I was very hesitant to buy one of these, but after having a hearing loss issue for over 20 years I wanted to just have a look for myself at what damage I have in my ear.
The software is straight forward to use, I use an iPhone 13 Pro – the camera tethered instantly to the phone via WiFi and we were off! It comes with a bag of various tools to remove any wax / bugs / dirt from your ears. The quality of the camera is absolutely super, enough detail to make out any issues in your ear – it took some time to get a feeling for the angle of pushing the camera in!
Take your time, relax and use the camera very slowly – I wasn’t too fussed about using the camera to scoop anything out (thankfully I hadn’t had any blockages or build up of wax). I was able to view my ear drum in 1080p, record videos and images via the app. Mind absolutely blown! It’s also a great way for entertaining the children as they were curious about what’s hiding in Daddy’s ears!!!
I don’t think you could find a cooler gadget for the same money – fast food chains are charging more for a meal than the cost of this and it could be an ear saver if your child has put something where it shouldn’t be!
I have no problem in my ear.
I used this device to locate wooden and metal splinters which penetrated deep into skin during different works.
These splinters were so tiny that couldn’t be seen with naked eye.
My palm and fingers were in continuous pain from last 3 months.
Then i came across with this ear wax camera. I thought why not give it a try to find out objects in my hand.
I have attached a video which will explain how much this device is helpful for alternative uses as well.
Can’t say just thanks to the manufacturer. The releif from pain and uncomfort is super satisfying and big thanks to the device manufacturer and distributor.
Had one of these of another brand looked the same but broke within minutes. This one is much higher quality and works great. Additional tools included are great too. Only downside is very short battery life but it is fast to charge.
This product is good for the price. I bought to replace another one that my toddler broke. The other one was definitely better as it had a zoom function which made navigating a bit easier. This is still a good option though. It does the job well. Just a little trickier to use
This is a great device, and the camera quality is great
I didn’t experience any issues with the tip falling off or coming loose, as some people have had this problem.
The camera is very clear. It’s best to orientate the camera first before inserting into your ear, so you know which way is up,down, left & right. I use my finger as a guide.
Very easy to connect to my device (iPhone)
And very easy to use.
My only concern is; although I was being very careful, and very gentle I have somehow managed to cause a slight bleed in my ear canal. I don’t know how, perhaps I used the wrong tip or my ears are very sensitive.
Speaking about tips. My ears seem relativity clean, but the tip I used couldn’t grab onto what little wax I had. I had to try hard to get it out, in the end I left the majority of it because I know our ears need to have some wax for protection and since mine weren’t overly built up, this wasn’t an issue to leave what was there.
It’s great to see if you’ve got blocked ears, but I suggest going to a professional to remove any build up. You’ve got to be very careful when inserting things into your ear, as not to damage your eardrum or cause any bleeding.
The device itself though is great and I don’t have any issues besides the slight bleed (user error maybe) but this shows how sensitive your ears are, so be very careful !
Just received my ear Camera Today very impressed but the extra things you get ie the long attachments how do you use these I thought you they would attach with the camera but you can’t please help
The pictures are clear, and the app is easy to use – the has really changed my ear cared:- I have recently had an ear infection where I was bleeding from one of my ear – I have wanted to see what is happening inside my ear since it started, and now I can! The battery life isn’t the longest, but for the cost, the picture quality is excellent and I can redo order a video or capture still photos. A bargain for the money. Would recommend
I bought this as I suffer from wax build up and now I use a hearing aid, I wanted something to keep my ears clean. This ear wax camera cleaner is fantastic. I managed to safely clean my ears. I would definitely recommend this item. I dont know how long the battery lasts but I used it right out the box and it done my 2 ears, so i’m assuming with a full charge it would last for a good few cleans.
Hard to use at first as it’s a mirror image on screen. So turn left and on screen turns right.bit of use and you get use to it. Very easy to set up but battery life not very good.
Unfortunately I have to attend my local NHS ENT clinic regularly to get my ears ‘vacuumed’. Again, unfortunately, I read recently that this is a service the NHS intend to stop. My GP can do it, but they’re old school using hot water jets.
Looking around, I found various High Street ‘names’ offered the ‘suction’ service for prices ranging between 35 and 55! (Odd so many are Opticians!?).
Thought in the circumstances I’d give one of these tools a go, and this was on offer at an attractive price — less than half what I’d be charged on the High Street.
So far, I’ve found this tool easy to set up and clean afterwards, didn’t cause be any discomfort or pain, and does the job really well. Cant comment on battery life as only used it once. Also discovered what the NHS nurse sees!
I haven’t yet used the little tool kit of probes that come with the main tool, as I’ve found that most of the wax comes out just using the silicon end to the camera, and to be honest I’m a little nervous about using the probes.
If the NHS do indeed stop the hospital ear wax removal service I’ll be happy to continue to use this tool, as well as saving time and money!
