated at times and looked up the website for additional clues.. Lol. A game not just for advent. They loved it and I loved watching them figure stuff out.. Lol

I have 17, 13, 11 and 10 year old s and they are all enjoying it and it’s challenging but not too hard. What an amazing ideafantastic for family fun away from screens! Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this for my mum who loves puzzles and ‘whodunnits’ for an advent calendar. So far she’s had loads of fun trying to work out which envelope she needs to open next each day. The quality of the physical letters etc seems excellent. She’s found some of them quite challenging/time consuming, but it’s the sort of thing that ‘seems really obvious once you know’ so would be suitable for older children also, but definitely works for curious adults. A great advent alternative to bring a little bit of excitement leading up to Christmas, and as I get little updates I feel that I’m on the journey with her. Great value for money.
